Behold, the wonder of birth! Members from 6 weeks bfp to post-partum wonder Mamas! No question to grotty or minging.

We've come full circle from obsessing about cervical mucus to now obsessing if it's our vagina baby plug going! What larks!

Lots of talk about poo, ours and now babies too! Baby brain is REAL! This heat can kiss my arse. And who KNEW being so neurotic about which changing mat to buy could be so satisfying and addictive!

Sooo many gorgeous babies now! And equally lovely Mummy's! We are amazing! What a year! Can you believe it's been a year since our first tentative TTC thread!? Look how far we've come!

Roll up, literally, in my case, cause I'm practically rotund! for TTC #1 Grads!

Congratulations cosmo! I love the name Arthur Smile Hope you are both doing ok.

Glad you are feeling better today indi.

Canters15 · 14/10/2016 11:08

Congratulations cosmo! So glad he's here safely.

bunch sorry your in laws and dh are being crap.

indi quite frankly you are a saint having your mother in the house for so long! Mine has been here since Wednesday and is driving me potty. I love her but she's bloody hard work at times. Hope you make it to afternoon tea this weekend.

miley those tiny little feet!! So cute!

Well it never rains but it pours here! My vomiting has been getting worse all week, then discovered my bp was high and heart rate v fast so ended up getting admitted for iv fluids/anti emetics etc etc. Looks like bp was dehydration related but at increased risk of pre eclampsia now so need twice weekly bp and urine monitoring at home. Hopefully all will be fine but ffs since when did HG become a third trimester problem?! Back on good old cyclizine three times a day and feeling better at least. To add insult to injury, bump is measuring 31 weeks and I am 35 weeks (tomorrow). I haven't quite fallen onto the lowest centile so they're holding fire on another growth scan for now. I'm just frustrated, I feel like it's all going wrong but I can't pinpoint what exactly I'm worried about, I just feel like I'm doing a rubbish job of growing this baby and he'd be safer on the outside.

Anyway, rant over and will stop with the woe is me!

Nevlet · 14/10/2016 11:26

Canters sorry you are feeling poorly so close to the end! Sorry if I have missed it but do you have a c section date yet?

We finally have poo out of Bodhi! He barely went 12 hours without but blimey did he complain. Trying to get everything washed and packed up as we are leaving after Bods 2/3 am feed as its an 8 hour drive to Devon tonight but he is making it difficult. He is being good as gold but is having a high need day -he is hungry then we have about 5 nappy changes throughout bottle then he is sick on himself so we change clothes then ge needa changing again so he pees on himself we change clothes again etc and all of a sudden I have lost an hour and a half. He is tentatively asleep in his bouncy chair so going to crack on whilst I can. Have a good day everyone!

LovelyFishy · 14/10/2016 12:01

Cosmo congratulations on baby Arthur!

Canters that would be a horrible surprise having more sickness in T3! Not long to go though!

Indi sorry you had a bad day but I'' glad you got some stuff cleared up in the end. Hope you have a fabby weekend!

Got a date through for my 12 week scan, eek! Grin

BunchOfBobs · 14/10/2016 15:13

Huge congratulations Co5mo. Welcome to the world baby Arthur.

Sorry you had such a rubbish day Infi. Hope you're weekend birthday is much nicer.

Looks like Atticus is getting his first cold. Coughing and spluttering, more sneezing and very unhappy when he gets so sniffly he can't breathe properly .bring on the saline drops!

leoniethelioness · 14/10/2016 15:35

Welcome to the world, baby Arthur xxx

Mileymoocow · 14/10/2016 18:50

Huuuuge congratulations co5mo!!! Hope you're both doing well!

canters I'm sorry you feel so crap. It's unfair you're having a hard time.

Mothercare have all their Christmas stuff in. We're going to have a little elf

PotatosMum · 14/10/2016 21:20

Cosmo Congrats! So pleased for you. Another thread baby, yay!!!

Canters sorry you're having a tough time. Remember, the measurements the midwife takes are more often than not wrong. Also, please don't worry about the preeclampsia risk. I was a risk for the last few weeks and both Arya and I were fine. You're being monitored now so if they have any real concerns they'll just get baby out a bit earlier than planned.

Nev hope you got everything you wanted done... You've got to laugh at the comic timing nappy changes.

