copper I turned down my first work yesterday, a big project that would have brought in much needed cash. The client was understanding but I couldn't help feeling disappointed with myself. So sorry your client gave you such a rough ride.
Having been diagnosed with HG today and it looking like I am going to be back and forth from the hospital for a bit, I have decided to prioritise health and baby over work. Financially not ideal but a ball had to drop and this was the least bad one.

tiredmumrighthere · 25/05/2016 22:38

Yeah it's probably just stretching, bloody painful don't fancy getting that again!

I can't believe it's Thursday again tomorrow Shock where are the weeks going..

It's my babies 2nd birthday on Friday and I've been feeling totally emotional all day Sad why do they have to grow up!

smellsofelderberries · 25/05/2016 22:39

I really like it cooper, and I'm very fussy about my clothes. You would need to wear a strapless bra with it though, annoyingly, as it is the lace fabric across the back and shoulders. It felt gorgeous on and I really wish I could keep it TBH! (I'm not sending it back just because DH wasn't a fan, crew neck clothing tends to overwhelm me a little bit. Plan on buying lots of V neck stuff as my AA cups have now grow to a very full A, so need to make use of this cleavage while I can!)

smellsofelderberries · 25/05/2016 22:43

I'm sorry Almond, that sounds rubbish Flowers we made a huge decision for me to leave work in March so know what it's like to take a hit financially just when you should be piling the savings away, but we've made adjustments in other areas and it's not so bad. You can always pick up more again when you start to feel a bit better, and you might find that's sooner rather than later if you've given your body some needed down time.

LittleGreyCatwithapinkcollar · 25/05/2016 23:18

Prioritising yourself over work is really hard for some. I've been off 3 weeks now (though not anything to do with pregnancy) and finding it really hard and weird. I've never had more than a day and a half off in one go since I got my first job at 16 so this just isn't like me! Hoping to go back soon but really not ready yet. Sad

coppergrey · 26/05/2016 10:21

Almond, glad you've got a diagnosis and can start getting help with the sickness... it must be so hard to deal with. Completely understand how difficult it is to turn down work, especially as a freelancer, but if there's ever a time to prioritise your health it's now.

Thanks for the info, smells... my D cups are now probably more like Fs (Shock) so a crew neck may not be the best thing for me either... but I might give it a go!

LittleGrey hope you're ok, thinking of you x

AlbusPercival · 26/05/2016 11:15

Completely sympathise with all bra issues, i measured mysefl at the weekend, I am now a 44L or 44M

That size doesn't even exist Confused

needanewjob · 26/05/2016 12:25

Littlegrey been thinking about you all week and hoping everything went as well as it could x

LittleGreyCatwithapinkcollar · 26/05/2016 15:50

Awww Thanks need. Obstetric consultant is happy to continue to plan for a normal pregnancy and birth at this stage but this could all change in a second depending on what neuro oncology/surgery say on Tuesday. I've been pretty Ok and calm up to now but today I feel awful. Achey, dizzy and just terrified so I'm on the sofa with chocolate. Tuesday needs to hurry up.
Sorry to be so self pittying today. I'll try to be more interested and caring from tomorrow!!! Genuinely hope you're all Ok and things are progressing perfectly!

whatsnewsmellycat · 26/05/2016 16:11

Went for my first scan today after finding out I'm further along than we originally expected. Also found out I'm having another little boy! Thrilled Grin

tiredmumrighthere · 26/05/2016 16:53

Ahh lovely congrats whatsnew Smile

whatsnewsmellycat · 26/05/2016 17:27

Thank you ladies :) I'm 17 weeks tomorrow Albus :)

Ameilius · 26/05/2016 17:44

Feel like I've been away for ages.. I've been lurking while waiting for our amnio and then results. We got the result yesterday and the baby has the right number of chromosomes and looks completely healthy! I was so relieved and feel like I can finally start enjoying this pregnancy and start telling people! Grin

Poor you Almond, HG sucks so, so much, but it's great that you're getting treatment now and hopefully they can keep it under control now. It's such a shame to have to give up work, but your health is the most important thing.

