I don't know what I'm doing but seen the message saying another thread was needed. I don't know what to add to this but though.

Erm. I'm Derek btw. 35 week on Thursday and due 6/10/16

Sorry but I have no idea what I'm doing 😂

You fold your socks?

LillianFullStop · 10/10/2016 22:09

Not quite fold - but I roll them up into pairs!

glad your section recovery is going well taffeta - hope you get to go home soon!

Afreshstartplease · 11/10/2016 07:57

Well my cramps came back about 2am and kept me awake til 5, rotating from back to front. I woke at half six with nothing. Now have constant low ache in stomach ...

Figgygal · 11/10/2016 08:34

My body is falling apart I am now 41 weeks my hips hurt my left shoulder blade and left arm hurt I must be sleeping funny I went to the loo six times last night . Woke up this morning all wet down below thinking my waters are broken but I was just sweaty am so fat I feel awful about my diet over the last few months it's all my own fault . I am walking like a cowboy today because my leg hurts the longer this is going on the more time I have to worry about her big this baby is going to be and starting to stress out about the birth too which I have never done before. Ive completely forgotten all of my Daisy birthing techniques that was a good use of 140 quid Must read all the emails the teacher sent me and remind myself.

Mw tomorrow for a sweep which I have no expectation will work might have a total breakdown in there and see if she can try and convince them to induce me sooner than Sunday. Saturday will be very strange it will be their last day the three of us will have to take DS out somewhere If I am still capable of moving by then

Dizzy08 · 11/10/2016 08:36

40+3
I had a pain like period pain throughout the night but not what I imagine a true contraction would be like... and even though I've got a sweep again today have started to reside myself to the fact baby will come on one of the following dates for the reasons below... but which one?!

13th (40+5) - my mums birthday
15th (40+7) - my sisters birthday
16th (40+8) - my birthday is the 16th of sept and DH is the 16th of Nov so this would be right in the middle.

Any thoughts?.. obviously I'm hoping not and that he comes today after the sweep but I doubt it now! We are also having our driveway paved starting on the 17th when they will need to dig through the garage putting my washing machine out of action... so I guess any of these dates are going to make that very complicated interesting!!

Dizzy08 · 11/10/2016 08:45

Oh figgy! Sad I know how you feel. I come from a family of big babies (over 9lb) and it makes me nervous that the longer it goes on that's where I'm heading...
40 weeks should be enough right? I mean it's not a giraffe.. although my DH is 6ft5 Hmm

Afreshstartplease · 11/10/2016 08:58

Sorry to hear all are feeling so rubbish

I still have period ache but coming and going now

I have a growth scan and mw today. I am hoping for some bizarre reason they examine me and are like oh wow your 7cm let's break your waters. However I think I am dreaming here.

38+6 many sympathies to those who are overdue. My pelvis is fucked. I'm very petite and make big babies , I feel like it could just crumble under the weight

Figgygal · 11/10/2016 09:12

Ds was 9lb 4 at 40+13 this one will be the same if not bigger and how if he is engaged (which he has been for last 3 appts) am I still being kicked in the boobs it's the longest baby in the world clearly!!!

Have had bloody enough want to get on with it now!!!

Fraggleface · 11/10/2016 09:43

Figgy, I'm feeling your pain. Also 41 weeks today. Growth scan last Friday reckoned baby was 8lb7. I'm only little too so a bit scared she could be biggish. Mw and another sweep today. Also think I'm going to ask if I can be induced sooner rather than later.

Figgygal · 11/10/2016 10:13

Had an email from babycentre today all about my one week old Angry

NovemberInDailyFailLand · 11/10/2016 10:24

Taffeta - I'm glad you're feeling great! I will have to have a section this week because of baby size and I was really scared.

TaffetaMuttonfudge · 11/10/2016 10:32

November honestly an elective is such a calm experience (was for me anyway in contrast to DS1's emergency section), and they really look after you so well. I'm going home soon, a little after 24 hours after having the op, and apart from a bit of pain from the wound I feel great. Good luck. Smile

Fraggleface · 11/10/2016 10:36

And congrats taffeta and derek!

LillianFullStop · 11/10/2016 10:52

oh no figgy that sounds rough! Hope your sweep tomorrow does the trick Flowers

I like the sound of the 16th for you dizzy - then you'll all be a month apart Smile if LO comes late in the evening on the 16th maybe by the time you're discharged to go home the washing machine will be back in action!

hope they have good news on your growth scan today fresh - or at least give you a sweep while you are there!

I have a sweep booked for Monday at 39+1 and I don't much like the sound of it so I'm hoping this baby will self evict before then! no period cramps at all today though - boring! Confused

Tallblue · 11/10/2016 12:45

Congrats Taffeta, that sounds like a positive birth experience, glad you're recovering well.

39 weeks and dodgy tummy returned today, currently waiting for my weekly antenatal doctor appointment. Think I'll be offered a sweep but not sure whether to accept. With the tummy thing I'm finding it hard to distinguish between stomach cramps and what could be contractions. I'm also feeling very teary, no idea why but hoping I don't randomly start crying during my appointment!

fresh I'm having the same daydream of being examined and magically found to be several cm dilated- although not too many, I need time to get an epidural this time around Smile

Dizzy08 · 11/10/2016 21:46

2nd sweep today

The positives are that it was not painful at all.. but it was a different midwife, but the down side is nothing seems to have changed from last week.

Induction provisionally booked for 20th but got to go see the doctor about my hips tomorrow so they might change their mind and make it earlier..but means I can't go to hydro tomorrow :(

LillianFullStop · 11/10/2016 22:36

Hope appt went well tall and you didn't end up crying Confused

Had a hot curry for dinner tonight - will anything work??

Afreshstartplease · 12/10/2016 08:08

I went into labor the morning after a hot curry with DC3 but it hasn't worked this time

Scan went well. Baby average size. Head is well down could barely see the face.

No cramps etc last night

39 weeks today

LillianFullStop · 12/10/2016 09:38

Cramps last night and this morning... but now nothing again.

Noticed increased watery discharge though - not the usual thicker opaque - but clearer and woke up with underwear feeling damp even with a pantyliner. Early sign I wonder?

Kariana · 12/10/2016 09:47

My little boy was born Monday at 1.40pm after a long wait on the ward. He's 6lb 9oz and gorgeous but I never want a c section again! The actual operation was fine despite my panic about it but the pain now isn't great. I'm not sure if this is normal or me being a wimp though.

Congratulation Taffeta and Derek as well! Taffeta how are you feeling after your CS? Are you breastfeeding? We came home yesterday but I think an extra day on the ward might have been helpful.

Afreshstartplease · 12/10/2016 09:52

Yay Kariana congratulations Flowers

Lillian I hate to break it to you but I've had increased discharge for a while now Sad

Just had a bit of cramp. Sure it'll be nothing though again

DerekSprechenZeDick · 12/10/2016 10:02

Congratulations!

Monday is a popular day!

Congratulations kariana! Hope you recover soon from CS. Did they give you stronger painkillers to take home or you are having to manage on paracetamol? Could you ask GP for something stronger?

Must be tough trying to recover on top of caring for a newborn!

Afreshstartplease · 12/10/2016 10:08

How is the little one Derek?

LillianFullStop · 12/10/2016 10:10

Oh well just another symptom that gets me worked up for no good reason! Confused this waiting is getting tiresome.. 38+3 today
