GMM - email me your address and i'll get a copy on its way to you. the 2nd part of it - you are meant to do as a couple "loving your baby". me and frase gave it a go last night but ended up giggling like kids cause we couldnt get into it. even at that - worth a go cause our mood was great for the rest of the night. even the bump got in on the act and jumped around for a while!

Hope you are okay Ellie, sorry you hit a tumbleweed moment on MN when you needed to chat. Sending you lots of hugs.

10.5 weeks...have replied to you x

GMM - don't get too excited about it being warm!! Have you been to Barcelona before? I've only been once but I loved it. How long will you be there for? I would love to get away for a weekend or something...dreams, dreams...

geordiemacminx · 01/02/2007 09:16

Ta babes... will email it now.

Bronzed bump??? Are you joking??? Its as cold in Bara as it is here at the moment... which is a bit of pain cos I have no warm coats that fit and am hating all shoes at the moment... need some that are comfortable, look nice, that wont make my feet burn and also have a heel... ha

Having said that, I just checked the weather and its between 13 and 16 at the moment... which makes it worse cos I'll be hot and uncomfortable!!

Not long til the 13th really..glad you got the family coming over!!

geordiemacminx · 01/02/2007 09:25

Maveta... Dont worry.. have sussed out I'm not gonna get much bronzing done... although knowing my luck I'll pack all my winter warms and it'll be a heat wave!!

Glad the classes went well weeonion gold stars for dp

Gmm, barecelona sounds fab, bit of a step up from my bathgate trip -lol. I got some really comfy boots out of next that did me proud on our trip. Slight heel and lovely and soft.

SOSLP How are you doing today, did you get some rest?

11 weeks, to your sleep troubles.

eca · 01/02/2007 09:36

morning lovies

Ellie - are you ok? Hope you are.

Maim - thanks for reply about sis, that helped. Sorry to hear you're having such a crappy time with neighbour. Like everyone has already said, sounds like all you can do is back off and understand it's not you it's just a horrible upset your neighbour has got herself into. And you mentioned it's probably more than regular grieving process, you're probably right and that just means it's even more complicated and going to take even longer (possibly with even more random posts online) before she's worked it through.

Tilli - hope you are ok too hon.

GMM - very at your hol. I'm fantasising about going away for a spa w-end with dh before bambino arrives. Don't think our budget will allow though!

WO - thanks for the offer of cd copy! Yes please! Will e-mail you.

Maveta at your midwife! She's terrible!! Poor you!

Sure there was lots else, hello to everyone i've missed out!

Has anyone else had really painful kicks? Yesterday I was trawling the streets at work and baby kicked so hard I yelped out and doubled up. The guy I'm working with nearly fainted (he's already told me his worst fear is me going into labour while with him!). Not had a kick that hurt so much before. Is it normal/just coz getting bigger now??

weeonion · 01/02/2007 09:41

eca - u get those thermals yet???? when are you planning on doing outreach until? will be a veritable cd copying whizz later and get it off to you.

liath · 01/02/2007 10:00

WO - didn't get your email - could you resend it? Cheers.

Gotta dash, dd shouting "playdohplaydohPLAYDOHPLAYDOH!"

eca · 01/02/2007 10:02

no thermals as yet, but thankfully it's gone really mild down here, so not been so cold. And I've maaged to convince my co-worker that we need a break halfway through 4hr session, so I manage to get home and eat some hot food!

Don't know how long I'm going to do it for. Hoping as long as poss, coz need the money. And to be honest, the exercise is probably really good for me. They are quite relaxed about me letting them know.

Glad your class was good WO! Ours don't start for another month.

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 01/02/2007 10:21

Morning all.
EllieK, hope you are ok. Lots of people on here now if you need to talk.
Tili, hope things are ok with you.

How is everyone else today?

I slept better, but dh didn't finish work until 12.30 so woke me up when he came to bed. He then had to get up at 6.15 which woke me up again - grrr!

Feeling a bit sick this morning. Probably down to the minor surgery I performed on dd this a.m.!
I had noticed that her nasal discharge ( aka snot) was smelling a bit fishy. Anyway, to cut a long story short, it turns out she had shoved something up there however long ago, and today managed to blow it out with a lot of persuasion. And it stank! Actually wretched, but was not sick!

