I'm sorry helbelle xx

Firsttimer16 · 16/05/2016 21:06

So sorry to hear helbelle what sad news. I hope you have lots of support.

I had an early private scan today - saw a heart beat and measured 7+6, so just a few days off the 8+2 I thought. Due date now 27th Dec. Reassuring everything fine so far, but know it's still a long road.

SolomanDaisy · 16/05/2016 21:25

So sorry helbelle.

Rosa89 · 16/05/2016 21:26

So sorry helbelle, such sad news and Flowers to those struggling with bleeding. I also had some brown spotting again over the weekend but it seems to have stopped. I'm feeling anxious as this was around the time I MC last time, not long before my 12 week scan which is next week. I just want to make it to that milestone then breath a sigh of a relief even if only for a short while.

Bella1985 · 17/05/2016 08:07

Really sorry to read about your sad news helbelle75

I'm a week away from the booking in appointment, feels like years before the first scan will happen. This thread is keeping me realistic about the things that can go wrong so even though I'm excited to be pregnant, I'm still keeping it mind that there are various hurdles along the way and to prepare for all scenarios.

Hardly slept all weekend due to being too hot/cold but went to bed at 8 last night and managed to crack the heat problem! First morning in weeks I feel refreshed.

I hope everyone else has a good day and good news with scans and apppointments.

Roxy2307 · 17/05/2016 08:14

Helbelle I'm so very sorry to hear your sad news. It's heartbreaking to hear. Take care of yourself as much as you can Flowers x

Another pair of jeans added to The Box. Hmm

TipBoov · 17/05/2016 09:05

I have a box too😂 In my last pregnancy, I thought I'd got rid of most of my pre-pregnancy clothes, but I discovered them again 6 months ago when I moved house! Unfortunately most didn't fit, but this time I'm going to remember where I've put them.

Last night I laid on the bed, I thought I'd have 5 mins to relax before having a shower and catching up on some work, but I didn't wake up until 7am! Weirdly I didn't feel any more rested though.

I'm 10+6 today and had my first proper morning sickness off the pregnancy. I've been feeling nauseous but today was the first actual vomiting. Hooray!

OrianaBanana · 17/05/2016 09:11

TipBoov I feel your pain. I've been very nauseous since week 8 (I'm 9+6) but haven't vomited yet. This morning I have seriously gagged at my cereal; my perfume; a cup of tea; my deodorant; the smell of fabric conditioner; and worryingly, the (clean) smell of my husband Hmm

I feel vomiting is not far away.

SouthDownsSunshine · 17/05/2016 10:00

DH accused me if vetting melodramatic when I gagged whilst taking my vitamins! The cheek.

All my jeans are now put aside. But my maternity jeans are still in the loft. Uh oh.

kippersandcurtains · 17/05/2016 10:04

11+4 and starting to feel more human - could this be the start of the end of the hideousness?? Or will it just kick in again this afternoon when I get tired? Time will tell. I am not getting excited just yet (and besides, diminishing symptoms pre-12 week scan only make me worried something has gone wrong ).

Car journeys when I am not driving are out though - full on sweaty palms within about 4 minutes of leaving the house. Bleugh.

Heartburn appears to be the next symptom (I recall this from previous pregnancies). Hip hip hooray! But not complaining, I promise…

By the way, anyone got pregnancy pillow for sleeping? I had one for my first and loved it - currently using a pillow between knees, which really helps for some reason. I recommend if sleep is getting difficult/uncomfy.

How's life with two notaclue?

TipBoov · 17/05/2016 10:18

I was worried yesterday that I haven't had any vomiting yet, but now I'm actually being sick I feel relieved!

kippers I had a dreamgenii in my previous pregnancy which was great, but I'm not sure what I did with it and don't fancy spending £40 on a pillow! For now I'm using my son's old toddler pillow between my knees which helps me get comfy.

SolomanDaisy · 17/05/2016 10:20

kippers, I thought my nausea had improved last week, only for it to come back worse than ever. I'm 11+2 now though and I'm hoping the magical 12 week improvement will kick in soon.

I had a pregnancy pillow last time and with spd it was essential! My pelvis has started to go this week (slightly later than last time, so I'm hoping it won't be as bad), so I need to get one. I'm not going to until after my scan though!

kippersandcurtains · 17/05/2016 10:22

I love a happy vommer tipboov! Kudos to you - I am actually fearful of being sick (my low blood pressure causes me to faint when I do, which can be a right problem), so have been glad my nausea hasn't resolved itself that way (for now). Hope it doesn't last for long though.

