May 2017 - anybody out there?

Hi

I just found out at the weekend that I'm pregnant, this will be no. 2. Had no idea how far gone I was as I had just had AF 7th Aug but after a very early scan this morning it looks like I've conceived since then...very surprised as HPT is seriously strong and I got 5 +ve OPK's last week which by the scan I would have only just conceived at that point.

Very much a waiting game at the moment and back in 2 weeks for another scan. If I am indeed only 3 weeks then I have pretty much the same due date as I had for my DD Grin only 1 year apart. Let the crazy times commence!

Anyone else this early in pregnancy and due in May 2017?

Sorry Gurtie. I just read your posts. What a stressful time for you. This did happen to my cousin and after a couple weeks the baby was there. It's just so early. Flowers

wellwellwellwell · 16/09/2016 21:07

Gurtie - I've been lurking but felt I had to respond with a little reassurance.

I had a scan at 6 weeks (from LMP) a few years ago because I had an ectopic pregnancy a few months earlier. I was hoping to see the heartbeat but like you they saw gestational sac and yolk sac but no embryo. Obviously it was good to know it was not another ectopic but I was gutted. Especially with "unknown viability" recorded on the scan report.

All was well at the 12 week scan and they moved my EDD back a day which would put me at 6w+1 when I had the earlier scan.

Peasy1 · 16/09/2016 21:10

Sorry to hear that MMM

Got my scan appt today for when we're on holiday which is typical. They've changed it but wouldn't see me before 11+6 so it's now re-booked for 13+3 which feels quite late. Found out they offer private scans for £60 so think we'll book that for when I'm about 10 weeks. We're on holiday with friends and I have a hen do both before my scan. I won't be able to hide it to any of them so want to know things are ok before that

trinityrabbit · 16/09/2016 22:06

Symptoms totally gone today :-( no nausea, nothing. I tried yo stop in and get a couple more tests to see if they'd br darker a week after first test but the shop had run out! Trying to take it as a sign to relax Hmm

Can't do the paste thingy on my phone if anyone could add me too, I'm #1 edd 20th May..making us 6 people due the same day..was def a good bank holiday! Grin

FeelingBlessed77 · 17/09/2016 11:24

Hello ladies. Just thought I'd introduce myself. I've just had my bfp last week. This will be dc2. Feeling very tired and have a massive headache today. Still wondering whether to tell my mum or to wait until scan.

Sonnet18 · 17/09/2016 13:38

Welcome blessed.
Well I took my clearblue digi and I got my 3+ so I'm feeling quite content with that. I think I'm 6 weeks today but I got my bfp at only 10 dpo so I may actually be a little less than that. Ugh, I hate not knowing! Roll on the dating scan!

Northernexile · 17/09/2016 18:24

Hi blessed, congratulations! Hope everyone who is worried gets some reassurance soon. Gurtie I had a scan at 6+6 with DD1 and she was about 6mm. They said a couple of days earlier and they wouldn't have been able to see anything, so it really is early days.

For whoever was asking about a comfy bra for sleeping, I can thoroughly recommend this, it's more of a crop top: www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B008YE1QLG/ref=mp_s_a_1_fkmr1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1474132928&sr=8-2-fkmr1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=sarah+jane+bra (sorry can't do links on my phone!). Have two now and wear them in bed even when not pregnant as they're sooo comfy.

talulahbelle · 17/09/2016 19:21

Silly question (maybe) do you still have hot baths?
I'm currently sitting in one that is not hot enough to turn me my customary shade of red, and it's not deep enough to cover my belly either. Unnecessary paranoia?!

teainbed · 17/09/2016 19:47

No not hot hot. Non pregnant I would have them scalding and come out like a lobster but when pregnant especially early days I wouldn't have them hot. I'm not sure that's evidence based just a personal preference.

Mustbecrazy123 · 17/09/2016 19:53

Hi everyone! Tentatively joining after lurking awhile wondering whether to post because I'm not actually sure of my dates! I'm thinking late April early may. I can't remember exactly when my last period was I used to keep track on my phone but my phone broke.

Already have DS who is 20 months and BF although my milk has dried up so dry feeding him. This pregnancy has been terrible in comparison with constant sickness and exhaustion, only just starting to feel slightly normal and poor DS is suffering with less play and more cartoons bless him but starting to feel more myself lately. Booking in appt next Friday!

Sorry to all the little beans who didn't stick Flowers

Sonnet18 · 17/09/2016 20:15

I had hot baths all last pregnancy (as in turned myself lobster like!) and it was fine. Do what you feel comfortable doing!

4sacharm · 17/09/2016 21:26

Sonnet 18, we are due on the same date by lmp, I took a cb today and was reassured that it said 2-3 weeks. I think I ovulated late, nearly a week, so 2-3 weeks fits for me. It is reassuring to see progression.
Welcome to all the new folk, I have had pain in my womb area, I hope it is just everything stretching and expanding as a baby makes itself at home but I never noticed this with other three pregnancies.

