Scan tomorrow. I'm guessing it's normal to psych yourself up for them saying something is wrong. Argh. Keep thinking they will tell me I'm not pregnant or I've had a mmc.

jpeg we are in a similar situation we got married last August, bought a new house and moved in February. Watched my best friend spend 2 years ttc. Came off the implant in May.... Then my lmp was end of June. We totally weren't expecting it to happen so quickly.

As much as I love my DH he is a crap saver. All of it saving was primarily done by me. Our maternity policy is exactly the same as yours. I'm not yet decided how long I can afford to take off. Only 6 more pay days before maternity leave could possibly start as well.... Scary.

abercorn · 12/09/2016 22:05

Luchi, thanks v m for the information on the hospital.
Niks, hang in there a little bit more, a few weeks would not make a difference and soon you can start a healthier diet once in second trimester. For me, I am back n forth between days when i am eating totally healthy and then days when i just about eat all the bad calories in one go!

Daisy111 · 12/09/2016 22:57

Sussex- good luck for tomorrow, I also have mine tomorrow. Not until 6.10, so I have all day to fret. What time is yours? I'm also worried about hearing bad news, but I'm telling myself that worrying isn't going to change the result. My symptoms have lessened in the last few days - more fuel for the worry fire!

Anyway, bedtime now, and we will find out tomorrow!

Xx

Number4OnTheWay · 12/09/2016 23:46

Mine is at 9.45. I'm not sure I could wait all day! 🙈

SussexTeacher · 13/09/2016 04:53

Mine is at 9.20, argh can't sleep! Good luck to all those with scans as well x

jpeg28 · 13/09/2016 05:58

Good luck to everyone with scans today!

naranciata · 13/09/2016 06:05

ecofreckle sympathy on the weird smell. I am also in an Airbnb in France and there's an extremely horrible smell from under the sink which actually kept me awake at night last night.

Bubbinsmakesthree · 13/09/2016 06:20

Ooh lots of scans today - hope we have a full set of happy healthy little beans!

I've got my booking in appointment today which is much less exciting or scary. 9 weeks today - 5 weeks since I found out, 3 to go until the scan. So more than half way through this purgatory.

SharkBastard · 13/09/2016 06:31

Good luck with the scans today! Let us know how you get on

jpeg28 · 13/09/2016 07:02

Hope the booking appointment goes well Bubbins.

Just got to school and had to run to throw up straight away... At the exact same time as yesterday! Luckily no one here yet otherwise I would have some explaining to do!

Keep us posted with all the scans!

JennyOfOldstones · 13/09/2016 07:37

Good luck with all the scans!

gemsbok · 13/09/2016 07:52

Good luck for all the scans today

Annilack · 13/09/2016 07:52

So many scans today. Good luck to all of you, I have a nervous wait until Friday afternoon. I can't wait for this week to be over; I can't concentrate on anything! X

MyGreenSofa · 13/09/2016 08:32

Good luck ladies with scans, hope all goes well!

Theknittinggorilla · 13/09/2016 08:37

Good luck with scans! Looking forward to starting to see lovely ultrasound pics on here! I don't even have a date for my nhs scan yet. Booking in tomorrow though so hopefully will get sorted. Have a private scan booked but still nearly two weeks away. Aargh.

MrsRhubarb · 13/09/2016 09:02

Good luck with all the scans. I'll be on maternity allowance as I don't work enough to qualify for SMP this time around. Our finances took a major adjustent after DD so I'm used to less money and we manage pretty well. We saved a tonne by getting rid of Sky, and really don't miss it. DH is always shopping round on gas and electric prices so they are always as low as can be. We have very few expenses for this baby as I saved pretty much everything from DD so just need a few new clothes and that's it. All the big purchases were done last time like the pram and moses basket she refused to use

MrsBac83 · 13/09/2016 09:23

Morning each.

Good luck for all the scans.

I'm with all those saying they can't het much healthy food in. Gimme a gigantic stuffed crust pizza with a double helping of garlic bread on the side anytime but a piece of brocolli??!! Urgh (gags!!) Usually love it.
Hopefully it will change as I can't continue on the heavy carb loading I have been. Thankfully I haven't put on any weight yet but sure that will change at this rate.
I'm 9+3 today. Scan due on 5th Oct. Luckily the day after getting back from holiday so hopefully the distraction of lounging by the pool and the all inclusive buffets will keep my mind off it for that week at least. Smile

jobrum · 13/09/2016 09:27

Ooooh, scans, exciting! I got my booking appt for next week when I'll be around ten weeks. I recognised the mideife as well, she gave me a thorough but not too painful sweep!

niks I get the same mat pay as you and took the extra 3 months plus a bit if holiday. We should have been fine for those three months but didpute me continually checking with dh, reminding him of how much pay I'd get and when from and him replying "stop worrying, we'll be fine" we ran out of money as he is useless with his own. I had to extend my overdraft and borrow from my dad... This time we will be putting more aside (both of us!) and really communicating finances, especially as we need to move so will have higher rent. I hate renting.

jobrum · 13/09/2016 09:29

Yes, no heathly food for me either. Ive been making up for the lack of veg with fruit juice and dh pointed out its very sugary. I pointed out the pints of milkshake, strawberry trifles and at least one chocolate bar a day I'm consuming!

Bellatrixandstrange · 13/09/2016 09:58

Good luck with scans for all those that have them today. So exciting! For fear of TMI ... I haven't had a poo since Thursday, anyone else similarly bunged up?

SharkBastard · 13/09/2016 10:45

I've been really regular, which has surprised me!

DH cooked roasted veg and stuffed mushrooms last night, I could've thrown it out the window...I just wanted stuffed pasta with lashings of sauce, cheese and garlic bread. He's really trying to help me but it's actually annoying me.

I've been eating Pot Noodles and Mug Shots cause they are what I can stomach, I asked him to grab me a bundle so that I have them to hand and he bought me Bachelor noodle boxes which are '70% less fat than pot noodle'...THAT'S NOT WHAT I WANT! So I've bought a load and they're in my drawer at work ready to be eaten! I need to eat crap...

No scan date for me yet, awaiting the letter. Got to have bloods done too at some point!

Good luck!

SussexTeacher · 13/09/2016 11:05

Can't write much as just getting back to work, but scan all went great! So relieved

April 2017 #3 - looking forward to first scans and the second trimester!
SharkBastard · 13/09/2016 11:17

Wow, what a lovely clear scan!

Congratulations!!!!

Hayls17 · 13/09/2016 11:19

Good luck to all the ladies having scans today!

sarahhh1984 · 13/09/2016 11:20

Congrats on the great scan, Sussex. I have about 4 weeks until mine so I can't wait.

Good luck for all the other scans today too.

I've been lurking rather than posting for a bit as I've been really struggling with fatigue. I'm mostly sleeping well at night but then I wake up in the morning feeling so tired you'd think it was bedtime all over again. I'm thankful I haven't had severe sickness (just some nausea) but the fatigue is really hitting me hard. Especially as I'm self-employed so I have to be able to motivate myself to work but lately it's a real struggle. Sad Any tips would be appreciated if anyone has any.
