Oh poppet that's a pain! Do you feel like he might be breech? I hope your BP settles and your scan goes ok. Is that happening tomorrow?

I honestly can't tell if this baby has moved or not. Sometimes I feel sure his head is in my ribs and other times it feels like only limbs up there. . Scan on Tuesday to find out for sure.

iamdivergent · 17/05/2016 20:47

Aw he is gorgeous 😍 congratulations nehagarg

Thank you for asking Grumpy I have my c-section Booked for Friday am. Eek! Bring on these babies!
Good luck to everyone...xxxx

PoppetPants · 18/05/2016 07:19

Thank you for all the good wishes :)

Not sure when the scan will be, my MW has booked me into her clinic for a sweep next Tuesday so should be before that. Still puzzled by the BP thing, I had been rushing around but no more than normal and am feeling really well. Also puzzled by the breech position as up to now my MW has always said that he's head down and his heartbeat has always been in the right place and all his movements feel the same as they have for the last few months. Oh well, the scan will hopefully clarify things for me!

If he is breech and doesn't turn what happens then??

mrsmugoo · 18/05/2016 07:33

Poppet - you may get offered an ECV (they usually do them at 37 weeks) otherwise you'll be choosing between a vaginal breech delivery or ELCS.

laughingGnomette · 18/05/2016 07:39

poppet - the normal process is that they'll offer you an ECV which is where the consultant turns the baby manually (can be painful and around 50% success rate). I understand that a lot of hospitals are uncomfortable with allowing a vaginal birth if baby doesn't turn so you'll be offered a c-section.

It could well be that your mw had got it wrong, it does happen!! The scan will tell you for sure.

iamdivergent · 18/05/2016 07:52

Good luck for today madrigal and for Friday chilli

This little monkey is still back to back (I think, can't feel the body at all when on my back but getting poked and prodded from all directions!). Hope he turns around though I know he could wait until labour is underway before he does!

This time in a fortnight I will be on my first day of maternity leave Grin can't wait! Next week itself is busy, I'm booked in for a deluxe pedicure on Monday, mw on Tuesday and a leaving lunch on Wednesday! Phew I'll need a rest after all that activity.

Hope everyone else is ok.

Torfhinn · 18/05/2016 08:01

All the best today madrigal, thinking if you today. Exciting that you get to meet baby today!

bikingintherain · 18/05/2016 08:23

I'm completely losing where everybody is up to, there are so many different things going on. I hope I'm not missing wishing anybody all the best.

But good luck for today madrigal.

wigelspigels · 18/05/2016 08:37

Madrigal good luck for today, another wee munchkin

We're at 37 weeks which is great as now our Homebirth can go ahead.

bikingintherain · 18/05/2016 08:49

I successfully painted my toe nails. As in I managed to get nail varnish on my nails, but also a fair amount on the skin around them. Maybe I should claim DD helped me with them?

mrsmugoo · 18/05/2016 08:50

Ooh another baby today! Best of luck Madrigal!

Can't wait to see another squishy little baby on here - it's making me so excited even though I am really looking forward to at least 2 baby free weeks while on mat leave!

Lovelybeano · 18/05/2016 09:16

Good luck for today madrigal

strawberrypenguin · 18/05/2016 09:20

sounds successful to me biking Grin I was equally impressed that I managed to cut my toe nails this morning!

Hope it all goes well today madrigal

laughingGnomette · 18/05/2016 09:22

I'm with you on that one mrsmugoo!

JulieBolton79 · 18/05/2016 09:35

Congratulations Neha what a beautiful baby! Flowers
Lovely Pram clarish Smile

Hope baby isn't breach poppet fx for you.

Good luck madrigal how exciting all these babies on there way soon.

Biking and strawberry well done on reaching your toes never mind painting/cutting them! I've been attempting tidying various 'bits' just in case and it's hard work lol. Shock

nehagarg · 18/05/2016 12:15

Thanks everyone. We are very happy. Baby isnt latching. Possible posterior tongue tie that they are investigating. In the meanwhile, he has had some formula from a cup today so I am much happier. Was beginning to get really worried.

Bestest of luck today Madrigal. Cant wait to see your gorgeous bundle. Smile

Good luck poppet. For a time my nidwife suspected baby was breech too but scan revealed he wasnt. Really hope its the same for you.

Congratulations nehagarg

Good luck madrgal

I'm still in hospital playing the waiting game for now. My consultant keeps saying that delivery is just around the corner, but we are taking it day by day still. Finally managed to get a growth scan which showed babys growth has slowed a little and my bump seems to have shrunk by an inch, but baby is head down so ready to go as it were

iamdivergent · 18/05/2016 13:19

insideout I hope it is soon for you.