Bunch poor Atticus, hope he feels better soon.

Miley those outfits are so cute! We're going to mothercare this weekend so I might look for some outfits for Arya.

So Arya's 8 weeks today which means she's officially no longer a newborn Sad she's now learnt how to hug when I pick her up (particularly if she's upset) she'll put her arms around my neck and snuggle in Smile

BunchOfBobs · 14/10/2016 21:57

Potato I heard newborn was up to 12 weeks. Waaah has my boy not been a newborn for 1.5 weeks already? Sad

IrregularCommentary · 14/10/2016 22:38

Congratulations on Arthur Co5mo - Hope you're recovering well.

Hope the journey is alright Nev, that's a long drive!

Potato - can't believe Arya can proper hug, that's adorable!

Hope you're still doing ok Indi. The lack of independence post c section is really really tough. I was able to drive and get out a bit fairly quickly so hopefully you won't be contained too long. Oh, and Autumn is absolutely gorgeous btw.

Bunch I'm not surprised the in laws situation is getting to you, hope it starts to improve as time goes on. Fingers crossed Atticus' cold disappears quickly too.

Canters, I had pregnancy induced hypertension at the end of my pregnancy and was under monitoring. I also got really high blood pressure again after the birth and was again on close monitoring until a few days ago. I know it's crap and worrying, but it doesn't mean that anything will go wrong. We're all happy and healthy over here. Agree with Potato on accuracy of bump measurements as well, doesn't mean anything is wrong so try not to worry.

Miley that feet boat picture is cute! Harrison is such a love. How are things at home now, OH still stepping up and helping?

Stardrey glad things are going better for you now with DH's new job. Hopefully it's all plain sailing now until the little one arrives.

Hope you're not too much longer Lillian!

Sorry for being awol recently. I've been keeping up with the thread but not posting for some reason. I keep only having time for a quick line and so not thinking it's worth it.

Tamsin's doing well and putting on weight - I think (from a fairly unscientific standing on scales with and then without her) that she's 8lb 11oz now, so 2lb 9oz above birth weight. She's 5 weeks on Sunday so I guess that's about right.

Having a tough time with her at the moment as she's developed silent reflux. Tues and Weds night she screamed pretty constantly between 10pm and 4am. Clearly really distressed and in pain. It's fucking horrible.

Doc has given her baby Gaviscon, which is helping but not stopping it. I'm upstairs in bed typing this while she is screaming with DH trying to calm/console her downstairs. Will probably end up going back down and taking over as I can't sleep anyway if she's crying. Back to the docs on Monday I think if she's not picked up over the weekend. She's better than she was Tues/Weds before the medicine, but it's still not good and it's completely exhausting. She's better during the day thankfully so she does at least get some respite from being so uncomfortable. It's just awful not being able to help her.

Nevlet · 15/10/2016 02:11

We are up! Van packed...Bodhi had middle of night feed very enthusiastically... off we go! Grin

Mileymoocow · 15/10/2016 07:17

nev have a lovely time! Well done on getting away on time too.

irregular he's getting better. I've sent him downstairs with Harrison after I changed him and got him out of his sleeping bag and into an outfit who is wide awake so I can get some sleep yet here I am on mums net! but as ridiculous as it sounds I don't feel bloody tired anymore.

Hope everyone has lovely weekend plans Grin after shopping yesterday and spending a fortune on OH and Harrison (I'm still refusing to spend money on clothes that hopefully won't fit in a couple of months) we're going to have a quiet day today and I'll hopefully have a nap so I actually see X Factor later

Nevlet · 15/10/2016 07:44

Thanks miley and irregular! We have stopped for breakfast just south of bristol got a couple hours left. Bodhi achieved his longest sleep ever -5 hours in the car. Shame we werent in bed to enjoy it haha!

Have a lovely day everyone Smile

marmitecheesetoast · 15/10/2016 08:54

Congratulations Cosmo!! Arthur is a lovely name! Hope you are both doing well

That feet painting is adorable miley!

Sorry to hear you had a difficult day Indi glad you're feeling better now and hopefully you've had a lovely time with birthday take 2 Smile don't feel bad you've only just had a baby, your hormones must be all over the shop!!

