We're handholding for the newly graduated viroids and handing out hooyahs to badly behaved miroids. Between womble pains and boobs with veins, some of us are still managing to shag! It's JS Grads 47!

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 47th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 46th grads thread is here

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 60th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

black I'm so happy for you. I cried when they said all was ok at 12wk scan . It's such an emotional moment. Really am chuffed for you

lildottie · 31/05/2016 23:23

Sorry Kate must have cross posted or not refreshed! What a worrying time for you! Glad subsequent scan was better.

I think bump measurement is purely to do with being measured by a different midwife today and baby being engaged so bump different shape. Being induced this Sunday at 38+5! Can't believe how close it is now!

On the plus side, if you do get induced, you don't have that extra two weeks past due date to face! That's what I'm telling myself anyway!

Peenut · 01/06/2016 10:43

Oh wow, this Sunday Lil! Hope you are enjoying your last days of freedom by taking ages to do everything, napping and nipping out for coffee! Admires fanjo bunting fluttering in the breeze!

That's good news that you are already 1cm! Your body will totally be ready by Sunday and I'm sure all will go excellently for you.

Sounds like a stressful time Kate but that's reassuring the latest doctor thinks BB is just a petite wee thing! Also, I can't believe you are so close to your due date! Yeeek! The urge to barf in the banana isle seems like just yesterday! Fingers crossed you have an uneventful couple of weeks and can get some relaxing time in –have you finished work now?

NCT is going well, the other couples seem nice and there are a few I've had a good chat to. I think it's just good to have a couple of hours where the main focus is preparing together, rather than me reading passages out of the birthing book to DH while he looks out of the window! It's a bit cringy at times but the teacher is good at getting people to talk. Not sure about her making us practise birthing positions ... there is one couple who are very nice and also very touchy feely with each other who have got into actually practising the birthing positions while the rest of us laugh at the diagrams on the wall of ladies squatting and hanging off door frames.

DH assembled the drawers with changing area table on the top last night (queue screams and swear words). We had a changing table opening ceremony by topping it with a changing mat – may all bottoms who are cleaned on her be happy and well!

Great news Black! What a relief, hope all continues to go well for you! Seriously, Kate is right, 12 week scan seems like last week!

Hoping Zyla is Ok too?

ZylaB · 01/06/2016 12:09

Ladies, I'm bowing out. I lost the baby yesterday at 8+4.
I wish you all healthy and happy pregnancies and little ones.

lildottie · 02/06/2016 09:00

So this morning my house is clean and there are very few jobs left on the to do list. I'm ready to have this baby now, come on lilbean! Lunch with a friend then scan this afternoon to check it hasn't shrunk as my bump measurements suggest Hmm

Peenut · 02/06/2016 11:41

Yay! Nesting complete Lil ... baby can sense that I'm sure, come on now Lil Bean! Eat somethings spicy/pineapple based for lunch!

Just been to see the lovely midwife ... so pleased I swapped doctors! All OK on the baby Peanut front currently. I asked if it's normal to feel even more like an emotional wreck at 34 weeks than I previously have, midwife said your body is preparing to feel immense surges of love for your child so with that comes a rollercoaster of heightened emotion! EG: weeping in M&S while looking at baby grows, reenacting disaster scenarios in my head, that sort of thing.

Feel a bit bad, I think I got the nice sonographer at the hospital who did my placenta location scan a few weeks ago into trouble – she'd told me I could work out an estimated birth weight form the measurements on my growth scan. I asked the midwife how exactly this was done not realising the sonographer shouldn't have told me that. Midwife wasn't very happy I'd been told such info and told me not to google stuff like that! She asked about it again today so I think the it's being followed up back at the hospital – whoops!

MimiDiddy · 02/06/2016 16:21

Zyla so sorry hun Flowers

FuzzyOwl · 02/06/2016 20:11

How many couples are in your NCT group Peenut?

lildottie · 02/06/2016 21:01

pee all my scans have listed an estimated weight. Today for example 6lb 1oz! Can't be that bad! They do say it's not accurate though

YogaPants · 03/06/2016 00:24

First a catchup:

lil things are happening fast. Not many days left until you can meet your little one.

zyla so sorry Flowers

kate gx that he is just a little guy and the follow up scan don't throw up anything else suspicious.

