Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 47th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 46th grads thread is here

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 60th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

Name there not, MW just gave me duff advice. The one thing I'm really missing is medium rare steak, no getting around that one 🙁. Am finding it a bit annoying having to ask waiters in trendy burger restaurants if they actually cook them properly 😤

SockQueen · 01/08/2016 19:55

I've had to do the same in fancy burger places, Mimi - always makes me feel like a bit of a knob!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend? I had my parents visiting, so showed them all the baby crap we've bought - they were suitably appreciative! Then in-laws also came over for lunch yesterday and we all went to see the house we're trying to buy. Just keeping fingers crossed that the mortgage goes through this time...

Starting to feel very tired at work, though they're mostly being pretty supportive. I had to do a proper emergency (GA, no time for spinal) C-section today on a lady less pregnant than I am - pretty scary experience but actually the team worked really well.

MyBlackCat · 03/08/2016 19:55

Had my 20 week scan today - it's a boy Smile unfortunately he has a potential problem with his right kidney which is enlarged so have been referred to a consultant and have an appointment the week after next. Best case scenario is that he just needed a wee as bladder was full but despite going for a walk he didn't relieve himself after a re-scan. All a bit worrying but hopefully will be ok. Nothing is straight forward is it?

NameChange30 · 03/08/2016 20:01

MyBlackCat Congrats on your little boy, I hope it's a false alarm and his kidney gets the all clear at your next scan. Can't be easy waiting though - hang on in there xx

SockQueen · 04/08/2016 22:39

Hurrah for boybee, MyBlackCat! Gx the kidney thing turns out to not be too big an issue.

How are all the doctor JS-ers finding changeover? I've stayed in the same place for the first time in 7 years, it's quite refreshing (though medical staffing didn't tell IT that I was staying on, so they disabled all my accounts yesterday and I had to jump through lots of hoops to get them re-activated!) Only 10 days of work to go now!

FuzzyOwl · 07/08/2016 17:13

Hope everything is ok MyBlackCat.

How is everyone? I'm almost 28 weeks and had a scan yesterday. Baby is currently breech but it was lovely to see her, although it meant waking her up so I don't think the feeling was reciprocated! Seeing consultant tomorrow to discuss an ELCS, so hopefully that will go well.

Still need to buy a new pram but I have a couple of newborn outfits now and after yesterday, we are both really excited about things.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

LondonGirl83 · 07/08/2016 18:08

myblack congrats on the little boy and gx its just a false alarm regarding the kidneys

I got my harmony results just over a week ago-- all low risk and we are having a girl! I thought it was a boy (for no reason) but am thrilled as I was genuinely happy with either.

12 week scan is tomorrow. I had an earlier can at around 10 weeks and there was an small umbilical hernia. The consultant thought it was just slight slow in correcting itself (apparently between 8-10 weeks all babies have umbilical hernias and between 10-12 weeks they go away).

Still, if it doesn't go away shortly, it could be a sign of something more serious so I'm quite nervous.

I'm also a bit worried about my weight loss. I've lost 10 pounds so far and my weight loss isn't stopping. I'm still quite nauseated and am just never hungry though I'm trying to ensure I get enough fluids. Did anyone else lose weight in the first trimester? I have a normal BMI though on the heavier side of normal.

FuzzyOwl · 07/08/2016 18:17

Glad the Harmony results are low and congratulations on finding out you are having a girl London. Really hope you get reassuring news tomorrow about the hernia. I've found that I have always lost weight in the first trimester and last time and this time, I started to put on weight about the half way point and I have a BMI on the low side of normal.

YogaPants · 07/08/2016 19:42

London I lost a few weight in the first trimester too as I was eating small portions. Starting from around 16 weeks, I then encountered The Hunger and wanted to eat pretty much non-stop until delivery.

Are you managing to keep fluids down? If you have lots of nausea, vomitting or if you are worried about dehydration, it is worthwhile seaking medical advice but a little weight loss first trimester is normal.

