We're handholding for the newly graduated viroids and handing out hooyahs to badly behaved miroids. Between womble pains and boobs with veins, some of us are still managing to shag! It's JS Grads 47!

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 47th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 46th grads thread is here

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 60th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

Well done Yoga - you did brilliantly! Not impressed with them saying "we're a bit busy" when you've come in with meconium though...

I'm getting to grips with GDM-friendly eating, though not helped by having a massive curry tonight (lots of healthy stuff but also rice and naan!) Now for a relaxing weekend... Plans, anyone?

lildottie · 04/06/2016 09:15

sock rice is ok if it's brown. Brown basmati works really well for me. I too had curry last night :) no naan though 😞

As for the weekend I plan to have a baby! Though it's not showing any signs of wanting to cooperate on beating the induction so maybe I'll just chill out, get induced and do the whole birth thing next week Grin

MyBlackCat · 04/06/2016 10:58

I too had curry last night with rice and naan...

as for the weekend, I plan on having a baby wow lil how quick has that gone? Right now December seems so far away, summer hasn't even started and December is the depths of winter so can't even comprehend having a baby just yet Shock

I've just done parkrun then off to watch t20 cricket this afternoon, tomorrow when the sun is due to shine I have to work - not impressed with that Sad need to plan some naps in there too Smile

lildottie · 04/06/2016 11:08

I can't either black!! 😂 Although I eel a bit better after getting to 9 on the epi-no last night. It will go faster than you think you know. Sorry you are stuck working

SockQueen · 04/06/2016 22:26

Getting my pompoms ready for lilbean!

We went to Mothercare today to look at travel systems but they make my brain hurt. We've been offered a MaxiCosi car seat from one of my very kind consultants at work, so I'd like to get something that's compatible with that, but they didn't have the one I particularly wanted to look at. DH and I both wandered round the Bugaboo stand going "oooh, pretty...but super expensive....but pretty...!"

I've just done a Youtube pregnancy yoga session, it was way harder than my usual class! My legs are going to hate me tomorrow.

Ain626 · 05/06/2016 02:56

Eek, popped in to see how you were all doing. Can't believe you're top of the list Lil !!!!

Canters15 · 05/06/2016 09:20

Good luck today lil!!

So I had my gender scan yesterday.....boybee!! Knew it all along! Going to do some more baby shopping today to celebrate .

Sock, we cornered a lady in mother care who explained it all. We want the maxi cosi car seat too, trying to convince dh to splash out on an icandy as it can become a double buggy and I want number two pretty quickly. Silver cross and egg are both compatible too, not sure about the bugaboo but I think it is.

So i finally started taking anti sickness meds a few days ago after a particularly bad bout which had me off work, and am feeling like a new person. Finally starting to enjoy this pregnancy!

FuzzyOwl · 05/06/2016 11:38

Lovely story Yoga. When I had meconium they didn't believe me and when they checked internally, told me all they could see was the baby's hair - as DC was in breech, it definitely wasn't her head they were looking at!

Good luck today lil and looking forward to reading your story later.

KateBeckett · 05/06/2016 13:36

Congrats yoga !! And thank you- I'm hoping he's just a titch. Which is not inconceivable looking at some of his family.

Good luck today lil I have my Pom poms waving for you Grin I am also studiously ignoring the fact that when you have your lilbean I will be 1st on the stats Shock Confused

We are now frantically trying to get everything sorted before baby arrives... Baby's hospital bag is packed, mine is half done, loads of baby clothes have been washed ready... Dp and DM insist all the blankets and muslins need washing too Sad which will take forever!! Dp is madly sorting out the shelves in the living room so we can paint them, the pram is sorted... So why am I still feeling vastly unprepared?! Grin Confused I have 2 more weeks at work before maternity leave (can't wait!!) but consultant said they may induce me 1/2 weeks early, so I guess I'm feeling he pressure of getting everything sorted before I even start maternity leave, just in case!

