Crazy that we are onto thread 4 already!

Just starting the 12-week scans, but still feet firmly in the anxiety-ridden first trimester, yikes!

Had another bright red bleed last night, the third one in three weeks! I have previously gone to the epu to get checked out and all was fine and as it's a Sunday won't waste my time at A&E but just feeling a little down about it all...

Olala81 · 17/07/2016 08:49

Good morning everyone, I'm 8w 2d now. We had our first scan last Friday and everything is going well so far. I'm so anxious all the time and mostly tired, but apart of tiredness and really painful breasts I haven't had any other symptoms. It's probably one of the reasons why I'm so anxious.
Im still feeling bit lost with my pregnancy, really wanted a baby, but don't feel in my skin at all now. I hope I will start feeling bit more excited soon.
Ola

twocatsandatoddler · 17/07/2016 09:41

Ola those are my only symptoms too, and I don't even feel that tired any more at 12 weeks today. I an finding it hard to get too excited when I don't feel pregnant. In my first pregnancy I found it difficult to get my head around the fact that we were actually going to have a baby and it didn't feel real until he actually arrived so it's perfectly normal!

Scan tomorrow! Looking forward to seeing whether there's actually something in there!

GinandJazzHands · 17/07/2016 09:45

Hi ladies,
Playing catch up on the thread this morning - great to see some scans coming in! I'm 8+6 today (early scan and re-checking my OV puts me at due 20 Feb not 21st, now), and my NHS scan is this coming Friday (I OV'd late in my cycle so it's been scheduled pretty early). Also feel massive, clothes tight, still nauseous but every now and then I'm having a 'good' da which gives me hope it might ease off soon.
Dreaming, I'm pretty mild mannered at work but I would kick off in your position. Your manager is playing pathetic power/mind games and needs someone to stand up to her. Fuming on your behalf! There is no way I could survive a day at work at the moment if I couldn't constantly graze and sip water. Thinking of you.

GinandJazzHands · 17/07/2016 09:47

I mean good "day"; obvs not a strong day for typing...

GinandJazzHands · 17/07/2016 09:49

Hey Ola try not to worry. I think it's generally hard to get excited either way because you either worry your symptoms aren't pronounced enough, or if they are you feel to crap to get excited! Sounds like you've some pretty classic symptoms there and all is fine x

SpinALittleFaster · 17/07/2016 10:41

Great news on the scans!

dreaming I'd be telling my manager where to go if she tried that. I'm fairly sure removing access to water in the summer would be considered some sort of health and safety violation in my office.

9+6 today and still feeling very wary of everything. I can find a heartbeat with my doppler pretty quickly now so it's helping to calm me a little. My scan date came through and it's on the 1st so only 2 more weeks.

ButtonTum · 17/07/2016 11:35

Spin my scan is also on 1st, counting the days. I'd be obsessive if I had a Doppler but glad it providing some reassurance.

ButtonTum · 17/07/2016 15:40

I've just had a sleep from 1-3pm. Slept a full 9 hours last night too. Bliss.

MimiDiddy · 17/07/2016 16:07

Wispa thanks for the new thread. Just a quick update for the list, my scan on 24th June was fine. It showed an 8 wks old bean with a heartbeat. I have my 12 week scan on 27th July, fx for a slightly bigger bean then Smile

Witch91 · 17/07/2016 16:23

I'm also feeling really fat and struggling to fit into my clothes. Just been onto the next sale though and ordered a few bits and pieces of maternity stuff which should keep me going into the Autumn - they had maternity jeans and trousers for £10 so might be worth a look!

My legs, ankles and feet have been really swollen over the last few days. Was a bit worried initially as I know it's often an issue in 3rd try, but didn't know about it this early. Dr Google seems to say it's fine though particularly given the temperature.

SBSparkles · 17/07/2016 16:55

Ola what I think is 'if I didn't know I was pregnant would this be normal?' As much as we want loads of symptoms you have to remember that sore breasts in themselves are a huge symptom and you wouldn't have them all the time otherwise! I bet there's other things you didn't even notice. Like my fingernails are growing stupidly fast!
Can't get going today! Didn't get to sleep till late as I was waiting for a call back from 111 (they didn't call!) as my thrush was showing signs of infection (tmi!!! Sorry!!!) eventually got an appointment with doc who gave me pessary and it turned out I didn't even need to see him! What a palarva!

