Crazy that we are onto thread 4 already!

Just starting the 12-week scans, but still feet firmly in the anxiety-ridden first trimester, yikes!

haz I'm so sorry to hear your news, be kind to yourself.

sparkles what was the question you wanted answered? Your not being ignored.

Welcome all the newbies.

flipper my mistake was focuses on getting the 5mg out 😊

GinandJazzHands · 19/07/2016 07:47

Good luck for today diva and lucky - and welcome tilly and all newbies! X

FriendlyGhost · 19/07/2016 08:33

Welcome Tilly
Good luck to all those with scans today. Hope all goes well!
Itslittlek I used bio oil and Mama Mio tummy rub butter from about 12 weeks last time. I still got a load of stretch marks and saggy skin but with a 10lb baby I think I would have done well to avoid them. I'm going to use them again this time in the hope I don't get any more but mostly because I feel I have to try!
I've woken up with a sore throat this morning on top of the exhaustion and nausea. Want to stay in bed all day but I can hear dd awake in her cot chatting to teddies!

Dreamingoutloud7 · 19/07/2016 08:42

Good luck to everyone with appointments today, hope everything goes well.

I've been using Clarins tonic oil on myself, my boobs have been so itchy and grown so much that I wanted to start early on them! I've been using it for years as just a body oil so I know it's good. Do want to try the mama bee range as well though.

Welcome to everyone that's just joined and congratulations Smile

Itslittlek · 19/07/2016 09:19

Yes good luck everyone!

I suppose the general idea is that people are predisposed to stretch marks, is that the thinking? Can't do any harm to warn them off if possible though can it! I have them on my thighs at the sides but just the ones you can barely see, so hoping that is the same across my whole body! x

Shellbell0403 · 19/07/2016 09:42

Good luck today diva and lucky

Well just back from the docs today for my second set of anti sickness tabs 😣 Plus the embarrassment of being sick in the docs... the joys x

MarjorySunshineDust · 19/07/2016 10:03

Sanctuary do a lovely stretch mark oil. I still got stretch marks but I enjoyed using it last time, preferred it to bio oil which gave me a rash. It smells really nice too, I'll get some in a few weeks I think.

MarjorySunshineDust · 19/07/2016 10:13

Just checked and it's 1/3 off in Boots at the moment.

kikisdelivery · 19/07/2016 10:40

Good luck to everyone with scans / other appointments today.

Haz, I'm also adding to the hugs and sadness about your news, I hope you are taking good care of yourself x

My scan is in just under 2 weeks now - 1st August. I am so bored of counting down the days already! And feeling like my symptoms are easing off, so of course googling all the dreadful things...

But it's a lovely sunny day here so I might get a sandwich at lunch and sit in the park (in some shade!) instead of in front of the evil internet for a change Smile

divadee · 19/07/2016 10:55

I have a sticky bubs!!!!!

So relieved and can't stop smiling. I will try and post a picture of the scan when I am back home but wanted to update you ladies. I am also a bit further on than we thought. So I thought 11+1 and we are 12 weeks exactly. Whoop whoop.

twocatsandatoddler · 19/07/2016 10:56

Congrats diva! We must have very similar due dates as I'm 11+5 today after my scan yesterday.

SkyLucy · 19/07/2016 11:08

Awesome news diva! X

divadee · 19/07/2016 11:09

They didn't tell me a date twocats but working on 01/02 now I suppose!!

I have my full dating scan next week so it might change I suppose.

MrsM2016 · 19/07/2016 11:24

Hi ladies, sorry I have been quiet on here. I had my hen weekend in Budapest. It was great and I am so pleased I made it through.

I am still being sick, almost daily. And feel generally yucky, sad and lacking motivation.

I am 10+1 today. Midwife put my EDD as 14 Feb. My 3 month scan is on 2nd Aug, so hoping to have something more accurate then.

We are not going to find out the sex of the baby, but I can't wait for the fun of guessing. Someone told me how the shape of the skull can be an indication.

How is everyone else's symptoms? I am getting married in 5 weeks time, so REALLY hoping the morning sickness eases by then.
X

LondonGirl83 · 19/07/2016 11:25

Great news Divadee!

MrsM2016 · 19/07/2016 11:28

Ps for the list, this is also my first bubba! X

FlipperSkipper · 19/07/2016 12:58

I'm so sorry Hazandduck, take care X

H007, no worries, please don't think I'm a d**k for pointing it out!

Wel my pink discharge stopped yesterday afternoon, and my scan this morning showed a heartbeat and measured 8+2, which is spot on going by embryo transfer. The nurse at the EPAU was lovely.

FriendlyGhost · 19/07/2016 13:13

Fab news Diva and Skipper Smile
MrsM we're due date buddies!
I'll update the list again tomorrow if I have time. Quite a lot to add already!

PhoebeGeebee · 19/07/2016 13:16

No more pink spotting here after only seeing it on two wipes so am hoping it was a one off and just me pushing myself too hard.

Was super happy last night after the stress of this event was finally over - so was promising Bubs that Mummy was going to be calmer.....only to have someone drive into the back of my hire car. Nightmare. I'm ok, it was a very minor ding going very very slowly but I've been all over the place today, really emotional and keep having to go have a cry.

Does the worry ever end?!

Congrats divadee - you must be so relieved! Wishing good things for you lucky

FlipperSkipper · 19/07/2016 13:28

Diva I didn't see your post! Great news!

wm3010 · 19/07/2016 13:53

Great to see some lovely news on here, my scan went well today too although slightly further on than I thought so edd 27 January. Can I still hang out with you guys?!

MarjorySunshineDust · 19/07/2016 13:57

Yay so pleased to hear of the positive scans! Stick with us wm Grin

LondonGirl83 · 19/07/2016 14:55

Great scan news Flipper and wm and definitely hang out on this threat wm.

Right now most of us should be 8 weeks or more so I really hope the worst of the sad news is behind us.

Its so weird but seeing my 9 week scan yesterday was the first time I've really accepted I'm having a baby.

twocatsandatoddler · 19/07/2016 15:12

Just had a call from the GP surgery asking me to come in for an appointment tomorrow.

I can only think that it's something to do with my booking bloods, which I had done about 10 days ago and haven't received results about. I imagine it's too early for them to have the results of the combined screening test I had done with my scan yesterday, and in any case I'm not sure it's my GP that I'd have an appointment to see if it did come out that I'm high risk for Down's etc.

Starting to worry now! I'm sure it's just that my bloods say I'm anaemic or something but the receptionist didn't know what the reason was so couldn't put my mind at ease, just said the doctor wanted to 'see how I am'.

FriendlyGhost · 19/07/2016 15:35

Try not to worry twocats. I imagine if it was anything to do with the baby the midwife would want to see you at the hospital. I had a similar call with dd and the timing also freaked me out. Turned out they had mislabelled my bloods at my booking appointment and needed to redo them. Might be something like that or low iron. Hopefully nothing to worry about.
