I did pregnancy yoga and aqua natal last time. I really enjoyed the aqua natal, I'm hoping to find a class again this time!

Helgathehairy · 17/05/2016 12:52

azure with DD I had NO sickness, none, no nausea or anything and she's absolutely fine. This baby isn't being as well behaved!

TinySalmon · 17/05/2016 14:07

Aqua natal! That sounds like so much fun soloman!

I just got a bra fitting at Mothercare to buy some pregnancy bras... 32DD 😳😳😳 Coning from someone whose rather slim with NO BOOBS this is like the best news ever. The woman said I'll probably go up to an E by my third trimester. Wowsers!

DartmoorDoughnut · 17/05/2016 14:14

azure I had sweet f.a nausea or voniting last time, in fact had zero symptoms what so ever! Bit of nausea early on this time but that dropped off weeks ago, it's all good!

NotAClue82 · 17/05/2016 14:56

Hi all! Hope you all well.
kippers I'm glad to hear you are starting to feel more human! I'm actually starting to feel a little bit better myself - I still get nauseous throughout the day but there's a lot less vomiting, and I'm able to eat more food, too.

Last two weeks have been hard work, my husband has been away for work (he left two days after we found out about the twins, yikes!) so it's just been me in charge of the toddler. With work, the growing twins & my nausea it's been a struggle at times and I'm counting down the nights until he is back!

I can't wait to be able to vomit in peace Grin

FluffyPickleMonster · 17/05/2016 15:41

Thanks solomandaisy, it's getting worse and so ridiculously painful. Do you think it's worth mentioning to midwife or Drs at all? I'm not due to see midwife until 12 week scan(in over 3weeks) and then at 16werks.

ermmm · 17/05/2016 15:49

(This thread has moved so fast, sorry place marking will catch up later)

Firsttimer16 · 17/05/2016 16:27

azure I haven't had any ms, and actually barely any symptoms at all. Such a weird feeling to be so jealous of everyone feeling so sick! I had a scan yesterday and was convinced there would be nothing there, but all looked so far so good - so I'm slowly beginning to believe it's ok, but it doesn't stop being any less worrying! Never thought I'd be wishing to be sick!

Essybird · 17/05/2016 17:32

TinySalmon I spoke to a heavily pregnant personal trainer last week and she essentially advised me to carry on training as long as I feel well. And that I will know my body well enough (I've exercised regularly since I was 10) to know if something doesn't feel right. She suggested modifying any HIIT workouts and avoid box jumps and burpees etc but otherwise it is all systems go!
I also sense checked the PT opinion with a MW and she said essentially the same - as long as you feel well, carry on...

I have been exercising through pregnancy so far and I feel like it has actually helped me - for some reason raising my heart rate gets rid of the annoying nausea... in fact I have had some really good running sessions as well and felt really strong!

bumbleclat · 17/05/2016 17:41

I went for my emergency scan this morning because of bright red blood , cramps and small clots yesterday and the baby was there all busy with a nice strong heartbeat. I cannot tell you what a relief it was.
The bleeding is apparently a small haemorrhage (bleed) in my uterus caused by my oestrogen and progesterone competing Confused
Now I'm in bed (having been up all night worrying) enjoying feeling nauseous.
It's just such a delicate thing pregnancy I honestly had no idea.

Watermelon2016 · 17/05/2016 18:00

Azure~ I'm with you. Not an ounce of vomit has passed my lips. Some mild waves of nausea and massive food aversions at times but that's it. I worry all the time I should be feeling worse than I am. Don't get me wrong; Boobs have been horrendous at times but much better now and headaches have been the nemesis of symptoms but all in all quite mild compared to some of our lovely ladies. Had an early private scan at 7+6 and am now 9+2. 12/13 weeks seems ages away...
In the meantime I'll go with the wise words of the midwife when I questioned her about lack of symptoms; 'just consider yourself bl**dy lucky :-)'

TipBoov · 17/05/2016 18:14

Good news bumble!

Rosa89 · 17/05/2016 18:19

Hi everyone,
Bleeding started this morning, fresh red and had to go home as was worried it would get heavier. But even though I think I'm still bleeding it's lessened. Just seen your post bumbleclat, it's given me a tiny shred of hope. Do u mind me asking how heavy your bleeding was and for how long? I can PM you if you prefer.
Sorry to bring things down, just feeling awful as this would be my second MC Sad

SolomanDaisy · 17/05/2016 18:29

fluffypickle, I'd go to the Dr and ask for a physio referral. They take a while to come through and if you're feeling this bad early on you need intervention to try and stop it progressing. I'm going to call the physio next week if my scan goes ok.

rosa, I hope the bleeding isn't anything serious.

bumbleclat · 17/05/2016 18:29

No not at all, I spent all night worrying (literally) and anything I can say to allay your fears is fine.

In the morning it was like bright red, first day of period blood on the tissue and when I looked in the toilet there were lots of little clots (size of match heads) and the toilet water was red.

Then I went to work with a sanitary towel in my knickers and this stained a little patch (about the size of 3 £2 coins over the course of the day.