YogaPants · 03/06/2016 01:05

Second: a birth story

I started feeling some regularity in the twinges I was getting on Saturday evening. Started to time them and they were only lasting 30s 7 minutes apart. Continued rewatching xfiles (ironically the one where Gillian Anderson was on maternity leave so Mulder slept with a vampire). Contract through out the night. Long bath between 2 and 4 am. This was nice. No sleep. Less
Nice.

Call hospital at 11:30 am when contractions are roughly 3 minutes apart and last a minute. Hospital says it is much too soon, take a paracetamol and have a bath. I follow their advice. Bath #2 also nice but I wear myself out flipping between positions each contraction. Moan and scream in one of my NCT positions kneeling at foot of
bed the rest of the afternoon. (Don't knock the positions, until you've tried them pee).

6pm begin getting frustrated. Contractions are further apart than earlier. Decide to go on a walk with DH to get things started. Before we get out the door my waters break. There is meconium. Rush to hospital, where I am told they are a bit busy. I am monitored and baby seems happy but my co traction a are only 5-7 minutes apart. The midwife talks about putting me on a hormone drip to get things happening. I turn down pain relief and begin thinking I am up for another long night. Begin to think, how much worse can they get. At some point lose atheist principles and behin cursing Jesus Christ and
God each contraction.

2 hours pass before a midwife comes to give me a sweep. She sets me up with gas and air, and jumps back shocked to find out I am ten centimetres dilated. No time for pain relief, I am instructed to push. Pushing is hard and painful and I am told to not use gas and air as it is distracting. By the end I can't even feel the contractions. I can, however, feel myself tearing. This is not fun.

Baby Yoga, a girl bee, is born in the early hours of bank holiday Monday morning, 8lb 10oz. She is a little milk monster and apart from sore stitches and sore nipples we are both doing very well.

MimiDiddy · 03/06/2016 08:18

Yoga congratulations on the arrival of your little girl! Your post prompted me to read about tears on NCT website, a terrible idea whilst having morning sickness. Glad to hear you're milk monster is doing very well though!

lildottie · 03/06/2016 09:20

Congratulations yoga!! What a birth story! Like you cared how busy they were!

Um so this makes me top of the list!! Come on lilbean it's your turn now!

Peenut · 03/06/2016 09:23

Congrats Yoga! Lovely to hear your little girl-bee is doing well! This seems to happen a lot, midwives saying that it's to early to come in/you can't be fully dilated etc only to find that you were very ready to go in!

Ouch, in my land of fairies and unicorns I like to think that in the throws of everything else the feeling of tearing miraculously just can't be felt! Like ooooh, that smarts a bit, rather than –ARGHHHHH!! Rushes online to buy epi-no-no-no-NOOOOO!

I know that people do still tear after using it but I suppose it's reassuring what people have said about getting used to the sensation of ... 'stretching' pushing water melon through usually normal sized v-j-j which basically seems impossible.

Defo think I'll be swinging from doors/hanging off window frames etc when it comes to it!

Hope you are enjoying your little bundle of loveliness and the nips/fanjo get better soon, all worth it for a perfect package :) Well done!! BiscuitBiscuit

Come on Lil Bean! Evokes the power of the Womble Conker off the undergrads fred if anyone else remembers that?!

Lil – I had an estimated baby weight from that scan at that date but the sonographer was saying there was some sort of online calculator where you could put in all the measurements and get a predicted birth weight ... which apparently ruffled the midwifes feathers as it is so notoriously unpredictable!

Friday – ARGGGH! Fridays keep coming to quickly and I have s**t loads of work to do before I can finish work in a few weeks. Finish work. WEIRD! I can't imagine not being at work! Note to self, I will be doing a different job full time for a while.

lildottie · 03/06/2016 11:56

Ahh I see pee. Sonographer told me they add about 1/2lb a week, and that seems to coincide with movement from one scan to the next soo....I think ur mw is overreacting a lot bit

I remember the womble conker bows to it in hope and desperation

Anyone remember Ian mcshane being dubbed mascot though?

FeatheredTail · 03/06/2016 16:37

I had an episiotomy but avoided the tear pee - luck of the drawer I think/pick your poison!! I hadn't heard of oromorph either - it's taken orally as a liquid. Mmmmmm. Happy drugs. Like I said - does bugger all for pain, but made me a much smilier person.

lil I'm so excited for you!! I was hoping something might have happened by now - I can't wait to hear your good news. 1cm is really positive!

yoga - absolute star. I think I would have died without my epidural. Hope the tear is healing ok.

FeatheredTail · 03/06/2016 16:38

Oh Zyla I am so so sorry....sending love. X
