Off to pick dd up from nursery.

Still no more news re sister....aaargh!

flumppootle · 01/02/2007 17:08

I have just asked ds what he thinks of wearing real nappies. His reply.... I can't care !!!
Typical male eh????

1becomes3 · 01/02/2007 17:23

Great to see you again duchess. I wish you all the luck in the world with your trying for another bean.

I think I may have to look into biodegradable nappies, as it will be all 3 of them in nappies.
My dad seems to think that I should be using reusable nappies, I told him I would send all the washing his way

I must be mad 3 under 2 hey that should be my new name when the DT's are born

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 01/02/2007 18:38

Maveta, reading back, my choice of words was a bit strange. Hope I didn't offend anyone.

How is everyone tonight?

I tried to have a little nap this afternoon - just for an hour, and one of the cats found me and wouldn't leave me alone! Kept pushing his face at me and clawing at me, as well as purring like an engine! Trouble is if I shut the door they just claw the carpet!

Hey ho!

Clarice, really glad your parents arrived safely and you are getting a bit of respite.

x

EllieKwithabigbump · 01/02/2007 19:03

i'm confused
why would you have offended anyone SOL??????
re-read your post several times and still can't find anything wrong!

Katy44 · 01/02/2007 19:07

I was wondering that, but assumed I had missed something entirely!
EllieK, how are you tonight?
Duchesse, nice to 'see' you again, if that's the right word for online people

EllieKwithabigbump · 01/02/2007 19:13

not great Katy but carrying on regardless!
we were supposed to be going away with my best mate and her bloke for my 25th in 3 weeks time, now dp isn't going and there's no way i'm going on my own with the others so looks like i'll be spending my birthday weekend alone

weeonion · 01/02/2007 19:22

duchesse - great to hear from you as well

ellie - hope you are ok. is anyone coming round to keep you company tonight or any pampering planned?

Katy44 · 01/02/2007 19:27

3 weeks is quite a while - can you arrange something else in the meantime? A girls night out maybe? Or at least a meal?

OP posts:
Katy44 · 01/02/2007 19:28

I meant for that weekend of course.

EllieKwithabigbump · 01/02/2007 19:34

i only have one female friend, and she's the one we were going away with!
Matthew's dad is here at the moment to look after him for a while so i can lose myself in MN! he's a star, we might not work as a couple but he's a good friend to me, most of the time!

he's griefing matthew's toy baby, it makes crying noises but i leave it turned off, he just switched it on and i asked 'have you just turned her on' then realised what i'd said

maveta · 01/02/2007 19:40

Oh my god not at all!! You didn´t offend me certainly, I just thought it was funny Can be such a pain when cats won´t let you sleep..exactly why ours now sleep in the kitchen - dh has quite enough to put up with my tossing and turning and my 2 pillows plus my ever increasing belly to ask him to put up with the cats walking all over us all night!

Katy44 · 01/02/2007 19:41

When is your birthday anyway - just so we can give you the virtual bumps?

OP posts:
maveta · 01/02/2007 19:42

No chance you and your girlfriend can still go for a girly meal and drinks together? or an afternoon at a spa or something?

Katy44 · 01/02/2007 19:43

Has anyone seen the February thread - the post about hypnobirthing? I was laughing before, but if it works pass me the incense sticks and start the chanting!!

OP posts:
weeonion · 01/02/2007 19:50

katy - need to check it out! off to do that now..

weeonion · 01/02/2007 19:53

katy - i am with you on that hypnobirthing idea. there is a course up hre but its near £300. dp said nope after e had paid for the nct classes.
right - we need to get back to our book and start reading!!!!!!!!!! flowers opening, blue ribbons - it for it all now!

maveta · 01/02/2007 19:58

Yeah right, I think even attempting any kind of hypnobirthing technique in the hospital would have them in shock! As it as the fact that I am planning to be very firm on a few counts is bound to have me down as the crazy foreigner.

Emmymummy · 01/02/2007 20:41

Well Weeonion - you've inspired me, I've ordered the Mogan Hypnobirthing book & CD. I wanted to give it a go anyway, but the courses here are £400 so, the book sounds like a good option!

mammyjo · 01/02/2007 20:52

Thanks liath and maveta for the advice. I have certainly got bogged down already with what to get. Maybe I will do the same as you and just get a few to try out first to see how I get on. Seems like the sensible thing to do.

Ellie, hope you are doing ok tonight. Thinking of you.

Duchesse, lovely to hear from you. Glad you are on the way to getting things sorted out xxx

Off to the ikea website now to look for wardrobes for both my and ds bedrooms. Have a good evening all.

EllieKwithabigbump · 01/02/2007 21:08

i'm not really a girls girl, most of my friends are male and there's not many of them, i'm a bit inbetween social groups really, there's very few under 25s with children around here, and as a single mum all the married mothers are very nervous of me, seem to think i'll steal their husbands

and my best mate has spoken to me a grand total of, oooh, once! since christmas, and that was because she had to come round and pay the holiday cost!

Stephen has agreed that we can aim for him coming on holiday too, as mates. one of the rooms is single beds anyway so won't be a problem, and as i sadi to him, it's my birthday, it's supposed to be about celebrating with my friends, and that's something he will definitely stay.

now just have to staay strong and not give into Matthew's dad, he has a very annoying habit of getting to me when i'm insecure and convincing me i should go to bed with him, it's always me that ends up getting hurt.

i'm so geeky, not even 25 yet and have spent most of my evening doing a jigsaw puzzle

EllieKwithabigbump · 01/02/2007 21:08

and it's the 21st Feb, I have to work that day so virtual bumps will be most appreciated after 4pm (gently of course!)

weeonion · 01/02/2007 21:08

mammyjo & eca - i have your cds copied and ready to go - email me your address??

emmymummy - i would have sent you the cd to try out before you spent the money on the book!

mammyjo · 01/02/2007 21:15

WO, have just emailed my address to you. Meant to do that earlier and totally forgot about it! Thanks again for the cd xxx

weeonion · 01/02/2007 21:16

elliek - coud we not ty and arrange a meetup for around that time? also - pls dont think i am butting my nose in but try and be strong with your ex - might not be the best thing to go back and reopen things with him - as tempting as affection etc can be when you are down. [hugs] [hugs]
