Helloooo Smile

I thought I'd introduce myself on here as I am due 28th March, but suspect I will be late, as I was with DC#1. I really feel for all of you who I read are still buggered with sickness. It was me a week ago. Funny how it just went away after 12 weeks. Now I must stop eating or I'll be the size of a whale soon.

Niks2026 - What a nice clear pic!

ecofreckle · 27/09/2016 20:50

Choccy in my original post natal group who transferred to Facebook we had a few join specifically for the group. So, they had a slightly obscure user name so they couldn't be found, only belonged to the private group and only used Facebook for keeping in touch with us. No life sucked out! It's an option for you.

choccybiscuit · 27/09/2016 21:07

Thanks ecofrekleI'll look into it Smile

Bubbinsmakesthree · 27/09/2016 21:19

I am definitely improving day-by-day. Even my bump is smaller! It does seem a bit worrying not to 'feel' pregnant but I remember last time that it was similar, I have to remind myself it's good to be moving through this phase!

Chloe663 · 27/09/2016 23:06

Hey guys, I'm due April 19th... No scans yet & it's my first baby. Erm... Every little cramp has me wanting to call 999 lol so here I am on mumsnet Blush

SharkBastard · 28/09/2016 04:36

Welcome Chloe the first trimester is fun, right Wink

I woke an hour ago and can't get back to sleep! Hunger has kicked in which means nausea isn't far behind :( would kill for a full 8 hour sleep

MrsRhubarb · 28/09/2016 05:49

Welcome Chloe

I woke up at about the same time Shark stayed in bed reading for a while, then got up and mopped the kitchen and bathroom floors while there is no-one around to walk on them.

Feel really queasy this morning, but SCAN TOMORROW! YAY!

Puggleface · 28/09/2016 06:33

Morning ladies, welcome shylittlefrog and chloe

Really struggling over here this morning. Am coming down with an awful cold. DP has it, as does everyone in the office and I feel knocked for 6 even though I know I don't even really have it properly yet! I think lemsips are off the cards? So just hot water a lemon?
Work is also super stressful I'm considering telling my boss I'm pregnant and need a bit of space but don't want to hide behind the pregnancy and really wanted to wait till my 12 week scan (it's only on Friday, so not long to wait)
Urgh just feeling rubbish in general and want to go curl up in a ball on the sofa all day! Hope everyone else is feeling a bit better!

MumiTravels · 28/09/2016 07:04

@puggleface - I'm on hot ribena with two paracetamol dissolved in and strepsils Brew

TopKittyKat · 28/09/2016 07:17

Hi Puggleface - I ended up telling my boss at 8 weeks as I was really struggling. I'm really glad I did as he has really stepped up and taken some of the pressure off me.
On days when the sickness has been too bad, I've been able to work from home. I'm really pleased I told him.
If you're nearly at 12 weeks, then maybe it wouldn't be a bad thing?

sarahhh1984 · 28/09/2016 07:23

Choccy, I'll still be around here. I quit Facebook a few years ago for a few different reasons and won't be re-joining it. No problem with others using it, it's just not for me.

ChatEnOeuf · 28/09/2016 08:02

Hot squash and paracetamol if you need it. I'm awful with coughs and colds (working in paeds, there's always something going around), but hot squash does as much as Lemsip. The steam is what I need.

I've told most people at work, there's been a few moments where I've been shaking and dizzy, so I've had to sit down more than usual; and some of the conditions we treat I have to avoid if at all possible (or be massively anal about barrier nursing). Still hungry-nauseous. DH wonders when it'll end as I'm getting progressively more hopeless with things I want to eat. Well it was 14w first time and 16w second time, so I think we have a while yet!

Welcome newbies, congrats on scans, good luck for those waiting. Eleven week check today, then the recurrent miscarriage clinic should hopefully be able to sign me over to the obstetric team - big moment.

I'd definitely still post on both FB and here. But I don't share photos here. A secret group that you only belong to, with an obscure name and an empty profile is perfectly acceptable. We have a Regina Falangy in one of our other groups Grin

marmitecheesetoast · 28/09/2016 08:28

My scan is tomorrow too Rhubarb! I kept waking up last night thinking it was today though! One more day to get through now for us.