Again, I had more clots in the bottom of the loo when I did a wee.
Then it just tailed off to slight light brown every time I wiped.

I just laid down from 4pm- 7pm this morning and haven't been too bad today.

The consultant at the hospital said that out of any ten women 7 will bleed red blood in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy- please don't worry yourself stupid like I did- just get booked in for a scan and see what's going on.

I could actually see the little patch of bleeding inside so I've been warned that I probably will bleed again soon.

Embarrassingly the ultrasound couldn't see my ovaries because of so much bowel gas in the way!! I think the trapped wind is what's been causing me all the pain.

bumbleclat · 17/05/2016 18:30

4pm-7am

Rosa89 · 17/05/2016 18:36

Thank you Bumble I don't think I've had any clots but I've had enough bleeding to fill a pad. But it's not been as heavy this evening. Will go to the EPU tmrw morning and hope for the best.

bumbleclat · 17/05/2016 19:20

Keeping my fingers crossed for you 🙏🏻

Admarks · 17/05/2016 19:44

Great news Bumble and best of luck tomorrow Rosa!

I'm sort of jealous of you all with symptoms as my lack of symptoms (other than tiredness) is beginning to worry me. Just hoping I'm one of the 'lucky' ones who has mild ms! I'll probably be struck down tomorrow having just written that!!!

So, I met with my GP to start my antenatal care as per their procedure. What a waste of time and resource in a busy practice!! He essentially signed two forms then asked me to sit in reception, fill them in and hand to the receptionist to get the ball rolling!! I've now booked by booking appointment with the midwife but it's on 16th June! I will be 11 weeks by then. Spoken to the midwife team who said that's fine and normal. It just seems so long away!!!! Does anyone else feel like the days are dragging... Hoping that my 12 week scan date come soon (and is on time)!!!

Sorry for the rant for some reason the month wait to my midwife appointment pushed me over the edge and i burst into tears at the surgery and then at hope with DH ( and then when I realised I had no ricotta for dinner. I think I'm an emotional wreck!!)

Looking forward positively, does any one have any recommendations for stretch mark cream?

BowSurprise · 17/05/2016 19:51

Azure and Admarks I also don't have many symptoms. Some slight nausea and tiredness but that's it, except the spotting....had a scan yesterday and all was as it should be so I'm choosing to ignore MS=healthy baby

SouthDownsSunshine · 17/05/2016 19:59

Rosa I bled as heavily as a period for 2 1/2 weeks and baby is still strong.

admarks you might not need stretchmark cream. I just used Palmers cocoa butter moisturiser last time. I didn't get a single stretch mark. I got lots as a teenager though so I do have plenty!

MrsJoJo · 17/05/2016 20:43

I've already started using bio oil... I have hideous stretch marks from DS (start below my bikini line to just under my boobs, wrapping round my hips for good measure) and want to avoid getting more if I can. I used bio oil & palmers coco butter last time though so not sure if they made a jot of difference.

I hit the magic 12 weeks mark tomorrow... Off to Barcelona on Thursday, back Sunday and scan on Monday - can't wait!!

NotAClue82 · 17/05/2016 21:03

Good luck tomorrow Rosa, will be thinking of you.

barkingtreefrog · 17/05/2016 22:38

So sorry to hear your news helbelle, I hope it's not too bad physically and you're being well looked after Flowers.

I'm another one still stressing about lack of symptoms, although I have nausea and exhaustion that kicks in at 4.30 every day, but no actual sickness (not complaining about that, I absolutely hate being sick).

I started getting really bad cramps in a different way to anything I've felt so far this evening, so I'm totally stressing that it's all over. I have my first harmony scan tomorrow lunchtime though, so I'll find out then Confused. This will be my 5th scan and I'm only 10 weeks. And it's not really helping the anxiety other than I know at that point it's okay, then I'm on countdown to the next.

I have a proper pot belly. It's really feeling quite uncomfortable.

On the exercise front, I quit everything before the ivf (advised to save all energy for egg production rather than repairing muscles). So now I can't decide whether my body is still used to exercise and I should carry on or not! I'm still swimming and walking the dog, and swimming and walking are what everyone keeps saying would be good. I asked the midwife about open water swimming and she said there was no problem, so I'll continue as long as I can fit into my wetsuit!!
I'd love to find a pregnancy yoga class after 12 weeks.

floweroct how the hell are you?!

Hannahcarp27 · 17/05/2016 23:07

So after 3 weeks away in Bali I am now sat in Doha airport for the second part of the total 20 hour journey. Literally feel like crying i am so tired but can't get comfortable at all on the planes, the food is making me want to puke and my hips are killing me. Safe to say as much as I've enjoyed my holiday I really can't wait to get to my own bed. I have my first midwife appointment on Thursday where will be 10 + 6 so have been just wanted to get back and get scan booked to check all is ok.

Also while away I have found it a nightmare to eat. The food in Bali is amazing but I have not been able to eat any of it all I have been dreaming of is a Gregs sausage roll!! I've also not been to bad with symptoms my boobs are huge and sore, off food is the main one and a few days of sickness. Have been going to bed early most days while away but waking up at 6.30 which is very unlike me!!