I'm the same - posh pillow is in the attic somewhere but can't face the search, or the cost of another. For anyone considering them though, they're lovely.

kippersandcurtains · 17/05/2016 10:26

Oh soloman you suffer from SPD? Poor you. I really hope it doesn't kick in badly this time. Perhaps the pillow could be a post-scan treat?!

Talking of which - I intend to buy a teeny tiny baby grow if all goes well on Monday. I did with both boys and enjoyed secret stroking of them during my pregnancies. Oh please, let us all get through to the Other Side now, it feels as if there have been too many losses on this thread.

TipBoov · 17/05/2016 10:44

kippers must be really frightening for you, fingers crossed you don't suffer with any sickness! xx

I had an aching between my legs yesterday, thought it was too early for the dreaded SPD Sad

I think I'll buy a teddy after the 12 week scan, my son loves a pic of me pregnant with him, with his favourite elephant sat on my bump, so it might be nice for DC2.

FluffyPickleMonster · 17/05/2016 10:50

I'm wondering if I might have SPD.... I've developed an excruciating pain in my left buttock, kind of the bony bit you sit on. Any time I move slightly or put weight on my left leg it catches and absolutely kills me. Never had this type of pain before. Not really sure what I can do about it???

TinySalmon · 17/05/2016 10:54

Morning ladies!

What is everyone's stance on exercise? DP and I have a personal trainer but I haven't gone since finding out I was pregnant as I'm just too paranoid running or jumping will cause me to lose the baby which I KNOW is ridiculous thinking. I've read keeping up your exercise routine is good for you in pregnancy though? I'm worried about losing my shape but so scared I'm going to damage my unborn child somehow.

DP suggested I go swimming. We are lucky there's a 25m lap pool at our gym but my hair goes a funny colour (it's dyed platinum/ashy blonde and turns yellow in the chlorine... Even if I wear a swimming cap).

Tips and advice?! X

Theaks · 17/05/2016 11:01

tinysalmon they do suggest to continue with light exercise if your body is used to it. Heard that if you not used to exercise its not the time to start. I don't do much myself- very lazy!!!! But I do yoga, I too was a little worried so I have given it up for the time. Told my yoga teacher that I'm working late on a Monday. Figured I'd go back once I get (hopefully) the all is well 12 week scan out of the way. I can tell her then and she can advice me what not to do. Can you tell your trainer and he/she can them give you execises that would be safe?

SouthDownsSunshine · 17/05/2016 11:10

I love exercise and I've really missed it. Once I've had no bleeding for a while I'll take up swimming again, and I'll do pregnancy yoga once past next week's scan. For now I've just been walking.

I started pregnancy yoga far too late last time, but I still found it really helpful.

TinySalmon · 17/05/2016 12:03

Thanks theaks and south. Theaks, just like you I think I'll wait till post 12 weeks to let my trainer know I'm pregnant (told DP not to tell him yet!) and see if he has experience with pregnant women.

I can't wait to do pregnancy yoga and pilates!

firawla · 17/05/2016 12:15

tiny salmon at booking in my midwife didn't seem to be too keen on a lot of exercise in pregnancy, although I do need to lose a bit more weight! My sil had recommended me a personal trainer with experience working with pregnant and post natal so then midwife said thatll be okay if they know their stuff about what's suitable in pregnancy. But tbh I don't have the energy atm so haven't called this trainer, all I've been doing is walking.

Theaks · 17/05/2016 12:19

That is a good point fiawla my yoga class is quite late on a Monday! I think I would just be asleep through most of it at mo! so looking forward to going back. I have really missed it!!!

Azure83 · 17/05/2016 12:30

I've been swimming a lot more. I enjoy it but the best part is being able to stretch my lower back by the side of the pool.

I'm a little bit jealous of the communal vomiting..Hmm I've not had any problems like that, even the heartburn is gone. Friends say I'm lucky but on the other hand the "morning sickness means healthy pregnancy" thing worries me a lot. Two weeks until the scan and I'm more and more convinced there won't be much there...

SolomanDaisy · 17/05/2016 12:39

fluffypickle, that does sound like SPD, unfortunately. Mine started at 8 weeks last time, it's just bad luck. Physio and a support belt can really help a lot.

I've just had a midwife appointment and she found the heartbeat! It was amazing to hear it, I feel a bit more relaxed about my scan on Thursday now.