Sarah and Choccy I may stick my nose in to the FB group but will also definitely still post here too so don't worry there will still be some of us here I think!

I think I am also coming down with the lurgy puggle - 3 weeks after the last one, urgh!! It's miserable when you're pregnant too. Is there any way you could just call in sick for a day or two and rest at home?

Jpeg I'm the same. My trousers all fit fine in the morning, by late afternoon they are a bit tight and by the evening i have to undo them/get changed as massive bloated bump appears throughout the day - it's horrible! Really want to know why you start the day with a flat stomach and end the day looking 20 weeks pregnant??! Last hour at work yesterday I was really conscious of it Blush

summerskittles91 · 28/09/2016 09:35

Good luck for everyone with upcoming scans!

I'd like a Facebook group because I'm on Facebook a lot Blush but during work I spend most of my time on MN so ill be around here too :)

My cold/flu is getting a lot worse but I have ridiculous deadlines at work so cant take any days off at the moment which sucks. My boss is also due to go on paternity leave for 2 weeks when his partner has her baby but it's all so uncertain.

Bought diced mango in a packet, but half of it isn't ripe enough or sweet so now I'm really annoyed Sad

Everyone is falling Ill With that cold virus going around. Hope you all start to feel better. Good luck to all the scan ladies!

everdene · 28/09/2016 11:14

I'd be on for a Facebook thread too, I find this group moves sooo fast!

SharkBastard · 28/09/2016 12:29

I'm at home today, barely slept and just feel awful once again! Had to take it as holiday as I'm sure work are getting fed up with my flakiness Sad

The nausea is really getting me down, I've been sick everyday since 6 weeks and I'm now 10+3. The nausea stops me from enjoying anything, the midwife said there isn't much they can do so I've just got to bloody lump it!

Never again!

Chloe663 · 28/09/2016 12:48

Thanks everyone for the welcome. Nausea hasn't been easy. I feel so sick but without the puking. Some days I'll ram anything down my throat because that's the only time I know I'll eat

Daisy111 · 28/09/2016 13:18

Hello all

I've been off on Greek hols - a week spent on a boat is not advisable in 1st trimester! Much puking. But lovely the rest of the time!

Great to hear positive scan news. I am 12 weeks today, but scan not until Monday.

Can't wait to be able to tell work/wider social circle. I think I'll scream if I have to secretly order one more soda and lime dressed up as a G&T!

Going to help a friend with a newish baby this evening as her husband is away... Perhaps a glimpse of what I'm letting myself in for!

My name is on the group list, but I've never filled in my details:
Due date 12 April
DC#1

LotsaTuddles · 28/09/2016 13:51

Ok. I've just made the group. Let me know if you want me to add you. Probably better to send email addresses as it'll be easier to find you.

Can pm if it's easier

I have just recovered from a cold. I never get them and this one knocked me for 6. Pharmacist told me the only medication I could have was a saline nasal spray, thanks love.

Lotsa - how do I pm you?

gemsbok · 28/09/2016 16:21

Dont worry - I've jumped on desktop site and worked it out.

choccybiscuit · 28/09/2016 16:50

knittingI think it looks really nice. I say embrace the bump! It does look like your pregnant, not like me who looks fat instead of pregnant Grin

jpeg28 · 28/09/2016 17:20

Welcome everyone new! chloe I think I'm due the 19th too!! Will be confirmed in scan next week hopefully!

Sorry to everyone feeling rubbish. I have had to eat constantly today to make myself feel normal! I even cracked a packet of ginger biscuits out during a lesson!!

Congrats to everyone with scans.. not long until we have call had them!!

I'm sure people know at work! I keep snapping at this one teacher... she's just irritating me! And I'm sure I look huge! Managed normal trousers today and marmite I've ordered one of those bump bands so thanks for the recommendation!

knitting I love the dress! Would you mind announcing you're pg? I'm sure people won't ask... your bump isn't that big?

I'm up for Facebook... I use mumsnet on my phone so now idea how to do private messaging?