4sacharm · 17/09/2016 21:28

Gurtie I agree with the others it just too early, hope you see a wee heart beat at your next scan,

Sonnet18 · 18/09/2016 07:24

charm I ovulated late too- on day 21...so I actually think my due date may be a little later than the 13th.That's good you saw progression with the clearblue. It's silly that we need these to reassure ourselves, but it does make you feel happier! When is your booking appointment? Mine is on Friday- I'll only be 7 weeks which seems a bit early!

SunnyInMay · 18/09/2016 07:26

Gurtie unless you know exactly when you ovulated it's quite common to be a week or more either way so I would try not to panic. I know it's hard but I have friends who have been in the same situation and when they went back two weeks later saw the heart beating away.

Yesterday I had lots of nausea and sore boobs. Annoying as it is I find it quite reassuring in a way. Some mild cramps this morning but hopefully it's just stretching and nothing more.

FoxMulder · 18/09/2016 08:15

I also must have ov'd late. I only dtd once on cd 20. I never thought I would get pg. What an idiot! It was only my second af since having ds 2.5 years ago so maybe they were still settling down.

Got a 3+ on a cb digi this morning. Think I will tell my folks when they come for a visit later. I hate keeping secrets.

ArtOfKnit · 18/09/2016 08:27

Hi guys, do you mind if I join in? This will be my first baby, and DH and I are a little shocked as this has happened cycle 1 post pill! App is saying I'm due on the 23rd May, but I suspect it will be more like the 26th-27th going by our ddt dates. I am a little terrified and have no idea what to do next, so would be great to chat to some people in the same boat!! I'm taking vitamins and going to see the dr tomorrow morning.

PeachIcedT · 18/09/2016 08:29

Hello everyone! I'm also coming out from lurking to tentatively post about my BFP. ClearBlue this morning tells me am 3+ so I guess that confirms the Sainsburys test I did on Thursday.

First pregnancy for me so don't really know what to expect but I have just got back from holiday where I ate practically only very mouldy blue cheese and lots of wine...

Did not expect to be pregnant as I have PCOS (and convinced myself was having a longer cycle this month), husband is on hormone injections for low T, and somehow it happened on month 2 - for which I am exceptionally surprised by.

Because of erratic periods I am due somewhere between 17th and 23rd May, although it doesn't yet seem real. I hope the scan makes it feel real!

Sonnet18 · 18/09/2016 08:35

fox that's great you're telling people today! How exciting. What's your due date? We still haven't told anyone!

Welcome to new people and congrats!

LillyBugg · 18/09/2016 08:45

Morning all, I'd like to join in too please! Due DC2 on 23rd May. I used ovulation dates rather than AF as my cycles were all over the place. Can't believe some of you have scans etc booked in already, I haven't even made my booking in appointment.

I have zero symptoms, but not too worried as I remember from last time how awful I felt and the longer I avoid that the better lol.

I never used the ante natal thread for my DS but the post natal one is still alive and well so I'm hoping to stick with you all for a long time to come Smile

SunnyInMay · 18/09/2016 08:50

fox I think that's the best way, just get it out in the open. If you would let them know if something went wrong, heaven forbid, then no point waiting about.

Having said that, I've chickened out of telling my parents so far! Will probably tell them in a couple of weeks once I've got used to the idea myself.

Ours was also a bit unexpected. I had DC2 in March last year but since then have been having periods every 14 days and getting negative ovulation tests for the last year. When I didn't start bleeding after 14 days last month I started using clearblue digital ovulation tests which were still negative. It was just wishful thinking on my behalf when I took a pregnancy test so couldn't believe my eyes when the line came up!

FoxMulder · 18/09/2016 09:14

sonnet edd of May 15th going on lmp but maybe a week later going on conception date!

That's it sunny I would tell them if I mc so figure I might as well tell. I had a very early mc once and I hadn't told them I was pg yet but found I wanted to talk to mum about it. I don't see them very often so it would be nice to tell in person.

FoxMulder · 18/09/2016 09:16

Oh and congratulations and welcome new guys!

Damson9 · 18/09/2016 09:33

Morning ladies, mind if I tag along?

I'm 7+2 today with an EDD of 5 May, and still waiting for my booking appointment. I used to think that the TWW was painful (we had been TTC#1 for 17 months and were just about to book our first cycle of IVF - I'm 35) but this crawl toward the first scan is taking forever!

Im knackered the whole time, yet I've never had so much sleep! I'm not doing too bad nausea-wise, though - my mum was so sick she couldn't get out of bed without throwing up/passing out, so I was worried I'd have that to look forward to - I haven't actually been sick (although there have been some other delightful digestive fireworks! TMI!) but I tend to have two or three periods a day when I think I'm going to be. I have an hour and a half's commute to get to work, so that's not been going so well...

ginandcake · 18/09/2016 11:19

Welcome to all the new ladies and congratulations

Got back from holiday late last night and exhausted today. Need to get ready for tomorrow but really cannot be bothered! DH is talking about dragging us out for some fresh air which probably is a good idea although would rather spend the day on the sofa!

Don't worry Lilly I am 7+3 and still haven't had a booking appointment or seen my GP! Blush
