We're handholding for the newly graduated viroids and handing out hooyahs to badly behaved miroids. Between womble pains and boobs with veins, some of us are still managing to shag! It's JS Grads 47!

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 47th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 46th grads thread is here

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 60th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

cats 31 years agoy mum was 3 months pg with me and discovered she had malignant melanoma on her leg. She spent most of her pregnancy in hospital and had alot of her leg carved out and gradts from other parts of her leg pit over it. She was since told that these days it would be been minor outpatient surgery. 31years on she is completely cancer free and was released from hospital check up care when I was around 15 and I've never had any problems or been told I have any increased risk of getting cancer myself. Hope that helps

Catscatsandmorecats · 15/04/2016 13:11

Oh lil that is a lovely story, and brought a tear to my eye! From what I understood of the investigations they do now, I thought none of it was pregnancy friendly, you have given me a bit of relief from the terror. Thank you so much.

Sky and 5hell I hope you are both feeling even better now.

MyBlackCat · 15/04/2016 14:58

I think it's all hitting me - sat at my desk at work barely able to function. I want to go home and sleep and writing this is making me want to cry. What the hell is happening too me Shock I've got two meetings this afternoon, am staying overnight and have to present on a course all day tomorrow. How did people get through this???

ZylaB · 15/04/2016 17:31

Hi guys, I'm lurking from grads grads. cats I had a wide excision on my forearm because of a dodgy mole that was a malignant melanoma. It doesn't look pretty but it means they got all the cancer. As lil said it was an outpatient procedure done under local and has left me with a 6inch scar and a slightly dodgy shaped arm...but no more cancer. I just have to go every 3 months for lymph node and skin checks.

Don't worry about it until your results come in, it may well be fine, but if it isn't they know what they're doing and don't tend to ever need chemo etc for skin cancer as long as it hadn't spread to the lymph system. Good luck!

lildottie · 15/04/2016 17:56

Glad you have recovered from that well zyla, and good to hear from you.

black it's a fucking nightmare trying to keep it together in the early days. You spend half your day in the loo on knicker watch and the other half just staring into space filled with terror and dread wondering if it will all work out. It's hard but the best thing to do is keep busy. Hopefully you've got through today somehow and can now enjoy a weekend off. Plan something enjoyable but relaxing and try to remember the mantra. Flowers

How are you doing sky?

Had a scan today and all is well with lilbean. Still a small bubba in 13th centile. Saw the face so clearly, we could see it's eye moving and shutting, it's mouth opening and tongue coming out. It was just incredible. I still can't believe there is a baby inside me....or that its coming out in roughly 7 weeks and 4 days!!

MyBlackCat · 15/04/2016 19:12

Survived my meetings although it was noted that I was tired and snappy Shock now to survive dinner before I can sleep, hope I fell better for tomorrow's presentations - it's going to be a loooong day Sad

YogaPants · 15/04/2016 19:56

I found the tiredness at the beginning quite difficult too Black and found the best way to deal with it was to reduce my expectations of what I could do outside of work as much as possible.

Hope you are feeling better Sky. Are your parents coming early for their visit to help you out? If you do feel better, try to take it easy for a while.

Yay, for a happy scan Lil! I can't believe how fast it's gone by for us now in our third trimesters.

Mermaid36 · 15/04/2016 21:50

Sorry all, I appear to have queue jumped everyone. Twins born tonight by c-section at 26+1....whizzed into NICU. I'm in delivery suite just recovering...

justtheonethen · 15/04/2016 21:55

mermaid congratulations! How are the twins? StarStar

Mermaid36 · 15/04/2016 21:59

Very tiny! We're just waiting on being told it's ok to see them. Both did a little cry when born, so that cheered me up.

KateBeckett · 15/04/2016 22:03

Hope you get to see them soon mer xx

lildottie · 15/04/2016 22:07

Oh wow mer!! Hope they are both doing well in nicu and grow big and strong without any hiccups along the way.

yoga it's mad isn't it. I'm going to be a mummy in 7 and a half weeks tops!