On the plus side, I think we've decided on his name. It's not my favourite, but it has better nickname potential than my favourite and it is one I suggested in the first place! Dp said he keeps coming back to that one and can't really imagine using our other potential choice...

sock the pushchair choice really stressed me out for ages! We ended up going with a travel system (armadillo flip from mamas and papas) because the prettiest pattern was also the cheapest, and it is really easy to fold!!

canters I'm glad you got some anti-emetics and can start enjoying your pregnancy more! Morning sickness is the pits Envy

pee who is your NCT lady? Is it KR? I agree it is a bit odd to practice the birth positions in a room full of other couples!! A few of us had a good giggle at my nct when we were doing that Grin
Have you had your breast feeding session yet? The bf support woman who did ours basically said its fine to drink a glass of something when bf-ing as long as you time it right, and that we dont need to pump and dump. She wasn't really into expressing in general though... But tbh I'd quite like to be able to have a night off at the weekend for Dp to do the night feeds!!

AnotherRubberDuck · 05/06/2016 14:29

Thinking of you today Lil can't wait to hear the news!
I remember the Ian Mcshane talk! Still don't know who he is though

I guess there's no old wives tales about swamp foof and boy/girl predictions what with them all being massive prudes I had almost no pant snot during my last pregnancy (boy), but this time around, my goodness, I need a bucket! So I'm thinking girl. Less sickness this time round too.

sock pregnancy yoga youtube session?! Sounds intriguing, explain?

canters how are you far along enough to be gender scan time?! Funny how time flies thinking of everyone else but seems to drag for yourself!

I have my dating scan next Friday gx for a heartbeat - I'm really quite pessimistically worrying.

lildottie · 05/06/2016 14:49

Hi all. Pessary in. Nothing happening. Bored.....

KateBeckett · 05/06/2016 15:09

Hmmm not sure duck - I'm having a boybee and am swamp foof central!!

Gx something kicks off soon lil !!

SockQueen · 05/06/2016 19:41

Duck - I didn't have a yoga class this week because of half term, so thought I'd DIY! Just search for "pregnancy yoga" on YouTube and there are loads of vids you can follow. Good luck for your scan!

Kate, Canters - it turns out that there's an "expectant parents event" at our local Mothercare next week, so I plan to trot along to that and get some advice before splashing the cash. Also just booked a long weekend in Madeira in a couple of weeks!

YogaPants · 05/06/2016 23:32

Go Lil! Star

You sound ready Kate. Washing will almost certainly continue once your baby is here so you can only get so much ahead. We made a list of everything to pack on the day in my hospital bag which was very helpful.

Glad you got an anti-emetic, canters and can start to enjoy your pregnancy.

justtheonethen · 06/06/2016 13:26

Waving Pom Poms for lil.....eek!

KateBeckett · 06/06/2016 21:14

Any news lil ?

CarrotPuff · 07/06/2016 12:49

Must be a baby by now!

MyBlackCat · 07/06/2016 18:24

lil hope everything is ok x

Today I had a 'pregnancy' incident that probably not be the last Shock

Basically I pissed myself at 13 weeks what the fuck will I be like at 33 weeks? went to the toilet, did my wee, or so I thought then went to pull my trousers up, except the message hadn't left my brain and I continued to wee - over my pale pink work trousers. It did not look good. Fortunately it was my wee before leaving work so I was able to wrap my cardigan around my waist and make a swift exit covering the worst of the evidence Shock

It's only going to get worse isn't it? Must work on my pelvic floor exercises.

lildottie · 07/06/2016 21:08

I started writing this last night but got distracted by something. But here you go...

I have a boybee! Born 12.33pm yesterday weighing 6lb 15ozs.

