Behold, the wonder of birth! Members from 6 weeks bfp to post-partum wonder Mamas! No question to grotty or minging.

We've come full circle from obsessing about cervical mucus to now obsessing if it's our vagina baby plug going! What larks!

Lots of talk about poo, ours and now babies too! Baby brain is REAL! This heat can kiss my arse. And who KNEW being so neurotic about which changing mat to buy could be so satisfying and addictive!

Sooo many gorgeous babies now! And equally lovely Mummy's! We are amazing! What a year! Can you believe it's been a year since our first tentative TTC thread!? Look how far we've come!

Roll up, literally, in my case, cause I'm practically rotund! for TTC #1 Grads!

Wondered if/when you'd arrive lovely epic congratulations and here's to a healthy, happy 9 months ahead for you! I've not been keeping up with the ttc thread for fear of being a baby bomber and I didn't want to upset anyone.

bunch I have heard the toast is ambrosia of the gods Grin

Co5mo I would go absolutely mental if anyone did that in my house!

I'm still here. 25w. Very hormonal, not helped by the DIY. I can't stand a messy house. I know baby equals messy house. Not sure how I'm going to cope. Switching between throwing massive strops and endless tears.

Sodasoda · 03/10/2016 19:17

Lillian great news on finishing work! I also have a grosnug - they come in different togs like the gro bags and fit babies from 5lb I think.

Cosmo that sounds awful about MIL! I would get your OH to have a word about boundaries. Failing that change the locks?! Wink

Indi not long to go! I'd love to have my mum with me but unfortunately my dad isn't well so she can't leave him overnight (they live 200 miles away)

What is this about toast in hospital?! I wasn't allowed any snacks during labour (epidural and drip so higher chance of c-section so they didn't let me eat) so after a 12 hours of labour I was ready for food. I got a cup of tea in a plastic cup and 2 slices of BREAD! Angry DH got sent out for pizza Wink

Good news on start date for DH Audrey

Congratulations and welcome fishy!

Good luck for injections tomorrow bunch

I've been back to GP today to check up on my kidney infection. Apparently it is STILL there! But tests show that I'm on the right antibiotics now so will hopefully clear it up properly.

Waves to everyone Smile

LillianFullStop · 03/10/2016 21:19

Congrats on the BFP fishy!

Yay Canters!!! Doesn't it feel great?? Now you can really relax Smile

Cosmo MIL she just comes and cleans up and then leaves?!? In theory sounds like a fairy godmother but the part that would really bug me is turning up unannounced!!

Hope jab day isn't too traumatic tomorrow bunch Flowers

soda glad that kidney infection is finally on its way out

good news on OH's start date stardrey!

Indi yay to mum arriving! how exciting! You're up next and there are only 3 ahead of me. 2 of the mums in my NCT group have given birth on the weekend ... it's all become very real! I had my 37w appointment today and weird to think my next visit will either be a sweep at 39w or in the labour ward Shock

Co5mo · 03/10/2016 21:21

Welcome Fishy.

Well DH is going to have a word with her...when he figures out how to approach the subject. This is a better response from him than I expected. Key will be turned in the lock from now on.

Co5mo · 03/10/2016 21:27

Lillian it would be great if she'd do the stuff that actually needed doing, like lifting the basket of ironing and bringing it back ironed later but just moving a few things around is down right creepy. She had done just enough that I was questioning whether I'd done it and baby brain was struggling or if she'd been in. If she hadn't touched the blankets I wouldn't have noticed I don't think. (She seems to be obsessed with folding our blankets and it irritates the hell out of me).

marmitecheesetoast · 03/10/2016 21:57

Hi Lovely! Was hoping you'd pop up here soon!! Congrats again on the BFP!! And now I'm not the last one on the list anymore, yay! Wink sorry to hear about the nausea, I know how that feels! Probably everyone has already told you this but snacking a little and often has been the best thing for me and do not even think about trying to get out of bed without eating a few dry crackers first! Oh and I've also found sucking extra strong peppermints on the bus/at work has helped when I've thought I'm going to be sick.

How exciting that your mum has arrived now Indi!

Hope the jabs aren't too traumatic tomorrow Bunch

Cosmo also agree on what others have said re leaving a key in the door/change the locks!! That is so unacceptable!

Glad to hear you are on the right antibiotics Soda really hope the infection buggers off soon

LillianFullStop · 03/10/2016 22:20

Cosmo that DOES sound creepy - glad your DH is on board!

So I've managed to convince myself that this baby is coming next week (2w before EDD) and impulsively ordered a TENS machine instead of hiring one. Oh man it's day 1 of ML and I think I'm losing it already. Imagine if I go all the way to 42w i might go nuts!

AudreyBradshaw · 03/10/2016 22:23

lillian if it makes you feel any better I'm 33 weeks on Wednesday and dh is utterly convinced that I will be giving birth at 36/37 weeks. I'm struggling to convince him that the likelihood is I'll still be pregnant in December and have to be induced. Grin

OP posts:
LillianFullStop · 03/10/2016 22:46

lol stardrey where did he get that idea from!? Man well I hope we both at least give birth in the same month as our EDD instead of rolling over to the next one.

