You had me worried there for a minute JoJo Grin I mean I've heard of some weird cravings but Envy sick face not envy face

I'm already in bed, hoping DS won't wake at 5:30 but that's just silly thinking! Luckily DH is on leave this week so I've asked him to get up with him tomorrow, I need sleep!!

Yay more twins! I'm totally freaking out that it will be more than 1, no reason for it to be but DH and all my lovely friends are taking the piss and saying it will be, grrrr

ElodieS · 25/05/2016 21:44

Haha, fluffy! I'm sporting pornstar boobies too! Bizarrely I kept my maternity bras from my first pregnancy and had visions of pulling something I liked out of the back of the cupboard... Foolish, they're utterly hideous but they do fit!

Try not to worry notaclue, there are lots of positive stories about. Hope you're doing ok!

Sweet dreams dartmoor! DP is on call for nights this week and DT1 has already decided it's 'time for nursery' twice since going to bed 2 and a half hours ago!

SteffiMuse · 25/05/2016 21:59

Hey notaclue. When I had the scan today she said they are non-ID. I've been unwell in this pregnancy and lost a stone but I'm not skinny and no bump yet just lots of curves. Congrats on you're twins. They will monitor you really closely now and hopefully things will go straightforward for you and you're babies.

I'm not sure how the sonograoher knew they are non-ID as there is nothing written about the placentas but in my notes it says lamda sign seen so does this mean non- ID?

NotAClue82 · 25/05/2016 23:45

Thanks Elodie I try not to worry though it's hard sometimes Smile.

Sorry to hear you've been feeling unwell steffi, I hope it gets better soon! Have you felt sick? (I found my sickness much worse in this twin pregnancy!).

I think they might use the lamba sign to differentiate between non-ID and other types of twins, though I'm not sure. In my case it was very easy to see they are identical as they shared a placenta and a sac called the "chorion" (so mine are monochorionic). I'm sure they'll be able to tell you more at your next scan!

Bigfam · 26/05/2016 06:19

I feel like a zombie, the youngest has been waking at hourly intervals through the night screaming because of chickenpox, mild illness, I think not Sad

readingrainbow · 26/05/2016 06:36

Oh, I hope the discomfort passes quickly, Bigfam. :(

I had a mahooosive lunch yesterday and regretted it bitterly for the rest of the day. I was very uncomfortable and nauseated. At least it has eased off this morning. Never again!

weechops · 26/05/2016 06:49

Oh bigfam that's tough, poor wee thing. Hopefully the worst of it eases off soon.

EllenDegenerate · 26/05/2016 08:16

Oh Bigfam poor you, hope the LO feels better soon and that you can get more sleep!

Congrats on the twins Steffi, how exciting, and hoping that you get some reassuring answers about your twins too Notaclue

ElodieS · 26/05/2016 08:35

Ach bigfam, how miserable! Hope your LO feels better soon, and you can both get some kip!

lilydaisyrose · 26/05/2016 09:10

Definitely feeling lots of movements now at 11+4 (DC3) - really surprised as I didn't feel DC1 until 23 weeks! I can't remember when I felt them with DC2. It feels squirmy and cold inside, like when you get a nervous tummy.

I'm feeling a wee bit better now - still feel v. tired and a bit gaggy but starting to feel more like myself. I'm off work this week which sounds amazing but I've ended up doing the school run everyday (which to be fair I always do - DH is a teacher so can never do it) so up early, nagging, chores etc then have come home and got stuck into all the jobs that haven't been done over the last few weeks due to pregnancy exhaustion and general busyness - so I think I'd actually rather be at work!

I have been reading but promptly forgotten what I've read. Very happy to see all the amazing scan news and welcome to those who have just joined us!

swancourt · 26/05/2016 09:43

Poor you bigfam. My DD1 had it really badly too when she was 2 1/2 - but there were only two days that were really bad and the rest were all much much more manageable. Poor little thing had it worst 23rd and 24th December - she still couldn't eat anything on Christmas Day. Fingers crossed you're almost through it.

