Good luck today jpeg

everdene · 04/09/2016 08:48

Keeping everything crossed for you jpeg*

I had the worst day so far on Friday - absolutely shattered and felt horrendous. Luckily it cleared a bit yesterday and I feel fine today.

My boobs are like ROCKS, I've gone up to a GG cup and I'm only 5'2 so I look ridiculous!

Yesterday evening I just snuggled up on my bed and watched two films on Netflix - I've never in my life done that but I do feel better today!

LuchiMangsho · 04/09/2016 10:32

Good luck jpeg. Will be thinking of you.
I have a scan in 20 mins. Doing my usual doom and gloom thing. God, I am cheerful.

jpeg28 · 04/09/2016 10:37

Good luck luchi... I'm sure it will be absolutely fine!

LuchiMangsho · 04/09/2016 10:56

Waiting at the clinic. Couple before me have gone in wearing what I can only describe as an Indian wedding outfit (I am also Indian so not being racist!). Gold jewellery, really elaborate outfit for a Sunday morning ultrasound. I am Shock

SharkBastard · 04/09/2016 11:04

Ooo got dolled up for the scan!

Good luck with the scan, let us know how you get on!

Helbelle75 · 04/09/2016 11:10

Good luck with the scans lovely ladies. I'm thinking of going for a private one this week to put my mind at rest. There is nothing wrong, no bleeding etc but after last time I just want to see a little heartbeat.
I went to the funeral and very pleased I did. There were a few of us went so it was nice to support each other and to catch up. The service was lovely, although it all felt incredibly surreal - you just don't expect to say goodbye to someone who is only 39.
Puts things very much into perspective about what's important.

MrsBac83 · 04/09/2016 11:45

Hello all.
Can I join the gang please? I'm 8+1 today, estimated due date 15th April. This is my first. Have booking in appointment on Tuesday.
Touch wood haven't been sick really yet, felt fairly nauseous at times but worse when I'm hungry. Only thing is I seem to be starving all the time! Anyone else like that?

Hayls17 · 04/09/2016 11:46

Good luck to all the ladies having their scans today! I'm also thinking about going for a private scan, nothing has gone wrong but I can't stop worrying, I'm hoping it will put my mind at rest. I still have 4 weeks to go till my nhs scan it feels like forever!

marmitecheesetoast · 04/09/2016 11:46

Thanks ChatEnOeuf I will check that out! I'm guessing it's too much to hope that there are any vaguely decent NA wines out there... I imagine they will all just taste like Schloer! Hmm

I had a bad night last night. Got up for a wee and I was careful not to get up too quickly as usual, felt fine but I got halfway down the landing and got very hot and lightheaded shouted for DH. I fainted and fell on the floor before he got there, totally blacked out it was really scary. Even scarier was that it was right at the top of our ridiculously steep Victorian terrace stairs, pretty dodgy... I will mention to MW at booking in on Tuesday as I think maybe I could be a bit anaemic. Still feeling quite washed out/weak this morning.

I am also struggling with the bloat. Start the day relatively normal but by the end of the day I have a little pot belly and have to undo my jeans. I was thinking of buying something like this www.jojomamanbebe.co.uk/multi-use-belly-band-a9117.html to tide me over for a while before I start to buy maternity clothes.

puggle my tummy has been rather dodge the last few days, it's not nice but probably later in pregnancy when we're all constipated we'll wonder what the problem was!

Greensofa hope you and DH have sorted things out and speaking now?

Hope scan goes well today jpeg and anyone else with scans.

marmitecheesetoast · 04/09/2016 11:49

Welcome MrsBac I am at very similar stage to you, 8 weeks today and due on 16th April with my first. Also have my booking in on Tuesday!
I am also starving all the time - eating regularly really helps me deal with the nausea, it gets a lot worse when I haven't eaten anything for an hour too long

Helbelle75 · 04/09/2016 11:50

Hello and welcome MrsBac I'm 8+1 today and due the same day as you.

MumiTravels · 04/09/2016 12:21

Welcome Mrs Bac Brew

@Marmite - I fainted alot with DS1 I was anaemic the whole way through, I couldn't tolerate ferrous fumerate though so got Spatone from Boots. I was very sensitive to coming from somewhere warm out into the cold too. That made me faint too. I fainted as our plane left the runway at 26 weeks, it was very embarrassing.

I had a crap night but not baby related. I live in town and two groups of teenagers congregated outside our house for hours talking really loud well shouting and beings daft. Didn't have the guts to ask them to move on.

I'm going out for Sunday lunch soon Grin. I've got a really craving for fried bread for some reason. I never eat fried bread.