AudreyBradshaw · 03/10/2016 22:54

In his mind, it's all down to size of bump lillian because my bump is now large, I'm almost at the end. He was telling the lads he worked with I only had a couple of weeks left like 3 weeks ago, I was like "wooooah, I've got ages left yet bro!"

Pinklily1 · 04/10/2016 06:01

Hi all

Lots to catch up on!

Firstly, huge congratulations to lisa on the birth of your baby girl!!

Woo hop for starting mat leave lillian and canters!

audrey, that's great that your OH has a start date.

miley, glad Harrison is letting you get some sleep.

Welcome fishy.

soda, how are you feeling? Is the infection clearing up?

cosmo, I would find that really creepy. I hate the idea of someone coming into my house and not saying anything. Your DH definitely needs to say something.

indi, it's so exciting that your date has been brought forward Smile I hope your mum arrived safe and sound and that you enjoy having her there.

Evelyn slept for five and a half hours straight tonight. I woke up because my boobs had leaked everywhere and they felt like they were going to explode HmmI've fed Evelyn and am now sat expressing to try to deflate the boobs a bit. Such a fun 6am activity!

I'm wedding dress shopping later today, which I'm very excited about. Also a little bit terrified that the dresses won't fit across my chest Shock I plan to try on the biggest meringue I can find, just out of curiosity (I'm not a poof ball wedding dress kind of person but am slightly intrigued to see how hideous they will look on me!).

PotatosMum · 04/10/2016 07:55

Canters congrats on the mat leave! You must be so relieved.

Cosmo your mil would drive me completely crazy! Definitely get OH to have a word and in the mean time keep the key in the lock.

Nev your mil sounds equally irritating. It must feel like you've got someone hoping for you to fail although I doubt she thinks that's what she's doing.

Audrey OMG you're due next month! I remember how excited we all were when you came over from the TTC thread and now you're going to be a mummy in a few short weeks!!

If size was an indication of when you give birth I would have had Arya at 6 months!! Confused

Bunch good luck with the jabs, let us know how they go as I've got mine next week.

Welcome Fishy and congrats Smile

Indi yay! For your mum arriving. When my little girl is all grown up I hope she's as happy to see me!

Soda glad your kidney infection is on the way out, hopefully you'll be all better soon.

Pink yay for wedding dress shopping! Enjoy trying on puffballs Wink

So I was going to start driving this week but unfortunately my car has been sat still so long that the battery has gone dead Angry it's been dodgy since one of the kids left the door open over night and ran it down so I'm just going to get a new one now but it does mean no driving for me this week.

Arya slept from 10 to 3:30 again last night and then until now. It's brilliant but she was also awake all day yesterday so it's hard to get anything done Confused

Trying to fix up all the bits in the flat that need sorted to rent and slowly losing my mind! Just want to be in the house now and thinking only of baby! I feel like I've had hardly any time to think about the baby and birth etc properly need more time to relax and sort my head out!!

Oh god sorry about multiple postings! Brain and app are not functioning

Nevlet · 04/10/2016 12:43

Feefs hope you get everything sorted and a chance to chill soon Smile

Well... its finally happened. Such an explosive destructive nappy change that all i could do was pick up the naked baby and run upstairs to bath him and leave the crime scene downstairs behind

AudreyBradshaw · 04/10/2016 15:57

feef haha you're right! I'd completely forgotten about his amazing egg detecting nose! Oh Lord, I'd best get that cot ordered in case he's right! That's so frustrating about your house! Morgan people seem determined to make lives more difficult! I know potato had a go talk hell of a time!

potsto I know, can you believe it!? Seems like 30 second ago we were joining the ttc thread! And then the bfp's started! And now they're actual real baby people! I think being short with a short torso hasn't helped but I must be quite big as I've had a few comments this week off complete strangers.

Awww nev your first poopocalypse! A milestone!

Doing my sisters nails tonight, I've not done acrylics for years so Lord only knows how they'll turn out! She's going to horse of the year show tomorrow and is beyond excited!

BunchOfBobs · 04/10/2016 18:24

Jabs are done SadI hated it. They do two jabs in one leg and one in the other. You start off by giving them the rotavirus drops yourself. I was under the impression the jabs were given very quickly but they waited for him to calm down between jabs. So horrid. Also they wouldn't let me feed during as he may have choked whilst upset apparently.
Warning Mamas- don't watch whilst it happens. The needle does not look nice. Atticus is well zonked now but I still feel on the verge of tears.

PotatosMum · 04/10/2016 19:42

Aww Bunch I see a lovely nurse for my blood pressure who also does jabs. She told me she hates it and hopes she doesn't have to do Arya's because they make the baby cry, that makes the mum cry and then she feels like the most evil person on the planet... I actually hope she does do them as at least then I'll know the person causing Arya pain feels really rubbish about it.

Audrey it's definitely strange to think that a lot of us have known each other for so long and gone through so much together without ever meeting. It's a bit bizar.

Feef sorting out a house move before having a baby is utter hell and you have my sympathy. On the bright side, in s few short weeks it will all be a distant memory.

Arya seems to go from one extreme to the other, yesterday she barely slept, today she's barely been awake bless her. Although we have had 3 fairy tails, tummy time, a walk and about a million renditions of old McDonald which is apparently the only nursery rime I can remember Confused
