I know there's already a thread up for early Jan babies but couldn't see one for the rest of Jan (probably as I'm jumping the gun a bit here!).

This is my first proper pregnancy and I'm a planner by nature so I need some kind of place to talk about this so I don't drive my DP mad!

Bit about me:
I'm 28
This is baby number one
EDD 6th Jan.

Anyone else want to join me?

Congratulations all newbies. Been a bit quiet as work has been quite stressful. I'm waiting for a phone call from the midwife (I think I've missed two calls from them - but no message left so I'm not sure if I should call back!). Still feeling like I'm making it all up! Haven't told anyone yet, but think I'll crack soon.

Going by LMP I'm 5+6 but I have a longer cycle so likely closer to 5weeks. We'll see in a month or so!

I'd be up for a FB page too Smile

redstrawberries101 · 14/05/2016 21:59

I'm getting a due date of 17th Jan on there. Ovia pregnancy app gives me due date of 14th Jan.

As you say they will come when ready!

ChickadeeChick · 14/05/2016 22:00

I also stand corrected, FR put me as 4+4 then with same due date as NHS with a 29 day cycle :) period was due Wednesday, I wasn't counting Wednesday as a day I don't think! Blush

Belfastgirl90 · 14/05/2016 22:01

#whatabanana# this is dc3 for me aswell! Im really anxious about this one also. I wonder if it's an age thing I was 19 when I had my first and was careful about things but now im paranoid about every little twinge, not feelig any symptoms etc. I'm gettin a scan next week tho because I have a womb prolapse so i get scanned everytime im at the doc and hospital which puts my mind at ease a little bit

ChickadeeChick · 14/05/2016 22:01

So snap Evans! Grin

EvansAndThePrince · 14/05/2016 22:01

Cheeky I'm 17th too, I wonder what Ovia say!

Heart drop me a PM Smile

ChickadeeChick · 14/05/2016 22:03

Ovia has me at 4+4 and due date 17th. Hmm

redstrawberries101 · 14/05/2016 22:06

I have 30 dAy cycles and I'm
Sure I ovulate late although I've never tracked ovulation. So in probs not 5 weeks yet ! But I'll just go with that for now.

Minotaurus · 14/05/2016 22:10

Hi everyone! Mega excited to have had a bfp today. I'm 4+1 edd about 20th Jan.

I'm 30 and this is (potentially) baby # 2, although atm it all feels totally unreal.

We've decided to wait to tell people but I'm too excited to hold it in!

Minotaurus · 14/05/2016 22:11

Congrats everyone on the bfps Smile

ChickadeeChick · 14/05/2016 22:13

Cheeky I've confused myself completely trying to figure it out! I'll go with 4+4 and see what they say at the 12 week scan. Knock on wood. Grin

Welcome minotaurus and congratulations on your BFP! Smile

EvansAndThePrince · 14/05/2016 22:22

Chick same, and I usually have a 29 day cycle so we can be 17/18th buddies Smile

Congrats mino!! I'm with you on the not feeling real yet!

Okay I'm away to bed now, if anyone else wants to be added to the Facebook group, pm me with your email address and I will add you in the morning.

I have a good feeling about this group, you all seem so lovely Flowers

Goodnight all and your wee poppy seed babies!

redstrawberries101 · 14/05/2016 22:38

Bless you all. I'm lying in bed watching tv when really I should be having an early night. I'm still getting period like cramping , is anyone else?

ChickadeeChick · 14/05/2016 22:41

Cheeky it could be implantation? I think it's normal to get cramping and stretching in early pregnancy, try not to worry too much. Speak to the doctor (do you have 111 in your area?) in the morning if you're worried.

redstrawberries101 · 14/05/2016 22:45

I've got an appt on Friday so will mention it then. It comes and goes and as you say probably implantation....it's not severe which is a good sign!

ChickadeeChick · 14/05/2016 22:46

That is a good sign. It's so fraught the first trimester. Every little twinge I get I worry. Flowers

saffronkit · 14/05/2016 22:46

Cheeky - I'm getting period type cramping - really bad last night - but loads of websites say it's ok. Also up watching TV - actually What to Expect When You're Expecting (!!?! am I mad?? I am weeping like a child). Good night everyone + specks!

redstrawberries101 · 14/05/2016 22:48

Good night!!

Belfastgirl90 · 14/05/2016 22:50

cheeky ive had that aswell i told my doctor and she said its totally normal at this point aslong as it's not worse than ur normal period cramps u should be ok.

Im watching a movie with the kids they really should be in bed but it's nearly over so they can go soon

indecisivedoctor · 14/05/2016 22:56

Hi everyone,

Slightly late to the party- just noticed this thread!

Got my BFP on Monday.

I'm 35, this will be number 2- a sibling for my DD (2.5). EDD 13th Jan.

Will go back and read the thread now! Xx

MagpieCursedTea · 15/05/2016 00:24

Congratulations to all the new people with BFPs!
My doctors have sent my info to the midwives but I need to call them to arrange booking in. I've been putting it off as I'm scared something is going to go wrong but will call them on Monday.
I'm also interested in the FB group, is it set to secret so it doesn't come up in suggested groups? Don't want anyone on my friends list to twig that I'm pregnant!

6+0 #2

Summer9 · 15/05/2016 06:55

Evans I've just sent you a PM - hopefully you've got it and can add me to FB.

How's everyone this morning?

I've been getting cramps but from what I remember that's normal. Your body is going to do a lot of moving things around to make room for your little bean so try not to panic. I'm bloating and cramping - driving me mad Grin Debating telling my best mate today as no one else knows - might make it feel more real.

I'm only 4+2 I think so early days. EDD is Jan 20th

goldensunlight · 15/05/2016 07:10

Morning ladies,

Evans I have PM you too so fingers crossed it works. I have been up since 4.30 this morning. I have been waking so early and not been able to sleep again. I had to buy a new bra yesterday as my boobs have become enlarged! Other symptoms...insane thirst! I have also lost weight this week. I am not over weight (size 10) but I think it must be sudden lack of bisuits, cake and alcohol in my diet!

I have a scan booked on wed when I will be 6+0 to check it is an inter uterine pregnancy after a cervical ectopic last time so feeling anxious, although positive about that.

Happy Sunday to you all!

5+4 #1

Blondie87 · 15/05/2016 07:17

Hi ladies,
Just had a quick read through to catch up on where everyone's at. Regards to telling people, last time I told my parents the day I found out but this time I want to keep it private a bit longer. Feels a bit odd though as I'm currently staying at theirs for the weekend and found out I was pregnant here!
I'm super nervous about telling work because I've only been back from maternity leave for two months but from a personal perspective this is the right time for us and I'm not planning on any more children if this pregnancy all goes to plan.
I have slightly irregular cycles ranging from 28-42 days but usually about 33 days so I'm basing my due date on around when I ovulated.
No real symptoms being shattered and a slight bit of nauseous when I woke up. Anyone got any strong symptoms?
I feel guilty (already!) because I've only been taking folic acid sprodically. Hopefully I've taken enough for bean.

4+5 I think.

Blondie87 · 15/05/2016 07:19

Oh and I'd like to to join the FB group please as I'm on one with previous MN baby friends and it's a fab source of advice but I'll wait until I get a stronger positive.
EDD 22nd January. Any DD buddies?
