Can someone explain to me how you can "feel you uterus"?! Where should you feel and what are you feeling for? I'm intrigued and want to give it a go!!

Scan was okay today, heard the heartbeat and saw the arms moving. Should get the results on the blood tests (trisomy 13, 18 and 21) in 5 working days, so hopefully next Wednesday.

Anyone else getting major heart burn?
I've been woken by it a few times now between 1 and 4am.
I'm being observed teaching today by 12 teachers from different schools around the county and am definitely not going to be be getting back to sleep :(

bumble I'm getting pretty bad heartburn too. Not every day but a lot. Rennies tablets seem to work well for me

I had a bit of an emotional meltdown yesterday. Just felt really overwhelmed and teary. For no real reason! And dh isn't home for another 4 weeks. Sigh. I'm ok today though thankfully. Got to love the hormones!!

12 weeks for me today, first scan tomorrow, yippeeee!

Has everyone got their 12 week scan dates yet? I'm 11+1 and had my booking in appt last week, but I'm still waiting for the scan date.

Brilliant scan barking, you and (sorry I forgot who it was the other day) who have had harmony scans, might be our first gender reveals - how exciting! Do you find out gender next week too?

watermelon, my 20 scan is at 19w so I'd safely guess not holidaying between 19w-21w, however in in Scotland so might be different elsewhere? Also remember your dates will probably change at your 12w scan and this gives you your proper due date where all other scans and appointments will be dated from.

To feel the top of your uterus later in pregnancy, you walk your index and middle fingers of one hand down from the top of your ribcage. Therefore to find mine at 10-11w pg, I walked my fingers down from my bellybutton to my pubic bone. Difficult if you carry weight, but I think I got mine.

Tipboov No scan date through for me yet. Saw midwife at 8 weeks and will be 10wks on Saturday. Hoping something might come through the post shortly as me and other half are both away on business a fair a bit around wk12 and 13 so I'm getting pretty anxious.

Happy Thursday everyone.

I've just been for my 12 week scan, it was amazing! The picture was so much clearer than it was with DS 5 years ago. And it really looked like a tiny baby jumping all over the place. All was good. It feels so much more real now, there's actually a little baby in there.

I have a new due date too, 2nd December. My 7/8 week scan put me four days behind my dates, and this one put me two days ahead. I thought I was 11+4, but I'm now 11+6. Nice to skip a couple of days!

Lovely to hear of your amazing scan Solomon, is it the 1st one you've had with this pregnancy? I wonder if they improved much in the 2 years since I had dd3... Will have to wait and see.

So far this morning I've had a huge bowl of cocopops, cheese and pickle snack pack, a huge bag of crisps & half a triple chocolate chip big cookie I'm still hungry...

I had an early viability scan too, but the baby was just a tiny blob so I didn't realise how good the scanners were!

I'm having weird hay fever type symptoms in the morning. Runny nose, sneezing, scratchy throat. I've never had hay fever and I've lived in the country all my life!