Don't know if you've had all the tips or not but oats in a sock run under the bath tap makes an oaty bath and it really soothes the itching. Virasoothe worked well, too (and loads of Calprofen - she had a really high temperature and was knocked out). Virasoothe also totally solved my other DD's cradle cap (she was 4 months old and got it mildly a couple of weeks later) - I've recommended it to loads of people since then and it is totally the best cradle cap treatment ever!

lily that's so exciting! Am 8+4 today with DC3 but totally excited to think there's a possibility of feeling movements at 11 weeks! I felt DD1 at 19 weeks, DD2 at 15/16 weeks, I think. Had an anterior placenta with both but not too badly.

Sickness has finally hit over here. It's still not too horrendous because it's only coming in waves. But when it's with me it's awful and I nearly threw up on the school run this morning.

becciandbump · 26/05/2016 10:33

Has anyone found that their boobs have got less sore as they are approaching week 12 worried by lack of symptoms. Thanks

goinggrey1978 · 26/05/2016 11:21

My boobs are sore, well nipples are always poking out and bumping on things, as the only way to explain it, they were big anyway, now they seem to be even more in the way!!

Azure83 · 26/05/2016 11:25

Becci I'm 12+2 and the boobs have definitely been less sore for the last couple of weeks. Still much bigger though! I think it's something to do with your hormones calming down...

weechops · 26/05/2016 11:50

becci I'm 9+4 and my boobs are much less sore now. It's been the same in all my pregnancies.

I'm completely addicted to cheese slice salad sandwiches just now! Loads of pepper and I don't usually like pepper. Just going to make one now for an early lunch yum!

becciandbump · 26/05/2016 11:56

Thanks azure and weechops that makes me feel a bit better think with a first pregnancy it's hard to know what is normal and also Id never heard of missed miscarriages and things until I joined mumsnet so just feel a bit hyper sensitive x

ChocolateRaisin · 26/05/2016 12:17

Hi everyone, just popping in quickly to say I'm out unfortunately. Had a scan this morning, no growth and no heartbeat now. I was expecting it but had begun to be hopeful.

Thanks for the supportive messages, best of luck to everyone in your pregnancies.Flowers

underrugsswept · 26/05/2016 12:36

10+6 here and my boobs are less sore now too. I don't feel pregnant at all TBH.

lilydaisyrose · 26/05/2016 12:36

I think we're all hypersensitive becci - I blame having too much information at our fingertips! Even wih my first (born in 2007) I didn't use the Internet half as much as I do now, didn't have it on my phone etc; so feel we are now so hyperaware of what could go wrong, it's so incredibly worrying, isn't it! I'm 11+4, my boobs are much less sore, although still tender if kids crash into me for a hug and my nipples are still pointy and sensitive! I am wearing a thin non wired bra just now and if the seat belt brushes on my nipple, it's agony!!

ChocolateRaisin, I'm so sorry, I was hopeful for you.

I've slept all morning! Came back from school run and went to bed! Oops!

ElodieS · 26/05/2016 12:44

Oh Chocolateraisin, I'm so sorry! How horrible. Take care of yourself. Flowers

I agree with you lily - the internet is a curse as well as a blessing. I'm loving MN this pregnancy, whereas I'd never really used it much before, but there's also a whole world of anxiety in Google.

Had to have leave a meeting this morning to let a wave of nausea pass in the loo - very embarrassing, not sure whether I'd rather they guess I'm pregnant or just assume I'm mad!

Babydreaming · 26/05/2016 12:48

I'm 12+2 and my boobs haven't been sore for a couple of weeks! It worried me too at first but everything looked good on the dating scan!

SteffiMuse · 26/05/2016 12:49

Raisin sorry you've had bad news. Look after you're self and take care. It's so devastating.

Notaclue I've had nausea and vomiting and you're right it does seem to be worse with a twin pregnancy. I've had some antiemetic from the doctor though.

Lily amazing you can feel movement already. It must be amazing. My pregnancy with DD was so long ago I don't remember much.

SteffiMuse · 26/05/2016 12:57

Lily so amazing you're little babies are identical. That's so very special and amazing. Have you seen the consultant yet? When I had DD I had an ECS and they said I couldn't have a normal birth when pregnant again so I'll be having another section. My dating scan is in the 14th June and I'll be 13+2.

StubbleTurnips · 26/05/2016 12:59

Raisin Flowers

Going I'm also having the nipple problem, you could hang washing off them most days. Found some boob pads from last times breastfeeding which seem to mask them from poking eyes out at work.

Theaks · 26/05/2016 13:18

I'm sorry raisin look after yourself xx
