Behold, the wonder of birth! Members from 6 weeks bfp to post-partum wonder Mamas! No question to grotty or minging.

We've come full circle from obsessing about cervical mucus to now obsessing if it's our vagina baby plug going! What larks!

Lots of talk about poo, ours and now babies too! Baby brain is REAL! This heat can kiss my arse. And who KNEW being so neurotic about which changing mat to buy could be so satisfying and addictive!

Roll up literally, in my case, cause I'm practically rotund! for TTC #1 Grads!

Well done team mums! You're all doing amazing Smile

Marmite I can imagine how awful it is to have the scan delayed even if only by a couple of days - we really build ourselves up for them.

Audrey - good news / sorry to hear that Wink

Pink - I know! 3 more days! Grin I'm booked in for a sweep at 40 weeks too. I really don't want to be induced - because of my BP issues I'll be induced as an in-patient so will do almost anything to avoid it! As soon as this week is over I'll be getting on the raspberry leaf tea and everything else!

So I tried perineum massage tonight. Not sure what to think of it but I'll carry on and see how it goes. It at least helps me to feel a bit more in control and like I'm doing something that may help.

I've been really farty recently! I was bad at start of pregnancy but bad again now! I've been waking DH in the night farting! He says he thought the bed was going to take off last night! Blush And tonight when I was leaving work I got in the lift, nobody there, let out a real awful one and pressed the button down and then someone dashed in just at the last minute! Had a very uncomfortable smelly journey to ground floor. The shame BlushBlushBlushBlush

Congratulations, Shelb!

Please can you all cross your fingers and pray that Theodore stays below the jaundice level at his next blood test at 4 AM and we can be discharged tomorrow? He is being bottle fed expressed breast milk for now so we can prove he's getting his requirements (and he falls asleep at the breast easily!) but isn't quite having as much as they would like him to have. Plenty of wet and dirty nappies so I am hoping it's enough. His weight loss was fine when he got weighed - down to 5lbs 7oz from 5lbs 13oz - and we're getting there with his three hourly feeds.

Leonie fx for you and little Theo

I'm sure you'll be home soon

Pinklily1 · 30/08/2016 21:20

Fingers crossed Leonie! He's adorable.

Thanks for the info Bunch. I'm usually ok with smears so hoping it won't be too bad. Does it take long to do?

AudreyBradshaw · 30/08/2016 21:24

leonie he is absolutely beautiful, what a little corker! Positive thoughts and prayers for you both!

Excellent news on being discharged bunch mum milestones indeed! I love it!

potato Arya IS a princess! Star 👑

How are you feeling miley ? marmite it's a nightmare, we work ourselves up mentally to hafe/do something and when it changes it's awful!

Oh Leonie, that's such a lovely picture! He's so adorable with beautiful big eyes

Soda - is the fartiness a good sign? Does it mean you're getting closer?

So glad you've been discharged, Bunch! How is Atticus feeling about everything?

I've been very breathless and heartburny this last week, it's horrible (obviously minor though, compared to what some of you are going through). I think the baby is just so high up (and we know it's tall, so stretching out well into my rib cage), and I'm finding I get really blocked up when I lie down and I can't get a good breath in. And the heartburn comes on all the time.

Only just over 35 weeks, so guess it could be a way to go before the bump drops!

PotatosMum · 30/08/2016 22:35

New yay for growing baby Smile

Bunch lol at the being sicked on milestone... Just wait, soon you'll hit the pooped on milestone, that one's fun! Wink

Soda I was induced and it wasn't that bad. Worse part was the cannula as they use a huge gauge! They didn't actually need it in the end though as once they broke my waters everything went crazy.

Leonie fingers crossed you and Theo can go home. He is looking adorable!

We took Arya out in her pram for the first time today. She loved it! Went right to sleep and stayed that way for ages! When she is awake she's got lovely big eyes now and is starting to look around Smile

IndiX · 31/08/2016 03:31

Anyone else in the wide-awake club?

I have really painful hips and lower back atm, my bed at my mum's isn't helping as it gives no support so I'm getting really sharp pains down my left side when I turn or roll overSad also hating the fact that I feel so pregnant, I think I've tried so hard to feel/act 'normal' for as long as possible in this pregnancy that it's making me feel a bit fed up that I'm now feeling so pregnant and uncomfy and I hate moaning about it to DH and family of course I can always have a whinge on here. 34 weeks today and just over 5 weeks until my ELCS..so not too long to go.