So sorry you're feeling rubbish canters sickness in T3 doesn't sound fair Flowers

Great news on getting your 12 week scan date fishy! When is it? At least you have something to count down to now!

Hope Tamsin and Atticus feel better soon Irregular and Bunch

We went out for dinner last night to celebrate 8 years together! Was lovely as was the first time I've really seen DH properly all week. I've been really knackered again this week and he's been stressed at work and a bit of a grump as got so run down in Germany at beer festival last weekend so was lovely to do something together. He still slept in the spare room though as he's still full of the cold and coughing and spluttering everywhere and snoring his head off Hmm so not the most romantic of evenings! Ah well. We have good friends coming round for dinner tonight who we haven't seen for a few weeks and we really wanted to tell them our news in person so finally doing that tonight! Which is exciting. Then I think that's pretty much everyone told! Grin

Pinklily1 · 15/10/2016 09:06

Morning ladies!

That's a long drive nev! At least getting up in the middle of the night probably wasn't as hard as it used to be! I hope you have a lovely time. And go Bodhi with a five hour sleep!

miley, those outfits are cute. I always said I wouldn't do novelty outfits but now I'm embracing it - we're going for a Christmas pudding outfit I think Smile I'm sure our babies won't thank us in years to come when we show the photos of them all dressed up but it's got to be done!

irregular, Tamsin's weight gain sounds great. Sorry to hear about her reflux though, it's awful when there feels like there is nothing you can do to help them. Hopefully the doctor will be able to give her something else which will help more.

Exciting about the 12 week scan date fishy!

I'm so sorry to hear your sickness is back canters Flowers You are doing an amazing job, growing a human. So much is out of our control so don't be hard on yourself. Have you got a c section date yet?

I've been for my first post baby run. I felt OK doing it but the next day my legs felt like I'd run a marathon, I'd only done 2 miles though! Just need to build the miles back up now.

OH and I have also DTD Grin In the nicest possible sense I wanted to get it over with. It hurt to begin with as things felt a bit tighter (or maybe not quite as lubricated as I was a bit nervous it would hurt Blush). Took it slow and it was fine. I've got a bit of bleeding now though, did anyone else have that? My external stitches are all healed so it can't be that.

Hope everyone else is well.

Nevlet · 15/10/2016 09:16

Thanks miley and irregular! We have stopped for breakfast just south of bristol got a couple hours left. Bodhi achieved his longest sleep ever -5 hours in the car. Shame we werent in bed to enjoy it haha!

Have a lovely day everyone Smile

Danni89 · 15/10/2016 10:12

pink we DTD too, but no bleeding here. Did feel a bit tight and dry, but really good too lol.

Have a lovely trip nev

Can't believe arya is no longer a newborn crazy! potato

Defo getting Mason a Xmas outfit, eeek excited

LillianFullStop · 15/10/2016 11:01

Indi hope you enjoy take #2 for your birthday this weekend!

Nev trip sounds like it's going smoothly so far - I think family road trip sounds like a great idea - enjoy!

canters sorry you are having it so rough. The last weeks are tough enough as it is FlowersFlowers

hope Atticus and Tamsin feel better soon the poor tots!

Well done to those braving the DTD hurdle! Very encouraging - there's been none of that here for months lol

No progress here on baby coming. 39w tomorrow I was hoping she would come in the 38th week! No twinges at all today not even the night time cramping from the 2 previous nights.

And on top of friends and family asking after an update... we've had an estate agent and our old pal Ovia ask after the baby too... Confused

Thread 12 TTC#1 Grads. "You are my favourite thing that ever shit all over my hands"
Canters15 · 15/10/2016 12:48

Thanks for the support ladies, feeling a bit better about everything now- baby is kicking away which is the main thing! For those who asked yes I have my c section date- 14th November- and just had a letter through confirming that today, so very exciting! Just four more weeks to get through.

irregular so sorry to hear about the reflux, I hope she picks up soon.

nev enjoy the trip! Glad Bodhi is being so good!

pink well done on dtd and going for a run! I'm really looking forward to picking up some exercise again, I think that's half the reason I've found this pregnancy so hard.

Loving the Christmas outfits, I am definitely getting one for baby boy! I want a whole series of photos to embarrass him with when he's 18!