I'm feeling pretty energetic still. Pottered around the house this morning. Just got upstairs left to do. I'm hoping the tiredness has just skipped me.

LuchiMangsho · 04/09/2016 12:22

I had the MOST WTAF scan.
Good news: baby with heartbeat measuring 8+5 (I would have been 8+2).
Now: the ovarian cyst has grown to 6 cm from 5 cm. So hmm.
And this lady (not the same one who scanned me before) thinks that I have a second fetus without a heart beat. Measuring 8+1.
Huh? I had a scan at 6+4 and of course there was a singleton pregnancy. She didn't find this second fetus for a long time and then rooting around she said oh I see something, I don't know what it is, my best guess is that it is a second fetus but it is 'gone'. She was a non native speaker of English and her manner of speaking was really odd. She asked me if I was relieved that the twin was 'gone'. Luckily I spoke her mother tongue so resorted to speaking to her in that...

jpeg28 · 04/09/2016 12:36

Oh Luchi how confusing for you. Was she sure the second baby was 'gone'? If there was a heartbeat could it not just be a few days behind? I'm really really sorry if that is the case and you lost a twin. It must be so confusing as its great about the 8+5 baby doing well but also sad and upsetting about the other one. Will you get another scan soon to see what's actually happening? Thinking of you Flowers

LuchiMangsho · 04/09/2016 12:40

My sister is a ob/gyn but on the other side of the country. I hadn't told her so far because she gets far too hyper/worried. But I called her. She told me to chill out and basically said that I need to go to the GP tomorrow and persuade him to call the EPU for a scan. She said, you can come to my hospital for a scan but I don't have the time to travel to North Wales right now!!
But she said, don't panic. You just need to wait and watch.

ChatEnOeuf · 04/09/2016 12:45

Oh gosh Luchi that must have been a shock. A second fetus is difficult to spot sometimes - a friend only found out about hers at 14w, it was her third scan!

Marmite that should horrid. I'm lightheaded quite frequently but not fainting thank goodness. There are no good NA wines. None at all.

Glad you were able to get to the funeral, Hel

jpeg28 · 04/09/2016 12:50

Least you have someone to get advice from Luchi I hope your GP gets you referred to the EPU so you can find out what's happening.

I have had such a nightmare morning, had a huge row with OH which started about washing and then he called me a psycho which made me turn into a psycho! He said if I didn't stop stressing out I would lose the baby and that sent me into such a rage. I stormed out and I've come to the scan alone. He is now angry at me for coming without him. He assumed I would go back for him but I didn't. I should have just gone and got him but I was so mad. Now I'm sat here on my own and he is angry at me!! Not sure how it turned around on me... Not what I needed today!

MyGreenSofa · 04/09/2016 13:00

Oh jpeg that's rubbish. It's totally not your fault either. His role should be to be there to support you and do what you need. Right now you don't need to be worrying about upsetting him. He made very spiteful comments too! Good luck for your scan, I'm hoping to hear good news from you!

DH and I are still not really talking. So he's spoiled the whole weekend by sulking Hmm. I've done nothing wrong and so I'm not going to apologise!

Marmite - there's nothing wrong with a bit of shloer! Wink but you are right, wine it is not.

Luchi - how confusing for you. I never knew finding a second fetus could be such a grey area. Hope you get answers soon!

LuchiMangsho · 04/09/2016 13:33

Fingers crossed jpeg. I find that we often argue a lot in pregnancy. We don't argue much but I get touchy and he gets extremely anxious and it is all a mess.

jpeg28 · 04/09/2016 13:39

Well after all the drama this morning I have good news! Baby measuring 7+4 with heartbeat was seen on the scan. Sonographer said baby looks good etc etc. She said the bleeding can be completely normal and nothing to worry about. I feel so relieved. Got some pictures to take home to my grumpy OH!

LuchiMangsho · 04/09/2016 13:43

Yay.

hummingbird100 · 04/09/2016 13:58

jpeg that's brilliant!! You've had a few days of worry which must have been awful, glad you've got such wonderful news!

jobrum · 04/09/2016 14:00

Great news jpeg!

TMI Alert! I just had a really big string of
thick mucus when I went to the loo. It was yellowy and really big and gloopy. I'm around eight weeks and this was so different to the usual icky discharge. I'm normally not a worrier! Does anyone have anythibg reassuring to tell me? I'm wondering if I might have a slight yeast infection so it could be related to that?

LuchiMangsho · 04/09/2016 14:11

I thought big yellow gloop was normal for pregnancy? It gets particularly gross in the second trimester if I remember correctly.