Hope everyone else is starting to feel normalish again, I'm very nauseous but only throwing up about once a day, so much better than last time that I'm feeling very thankful and trying to count myself lucky.

Congrates on the boy whatsnews! I think I'm going to be joining you in the boys club soon.. just waiting for the full dna results next week to know for sure.

AlbusPercival · 26/05/2016 19:17

Have you all told people?

I'm 18 weeks and only told very close family, best friends and my boss unofficially.

Terrified something will be wrong at 20 week scan and then will have to tell everyone.

We also agreed no social media announcements, will just tell people when we see them if all ok after scan.

What are your plans?

needanewjob · 26/05/2016 19:59

Ahh whatsnew another little man! congratulations on a lovely healthy scan

smellsofelderberries · 26/05/2016 20:13

So happy that you had good results Ameilius!! Congratulations!

Albus, most of our close friends know (all our families know) and we are telling people as we see them. I'm not great at secrets and have realised I stroke my belly a lot now, so I think it's probably becoming more obvious. Either that, or I look like a weirdo who likes to hold a poochy belly Grin

I think I might have a UTI. All the cramps and niggly pains I've been having, I've noticed my wee smells stronger than normal and I have to wee a lot (though that could be because of how much I'm drinking). Seem to need to go all the time, even after I've just been. They did a test at the hospital last Friday but apparently that came back as inconclusive. Might try and make an emergency appointment with the nurse tomorrow, not sure if I should wait until my midwife appointment next Tuesday. Boo, have a busy day tomorrow! Luckily my GP is literally across the Rd from home.

DuckWaddle · 26/05/2016 20:24

Little grey- you're most definitely entitled to feeling rubbish at the moment. I can't imagine what you're going through and am so sorry you're having to deal with it. I really hope all goes well on tues. The wait must be agonising xx

needanewjob · 26/05/2016 20:44

littlegrey fingers crossed for a good outcome following Tuesday's meeting. This must be so incredibly stressful for you.

LittleGreyCatwithapinkcollar · 26/05/2016 20:47

Thanks duck. Feeling more positive after my earlier rant now!
albus there's no hiding it. My colleague popped over tonight and said all the students in my y10 and 11 classes have been asking if I'm off because of the pregnancy. I was only 13 weeks last time they saw me and I'd certainly not told them so if 15 year olds can work it out, theta not a lot of point pretending it's a secret!!

latinata · 26/05/2016 22:59

Hey ladies, sorry to hear so many people feeling grim. I've been in bed for 3 days with a stinking cold- the only relief is laughing out loud at apps telling me I should be enjoying a boost of energy!

mrsdane · 27/05/2016 08:57

smells I've been similar with weeing a lot this past week; I'll go, and then need to go again about 10 minutes later. Pretty irritating when prepping for meetings/getting the train etc. No discomfort though.

albus we've similarly told very few people - immediate family and best friends, then those that need to know at work. I know what you mean about waiting for the 20 week point to know all is well again. I feel like I'm in weird limbo at the moment - no sickness anymore, but I can't feel anything. Fingers crossed all is OK. Same with no social media, I'm always conscious of how others in different situations may interpret it.

Congrats whatsnew! Get well soon littlegrey

BeedlesPineNeedles · 27/05/2016 09:54

Ameilius that's wonderful news, you must be feeling so relieved.

littlegrey hope you have a better day today and you manage to get through the weekend without worrying too much about Tuesday's appointment.

albus we've told a few people, but I'm surprised that it hasn't really spread at work - I don't Think that anyone knows other than those I have actually told. I shall assume its because they're all far too polite to risk getting it wrong, and not that they all know and just don't care! I did feel slightly freaked out that my brother has told their kids they will be getting a baby cousin, it still feels too early it might still go wrong.

Ameilius · 27/05/2016 11:19

We've not really been telling people but everyone seems to know (I work in that kind of a place without secrets). In just my department alone of just under 30ppl of all ages there have been 6 babies born/going to be born in the space of 18mth so I think ppl are getting very good at noticing pregnancies! We'll put it on facebook after the 20wk scan.