LovelyFishy · 15/10/2016 14:55

Canters in my humble opinion your baby has the best birthday ever. Grin

Lillian I guess all the asking must be getting pretty annoying now! At least you know it's nearly baby snuggles time!

Nevlet glad the drive went well with little one. I've family down there so good to know trips are possible!

Marmite scan is 8th November, just over 3 weeks away!

Nevlet · 15/10/2016 15:15

Arrived about two hours ago. He had got very grizzly after doing the epic asda shop for 5 adults and baby for a week but has crashed out now we are here.

His chicco doesnt fit in any of the bedrooms! OH tried to persuade me to go and buy a monitor and have Bodh in the lounge- no way! He is only 6weeks! I have him building a surface next to my side of the bed that the chicco mattress can sit half on and half on my side of the bed and then Bodh can sleep in his sleepyhead on that with me.

Has anyone else's little ones had a 6 week growth spurt? He is constantly wanting food and draining his bottles in minutes rather than over an hour and wanting them more frequently. He is a bit cranky at times but otherwise is completely himself so I assume its a growth spurt?

Nevlet · 15/10/2016 15:17

Lovely where are your family down here? We are staying in Westward Ho this week. When we camped over the summer we did from Newquay up to Croyde. Was lovely apart from sleeping in the campervan at 36 weeks!

LovelyFishy · 15/10/2016 19:01

Croyde is lovely! You're not far from Bude either which I also love! My family's from Alphington near Exeter. I only live 4 hours away so it's a good long weekend getaway option!

Question on soft cheese in pregnancy. I know guidelines say no but that's because it's not pasteurised, right? The Tesco Camembert says it's made with pasteurised milk, does that mean it's okay to eat?

PotatosMum · 15/10/2016 20:17

Bunch I read somewhere that newborn was up to 2 months Sad. I don't want Arya to no longer be a newborn Sad

Irregular Don't worry about not being able to post much at the moment. It's hard when you have a teeny baby demanding your attention.
I hope the gavisgon works and that Tamsin feels better over the weekend.

Nev Well done getting out as planned. You must have driven past me this morning if you were south of Bristol Smile
Sounds like Bodhi is having a growth spurt, that's exactly what Arya did during hers and 6 weeks sounds round about the right time frame. It only lasts a couple of days so things should be back to normal soon.
OMG I've just read you're at Westward Ho! I went there every year for my birthday when I was a kid, I think we only stopped once I turned 13 and couldn't take the time off school any more. I went back there last year and couldn't believe how much it's changed. I nearly cried when I saw the massive hotel they've erected overlooking the rocks I used to play on, and they'd demolished the arcade and chip shop that we used to go to every night... I may be a little sentimental about the place Wink
I can't wait to take Arya to Devon next summer Smile

Pink Well done getting out for a run. I'm sure your fitness levels will return to normal soon.

Lillian I'm sure baby will turn up soon Probably at the least convenient moment possible!

So, we finally started painting the nursery today Smile Just need to put one extra coat on the dark wall and finish the cutting in, then I can put up the wall sticker (when it arrives) and put up the furniture. I'm so excited although I've also come to the conclusion that painting is one of the few things OH and I cannot do together as we have very different approaches... mainly that I think dust sheets are for catching pain, OH thinks that they should be kept immaculate... I didn't pee myself laughing after he scolded me for dripping paint and then dropped a paint bucket [evil]

We also went to Mothercare, I wanted to by Arya a Christmas outfit but they didn't have many in and OH decided to buy a Ghost Busters outfit instead Grin I did manage to get her a Sophie the Giraph though so I'm ready for the next time her teeth play up!

Nevlet · 16/10/2016 03:23

Potato I had never been here until a couple years ago. OH and his Mum used to visit family here every year when he was little and he hadn't been back in about 20 years. He still loves it! Normally we bring the van and stay in a mix of simple field campsites or car parks - Torridge Council allow overnight motor home sleeping so we have spent a few nights right in the middle of Westward Ho or Appledore. I love Instow, Braunton and Croyde most I think. We are off to the Big Sheep either Tuesday or Wednesday- really wanted to go when we were here in August but OH was determined we needed to wait till Bodhi was here for a family trip.

Little lad is up for his second night feed of his starving orphan audition for Oliver! apparent growth spurt. So tired.