Itslittlek · 17/07/2016 18:18

I am so bloated I can not believe it!!!!!

H007 · 17/07/2016 21:14

Wow it's taken me two days to catch up with all the goss.

I am sorry to everyone who has had bad news, and offer comfort to those feeling anxious.

Been away at a family wedding and then a conference in Ireland. Definitely have a small bump as a dress I bought two months ago no longer fits. Had to definitely breathe in for the zip to go up 😆 Have to show horn myself into again for a wedding in two weeks, may need a plan B.

Had my booking in this week, she has given me an EDD of 13th Feb, but even she thinks two weeks later, which would make it my birthday.

Someone asked about folic acid, new guidelines are that women with BMI over 30 should take 5mg of folic acid, usual pregnancy supplements are 5ug.

Symptoms in this house include extreme tiredness and nausea, I must have slept most of yesterday, feel better for it today though.

GinandJazzHands · 17/07/2016 21:45

witch and its also feeling totally massive at only 9 weeks! Crazy! My work clothes are mainly stretchy dresses so they all fit but I just feel huge. Trying to wear more flowy cardigans to disguise it.

SBSparkles · 17/07/2016 22:15

I just bought myself a maternity dress as I can't fit in any work clothes! It takes me an age to digest anything at the moment!! I just noticed today I have a 'linea nigra' already! It's quite feint but there! Light brown! Husband assures me it wasn't there pre pregnancy! Anyone else have this yet?

BohemianRaspberry · 18/07/2016 07:21

dreaming it is illegal to deny employees water unless it is in a controlled environment and even then managers cannot refuse access to water near to the environment.
I'm a teacher and colleague has gotten into real hot water by denying kids access to their water bottles.

Feeling not too bad here - just the nausea from 4pm and the roubd ligament twinges if I get up too fast. The biggest issue is that I injured my knee and it's taking forever to heal so I'm missing my regular exercise.

Evergreen17 · 18/07/2016 07:36

Twocats good luck with the scan!! Do come back and tell us everything!!!
I have the same symptoms as you (not even that tired anymore) so looking forward to your news and experience with the 12 w scan
I have mine 4th of August

Spin which doppler do you have??

divadee · 18/07/2016 07:38

Morning ladies.

I'm really worried this morning. After the bad cervix pains on Saturday I have gone for a wee this morning and there is loads of brown discharge (sorry if tmi!). I have googled it and people say not to worry if brown but of course I worry!!!!

I'm a bit unsure what to do. Do I leave it or call my GP at 8?

BohemianRaspberry · 18/07/2016 08:01

Call the epu diva?

divadee · 18/07/2016 08:34

I have called my GP Bohemian. They are seeing me at 10.30. It's getting a bit redder now so I'm really worried. That with the cervix and internal cramps I am having. :-(

Dreamingoutloud7 · 18/07/2016 08:46

bohemian I suppose she's not technically denying us water though, she's just making it harder to access, whilst she knows she couldn't stop us going to the staff room to grab a drink legally, she would just make it difficult to leave our department.
I've come armed with a new water bottle today, I'm just going to walk directly to my desk with it and see if she dares challenge me on the hottest day of the year!!

Dreamingoutloud7 · 18/07/2016 08:50

Would also just say that our staff room is not on our level so involves walking 2 flights of stairs, and were so short staffed at the moment that she knows none of us would make an 'unnecessary' trip and leave the remaining members of staff to struggle!
It's all abit like emotional blackmail really!

Dreamingoutloud7 · 18/07/2016 08:52

diva I hope everything is ok, I would imagine gp will refer you to epu for a scan. If not, I would ask them to.

MarjorySunshineDust · 18/07/2016 10:51

Hope everything is ok diva

Saw my sil yesterday and as she lives a few hours away and we don't see her often, decided to tell her about the pregnancy. Turns out she is pregnant too, only 7 weeks so hasn't told anyone else yet but it's exciting all the same Smile Our first dc's are only a few months apart and these little ones will be even closer!