LondonGirl83 · 07/08/2016 20:21

I'm not sick very often just nauseated. I'm only concerned that its 10 pounds now and I keep losing around 1-2lbs a week even now

Still, it seems like lots of people don't gain much. I'm trying to eat more but overtime the scale just keeps dropping

Canters15 · 08/08/2016 21:04

Congrats on the boy black! Yay for team boybee! Hope all ok with the kidney.

London my lovely, I really think you ought to look into getting some antiemetics. You sound exactly as I was, it was just miserable and I'm afraid it didn't get any better for me- I was so reluctant to take meds and kept holding out for the next 'milestone' when people said it would get better. I was eventually bullied into phoning the gp at around 18 weeks by my consultant, and the relief was immense - I wouldn't hesitate to take anti emetics much sooner if I am ever pregnant again.

Sock, I am so envious of you avoiding changeover! I currently feel like a village idiot/the f1, no idea what I am doing and new job is a good bit busier then the last so I am knackered. I'd also forgotten how much I hate the notes trolley/ward round/ttos!

Hi Chat! Grin

LondonGirl83 · 09/08/2016 09:01

12 week scan went well yesterday but apparently I'm almost an inch shorter than I though. I'm not sure the wrote measurement down correctly...

FuzzyOwl · 09/08/2016 12:59

Hello and congratulations again Chat. Lovely to see you back here even if you add understanbly rocking in the corner for now. Are you having any extra monitoring or scans?

Baby is still in breech and consultant appointment this week to discuss. Hoping for an ELCS which should be quite a straightforward request if she stays in the same position.

LondonGirl83 · 09/08/2016 14:29

Chat! congratulations. How far along are you? I need to go lurk on the JSing thread. I hope there are a bunch of bfps soon.

SockQueen · 09/08/2016 20:36

Chat! Lovely to have you back here! How are you feeling? Did you get to the RMC before this appointment? Will be keeping all gx for you.

Hurray for good 12 week scan, London. Agree with Canters about getting antiemetics if you're struggling. I lost a bit of weight in 1st trimester but seriously life got so much better after I started taking the drugs.

Am kind of wishing I'd started mat leave a bit earlier, mainly so I can spend all day on the sofa watching the Olympics! As it is I'm stopping next Friday, which still feels like a long way away.

ChatEnOeuf · 10/08/2016 08:31

Thanks! Only 5+ weeks, so very early days - feeling okay so far (taking mega anxiety as standard and not abnormal at all!)

Sock I did get to RMC clinic but the short version of events was - 'you're probably just unlucky', so no additional medications, although about as many scans as I want it would appear. Seeing the consultant for scan on Weds next week so will see what occurs then...

I'll have a proper read back later. Possibly during some of today's induction lectures Wink

MyBlackCat · 10/08/2016 11:51

Great to see you on here chat gx for you.

I'm planning to start maternity leave at 38 weeks with two weeks of AL before, have an additional 4 days of al to play with too, may thanks some time in oct HT with DH (teacher) off or may do four day weeks for last month Smile

Got consultant appointment on Monday to see the kidney specialist, hopefully not too serious

NameChange30 · 10/08/2016 20:09

Is the stats sheet still going? I've just had a look and there are only 4 people on there which doesn't seem right? I'll add myself if I can...

FuzzyOwl · 10/08/2016 22:02

Four doesn't seem right NameChange but we are really low on numbers after the recent births.

SockQueen · 10/08/2016 22:40

I think the last one wasn't editable, so it's quite out of date now. Feel free to make a new one Name!

Your induction is still going, Chat? Sounds very tedious. Keeping Gx for next week's scan for you.

I've finished washing all the newborn size clothing I've bought/borrowed (mostly from ebay/friends rather than new), now I just need to find a suitable sized hospital bag and pack it!

ChatEnOeuf · 11/08/2016 08:13

Community, Sock - it's going on all week. Tedious but necessary, as I know nothing about the specialty!

Black Hope the kidney issue resolves itself. One-sided is definitely better than both sides, though, if it hasn't righted itself.

NameChange30 · 11/08/2016 10:29

I've created a new stats spreadsheet!
I've added what I can - there are 8 of us, sorry if I've missed anyone out.
Please do check it out and add any missing info (hope it's editable, it should be!)