Need to have a mocha and a cream egg to get over it all!

See you later. x

runnyhabbit · 01/02/2007 10:26

Morning all

Feeling the need for a moan I?m feeling very sorry for myself this morning.

Had really bad pain in my side last night, just before putting ds to bed. Just like a stitch, but a lot sharper, and only seemed to go when I sat in certain way. Rung the mw, had a good chat, and she told me it was probably related to SPD She gave me instructions to take it easy and put my feet up. Which I did while dh did ds bedtime.

Checked on ds before I went to bed, about 10pm, and his room stank of sick. (Dh already in bed because he had been up since 4am) Put the light on, and he had thrown up everywhere in his sleep It was everywhere. So had to wake dh up, bath ds, get clean sheets on his bed etc. But then I started to worry that he would be sick again, so he came in with us. Tried to keep him on his side, in case he was sick again. Good job we did, because a few hours later, he was Neither me or dh got much sleep and I completely forgot about pain in my side, so was agony when I go up this morning. Ds was fine though ? running around this morning as if nothing had happened. Decided not to go in to work today. Do feel a bit guilty, but as mw and dh have said, I have to start taking it a bit easier. Thank god I only have a few weeks left in work

Ok, moan over.

How is everyone else today?

mammyjo · 01/02/2007 10:53

Morning all. Lots to catch up on yet again!

Ellie K, hope you are ok. Please please come back and let us know.

Liath, thinking of your sister today. Cant wait to find out how it all goes. V that hers will be over and done with. Still, only 8 weeks left for me!

Welcome back twinkle. Havent seen you for ages, hope you feel better soon xx

Tili, hope you are doing ok today.

MIABT, hope you are ok today and perhaps not having too much contact with your neighbour.

Bugmum, hope you feel much better soon.

SOSPL, bleughhh at the snot thing. I wouldnt just have retched I would have thrown up big style at the fishy smell!!

Weeonion, any chance I could get a copy of your cd as I am seriously lacking in the snooze department just now mainly due to a very loud snoring dh. I would be happy to send you a blank cd with envelope for return. Dont expect you to start forking out for a production line!!

That will do for now. Apologies if I have missed anyone out. Have a good day xxx

mammyjo · 01/02/2007 10:56

Morning Runny. Sorry you had such a rubbish night. Glad ds is ok today. How do they do that?
Is there any way you could finish work earlier? At this stage you need to be selfish and if it is in your best interests to be off at home resting when you can, then that is what you should do. I feel a bit guilty about the fact that I have now been signed off work, but to be honest it is such a weight off my shoulders not having to struggle in all the time.
Hope you get some time to relax today xx

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 01/02/2007 10:58

Oh Runny, sorry to hear you have had such a crap night. Hope your ds is ok and you can both relax today a bit. The pain may be ligaments stretching. When pg with dd, I had what felt like a stitch in one place for about a week. It was really painful and I was quite concerned. It went away though and both the mw and gp put it down to ligaments.

EllieKwithabigbump · 01/02/2007 10:59

hi all
not really ok, trying to stop crying long enough to type!
stephen decided last night that he can't cope with me having 2 kids, even though he's known that since he met me. he wasn't trying to hurt me, just that loads of things have come together and made him realise it's gonna be too difficult. he starts a new contract with our company next week, near manchester so he'll be 4.5 hours drive from me, and while we get time alone now as Matthew goes to his dad, it'll be difficult when the baby arrives and my ex becomes involved in my life more.
he says he hoped that loving me as much as he does would be enough and that's why he got involved but now he's not sure.
very today

mammyjo · 01/02/2007 11:04

Oh Ellie. What an absolute nightmare for you. Dont really know what to say to make you feel any better either. Have you both sat down and had a good talk about things. Is he starting to feel threatened as the birth gets ever closer? Maybe he is feeling like a bit of a spare part and unsure where he fits into everything. Dont know, just a thought.

EllieKwithabigbump · 01/02/2007 11:05

we talked last night, i think it's lots of things and i asked him if there was anything i could do or say to change his mind and he said there wasn't.