Having a gd related melt down tonight. Aggghghh

SockQueen · 15/04/2016 23:44

Congratulations Mermaid! Hope they get on well in NICU and that you aren't too sore. Keep us updated whenever you can.

Training course was good, useful scenarios and handy to get to know a few more of the midwives. Wink And my group won the teamwork exercise so we are officially the best at putting up tents blindfolded!

Catscatsandmorecats · 16/04/2016 04:05

Mer Congratulations! You sound amazingly with it for being in recovery, very impressive. Hope you and the twins are doing well and that you have been able to see them.

Zyla thank you so much, and it is so great to hear you are OK now. may I ask how they checked your lymph system while you were pregnant? That's the bit that is worrying me at the moment, yes, I know I shouldn't think about it until I get the results. Its not being helped my work friend's husband having a mole removed that the Doctors thought was fine then turned out to be malignant. I was very aware of his investigations and treatment. They took a sizable chunk out around my mole which is good, there will be a fair scar but it seems to be healing OK at this point. Hopefully even if it is bad news, they have got all of it.

ZylaB · 16/04/2016 10:12

cats I didn't go and have it looked at when it changed, I went after I had the baby...only had the biopsy done just before Christmas! But the lymph checks are just them feeling the nodes to see if any are swollen. I have to do the same to check, so for you it'd mostly be the ones in your groin I expect. For me it's mainly my armpit :) so obviously this is no issue when pregnant. I was offered a lymph node biopsy but at my local hospitals they don't really recommend it..it can show if the cancer has spread to the nodes, but only tells you for that particular time, it doesn't mean it wouldn't spread there in the future, and has possible side effects. It also has to be done under a general...my consultant said it was up to me but when I said I wasn't going to have it he said he thought that was the right thing, because regular lymph node checks by having a feel pick it up anyway!

Just to warn you, if it is malignant they tend to advise taking a lot of extra skin from around it as a sort of safety zone because it can go through the skin and they've found removing more can help prevent it recurring. So they took a diamond about 6inches by 4inches from my forearm and then pulled it all together.

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 16/04/2016 13:20

Congrats mer! Hope that you can spend time with your babies soon.

cats you've done the right thing. Try not to focus on what ifs for now... It could easily be just fine.

lil it's a bastard some days isn't it? Flowers

I am back at home on bed rest. My mastitis has visibly cleared and my inflammation markers are down so they let me come home to sleep. They wanted me to try more antibiotics before I went but the risk of another anaphylactic reaction is too great for me. I don't know if I could have coped with another crash like the ones I had. So hoping against hope that the sepsis and/or mastitis don't return. I have to do my temperature regularly at home and go in if I feel unwell at all. Also due for a follow up scan tomorrow and a check up on Day Unit on Monday. Family arrives on Monday. They will be jetlagged and staying in Central so not sure when I will see them but definitely on Tuesday. Can't wait Smile

Hope you all have lovely weekend plans

justtheonethen · 16/04/2016 13:41

Glad you are home Sky and you continue to improve!

lildottie · 16/04/2016 23:16

Hi all. Thanks for the birthday wishes just and cats. Survived the day despite the la k of treats, though hardest but was after tea at my mum's (which she had made gd friendly for me) everyone sat eating chocolate cream eclairs, which I love! Rude!

Got a lovely tiny tatty teddy "mummy" mug and "baby" sippy cup set. My favourite present! It's so cute.

CountryGal4 · 17/04/2016 08:35

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 17/04/2016 09:55

lil have you tried the brownies from the members area of the GD website? They are fab! I also thought the lemon cheesecake looked delicious

MyBlackCat · 17/04/2016 17:38

Congratulations mer hope all is ok. Happy birthday lil and country Smile

I did a body pump class this morning, I have been having short sharp stabby pains on my right side just in my ovary region. Can anyone reassure me that I've not done anything stupid?

5hell · 17/04/2016 17:54

black I did pump until 39w and all was fine. I do recall having some ovary twinges early on too, which is probably unrelated to pump. As long as u don't go mad/don't up your weights/are carefull of your back/avoid innapropriate ab exercises etc you'll be grand :)
