Thanks majorly. It's starting to ache quite a bit now, which is bloody annoying because I don't feel too sick today so was planning in blitzing the house grrrrr

Keep sipping water, keep a bottle on you so you remember. Not sure about you but I prefer it more room temp otherwise I feel it going through me. If it gets really bad alternate between hot and cold compress but don't do that too often as it can make things worse... I wasn't pregnant when I had mine and managed to hobble to tesco for ibuprofen gel before dr appointment but obvs stay away from that. Also don't bend over that hurts from what I can remember ... And don't hold your wee in!!!

Is anybody else getting the weekly NHS pregnancy emails? I get them but I'm also reading this pregnancy calendar week by week - it's much funnier than the NHS one! alphamom.com/pregnancy-calendar-overview/

My friend also sent me this site which compares the size of your baby to various things: babysizer.com/ My baby is apparently the size of a golden snitch at the moment Smile

eskerina thank you - that made me laugh! My baby is currently the size of a Ferrero Rocher. That appeals on oh, so many levels...

Hi all, I'm 34 and 9+5 with baby #1. Have had to go today for another blood test as my thyroid was high at the first one but I feel fine so hoping it's nothing... I've been feeling alright so far except for the odd day of nausea but today I have lower back pain on my right hand side, with luck I've just slept badly. I live in tenerife so my appointments may be slightly different to you guys but I figure that the same sort of things should be happening and agile I speak some Spanish it's nice to have confirmation of doubts and to hear other experiences in English. I have a scan on 2nd June when I should be 12+4 but it seems like so far away ☺️☺️

Wow these threads move fast!

I was at epu today as in lots of pain, had to wait hours, but got to see a strong heartbeat and measurements agree with my dates of 7+2.

I bf with dd until about 18 months, it was very hard to start as she had tongue tie. Once that was cut it took us both about two weeks to get it right and then it worked. Next time we will mix feed from a lot earlier as I think doing all the feeding and not sleeping contributed to my pnd.

Lovely to hear of others scan results too.

For Facebook, if it's a secret group, I'm happy to join whenever.

I see some people have started to have their booking in appointment? I was just wondering - the urine test they do, is that only for protein, or will they also effectively do a "pregnancy test" to check your hormone levels are where they should be?

I thought I had an early scan on Monday, but it's actually just the booking in appointment, so wondering whether to book one privately just for reassurance as we're seeing DH's parents at the weekend, and he really wants to tell them, but I'd rather have some kind of official OK that it's all going well at the moment first!

I'm at the epu. Had gone to see Dr about cramping and sickness. She referred me and now I'm sat here alone. There's a lady who is crying next to me too.

first at my booking they did urine for protein and sugar, not sure what else but def not pregnancy test. The midwife said they trust you to have done the test. I don't know how others find out their hcg levels etc. Oh, and they did blood too for lots of things.