Leonie Theo is just adorable, hope everything went well with his tests and monitoring, sending lots of love and positive vibes.

Good luck for your sweep pink let's hope it gets things started for you!

Sorry about your DH's job loss Audrey, but it sounds like a good thing for you both so hopefully he'll find something better soon!

Yay for being discharged bunch! Also great work from your boobs and new's boobs too!!Grin

Nevlet · 31/08/2016 03:37

Hi girls! Have been reading the thread over the last month but wasn't in a good head space to post really as felt like everything was going wrong right at the last month and didn't want to moan!

Huge congratulations new, leonie and shelb on the safe arrival of your little ones.

BabyNevlet arrived yesterday afternoon after a very unexpected spontaneous start to labour. Wont go into details but ended up on high risk unit strapped up to machines feet in stirrups pushing out a 9 and a half pounder with no pain relief! Jesus! Unfortunately had large PPH and lost over 2l but have avoided a blood transfusion. Its 3.30 am havent slept since the weekend but I cant take myself away from sat staring at him!!

Hope to keep up a bit more with the thread but am thinking of you all SmileFlowers

IndiX · 31/08/2016 04:05

Wow! Congratulations Nev! We have so many thread babies now!

Pinklily1 · 31/08/2016 08:07

Congratulations Nev! Sounds like he was a big baby Shock I hope you are all doing well.

Mileymoocow · 31/08/2016 08:48

Oh my goodness leonie what an absolute diamond he is! What a beautiful little boy ❤ fingers crossed you can bring him home today!

nev congratulations and bloody well done superwoman!!! Flowers what lovely news.

audrey I'm doing alright thanks - no complaints other than my back pain and constant need to wee. My fandango is a bit stingy today so am expecting a bout of cystitis. Midwife appointment this afternoon though! Hope you're doing well Grin

pink I bloody hope the sweep works for you! Baby pink is cosy up in there - obviously doesn't realise mummy is desperate to meet her!

indi I feel like I could have written most of your post too! I'm so uncomfortably large now and it's getting exhausting! Not long to wait for either of us and hopefully it'll all be a distant memory. Though I take great pleasure in reminding OH that he did this to me so he must get me a glass of milk/biscuits/chocolate instantly Grin

Only 12 more getty-ups til maternity leave...

PotatosMum · 31/08/2016 08:55

Mums, out of curiosity are any of you sweating buckets? I just can't stop.

First health visitor appointment post birth today. Arya had an awful night, she obviously had very painful wind and when I did put her down she was spectacularly sick, poor little button Sad on the bright side her poop was the right consistency this morning. Peanut butter instead of play dough... Yup, life doesn't get any more glamorous once the baby's born Wink

HepKestrel · 31/08/2016 09:19

i think it was drink who was asking about the booking appointment?

Sodasoda · 31/08/2016 09:29

Congratulations nev! Lovely news !

Leonie sending lots of positive thoughts your way. Hoping you get to take your gorgeous little boy home today.

Lisa I'm not sure Shock I don't think baby has dropped yet though so probably still a way off for me - I'm getting more similar symptoms to you like breathlessness.

Pink hope the sweep is successful! Would be interested to know what it's like if you don't mind sharing.

I'm so fed up with my maternity clothes! Urgh! Especially my work clothes so not long to go in those at least! I tried to get my work maternity trousers on today and they wouldn't go over my bum! Sad So I'm wearing jeans. I figured - what are work going to say to me?!

Pinklily1 · 31/08/2016 09:33

Soda, i'm more than happy to share! Its not until this afternoon, but I will let you know what they do and what its like.

I had bad period pains through the night, and pains on either side of my bump, so I was convinced things were starting, but then nothing has happened this morning. This sweep better work!!

Mileymoocow · 31/08/2016 10:21

Ladies how did you manage to get through the final 5 weeks? Jesus this is dragging so much! Also, mums, speaking of Bounty pests women - did any of you buy the photos?! My cousin did as she felt so vulnerable. They literally barged into her room when she was sleeping and asked her to fill out a form with hers and baby's details.

soda I've been living on leggings and long tops for months now - I couldn't give a shit what work think as long as I'm comfortable and cool. I have jeans for special occasions but they're just not as accommodating.

Oh potato Sad plenty snuggles for her today. Her poor little tummy!

pink are you 3 days over now? Worst case you get to meet baby in 4 days though Grin (if I remember rightly!)

Are any of you 34+ week ladies doing the raspberry leaf tea and dates thing?