Birth story - I went in for induction at 12.30pm on Sunday. After initial CTG I had pessary at 1.45pm and we headed out for a wander. Nothing much happened until about 7.30pm when I started getting periody cramps really low in my pelvis. Had another CTG about 10pm which seemed to show some contractions were starting to happen. I could feel them at top of bump with the monitor belt pushing against me but once monitor was off I just had the bad cramps low down. By 3am I was getting really crampy and it was worsening in waves. I had a lot of back pain (which I'm still not sure wasnt the crap bed!) And was going between lying down, pacing the corridor and sitting on the birthing ball. By 4 I asked to go on the monitor, partly to calm my anxiety about baby but I was also hoping to see contractions on it. The bloody thing wasn't picking them up but mw said he (yes he) could definitely feel them! I could still only feel it as cramps. By 6 I was getting regular contractions and had an exam. 4-5cm dilated without anything, not even paracetamol. I was taken down to delivery and called dh in. Had a moment of tears when I got into the delivery room, just couldn't believe I was there after all this time! Dh arrived and I ended up in a position on my side just breathing through it all. Contractions were getting stronger and more frequent but by 9am they were slowing. I was examined at 9.30am and was still 4-5cm so they broke my waters. I was then a good 5cm and the contractions quickly got mega intense as loads of pressure in both my cervix and my bum! I tried gas and air for about 3 breaths but couldn't stand it. Really didn't want oramorph, diamorphine or epidural so I found a way to get through it just squeezing Dhs hand when contractions started and breathing through it. Baby went back to back at one point so I stuck to being on my left side and thankfully he did turn back to the right position. 2hours after waters were broken I was examined again and mws were shocked I was fully dilated and cervix was all gone out the way. I pushed for a total of 48minutes. Pushing was so much harder than I expected. He was getting slightly distressed with the pushes so I knew I had to get on with it despite how tired I was. I could tell he wasn't coming down as fast as they would like. One mw had suggested changing to a squat position but it didn't happen so I raised it again. Instinct took over and I just knew I had to find a way to get him out quickly (And avoid forceps!). After changing to the squat position he was out with about 4 more contractions. They delivered him onto my chest and I just stared at the mw in shock. We had delayed cord clamping until it stopped pulsating at about 15mins and I got to have my natural 3rd stage. Placenta delivered about 30mins after he did. I got away with 2 minor tears at front, one with 2 stitches, and a graze at the back but an intact perinaeum! So pleased I coped without the drugs. I really didn't want the spaced out feeling of the oramorph or diamorphine and you all know my thoughts on epidural, though I'd be lying if I said I hadn't considered it!

Can't believe I'm finally a mummy!

KateBeckett · 07/06/2016 21:50

Eek! Congratulations lil Grin Flowers how big did he turn out to be? Hope you are all recovering well! X

Shit that means I'm top of the stats now!!

Had midwife appointment today... She didn't measure me as I'm having all the growth scans ha! But did have a feel and said she thought babybeckett is breech. Yeesh. She also booked my next midwife appointment and said 'we'll book it early in the morning because I think you'll be phoning to cancel- I reckon you'll have had him by then.'

So later when I picked dp up from work I had a massive hormonal meltdown and cried all over him. I'm worried about needing a c section, it just seems like a really scary thing right now.. Plus the fact I should have at least 4 more weeks to prepare and it's looking more and more like we won't have that and I'm panicking in general about impending motherhood.
Feck knows how people who do this by accident feel!

I just don't feel ready for the little dude yet... It all feels really rushed and panicked and scary Sad and then I feel bad because I know we're actually in an OK position, there isn't anything wrong with the baby apart from being small and other people have much scarier, more rushed and more panicked introductions to parenthood... My brain feels like a sack of spoons!

blackcat sorry, but that story just made me giggle! Better invest in some tena lady!

SockQueen · 07/06/2016 22:28

Hurray lil! Huge congratulations on your boybee! Star Hope you're home soon, if not already.

Kate I think all the panic is normal. Nobody's really ready for it! Hope that BabyBeckett turns for you, but if not (and if vaginal breech delivery isn't an option) I can talk you through what to expect for an elective section. They're genuinely one of my favourite operations!

It's my birthday today, which means 1)GTT in the morning - still awaiting results and 2)Spent the rest of the day being looked after (and fed, a LOT) by DH. Meant to go out for a walk this evening but it's been pouring since about 4pm, with a cracking thunderstorm earlier. Lovely and relaxing overall!

ChatEnOeuf · 07/06/2016 22:45

Congrats, Lil. So pleased for you x

CarrotPuff · 07/06/2016 23:51

Yay, congrats lil!

Happy birthday Sock!

honeysucklejasmine · 08/06/2016 02:03

Lovely birth story Lil, so so pleased for you. You superstar.

fruitlovingmonkey · 08/06/2016 02:19

Huuuuuge congrats lil and all the high fives for breezing through labour without drugs! Hope you are enjoying newborn snuggles.
Also big congrats to Yoga, another great birth story. My advice is to make sure you look after yourself. It's easy to forget and focus on baby. A regular fanjo airing did a lot of good for my stitches, although mine are internal rather than perineum but it's probably the same.
pee I remember the womble conker, it was in my hospital bag!
Kate you'll be fine! Try not to worry.
