We're handholding for the newly graduated viroids and handing out hooyahs to badly behaved miroids. Between womble pains and boobs with veins, some of us are still managing to shag! It's JS Grads 47!

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 47th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 46th grads thread is here

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 60th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

Happy bday lil and Country!

Black the bean is snuggled quite deep in your pelvis at this stage, it's probably random pg pains and twinges. It's very common and normal.

We've done first pp shag today! Need to sort out contraception ASAP, SPD from last pregnancy is still too fresh in my memory to be going through it again so soon!

Catscatsandmorecats · 17/04/2016 19:49

Happy Birthday Country Cake

MyBlackCat · 17/04/2016 20:04

Wow you did pump til 39wks 5hell? I really struggled today at 7wks and that was with reduced weights. I had a two hour nap this afternoon to recover Shock

Thanks for the reassurance, I'm pretty paranoid about it all going wrong.

lildottie · 17/04/2016 20:54

black the guidance is that if you are doing exercises you usually do then it's OK, just don't take up anything new. I was told not to swim though due to infection risk. On first ivf I only had to not swim for a few days post trf, 2ns time until 12weeks, I think due to previous mc. Just throwing it out there iyswim.

5hell you are bloody hardcore doing body pump until 39weeks!!

country happy birthday! We were so nearly birthday twins! Hope you are my share of cake!

sky I haven't signed up for recipes yet dh is a tight ass and telling me there must be plenty of free recipes on the net might do this week though. Our of interest what sbavks sis you put in your hospital bag to keep your sugars under control?

mer hope all is OK.

Finally saw my boobs leaking last night....wierd!

Mermaid36 · 18/04/2016 06:52

Hiya - I'm ok thanks. My section recovery is going well, but I keep being told off for doing too much (ie walking etc up to NICU where the girls are). I've started to express using a pump and have got a few ml of colostrum over the weekend. We're just trying to get our heads round what happens next - the girls are going to be in for several months (probably until their due date) and we've got a long road of recovery ahead.

I might drop off the Fred a bit cos my head is a mess, but I am reading and gx-ing for everyone and their bumps!

Canters15 · 18/04/2016 07:44

Bloody hell mer!! Congrats on the birth of your daughters. I hope you are recovering OK from the section and am sure NICU are doing a wonderful job of caring for your girls. Not surprised your heads a mess, do take care of yourself.

sky I'm glad you're on the mend!

I'm 9w today and think sickness is starting to ease off a bit. Has been replaced by monster fatigue though! I was away this weekend visiting DH in the country he is working in and basically spent most of the weekend asleep in the hotel room. I'm such a fun person these days!

YogaPants · 18/04/2016 09:27

Glad you are recovering Mer. Listen to the hospital staff and take it easy. It is ok if your head is in a spin at the moment. A lot has changed in the past week.

Dh and I had a successful visit to a nearly new sale this weekend and managed to pick up a few deals on big ticket items (Moses basket, night monitor and bouncer). I probably could have spent a good few hours pawing my way through all the cute second hand clothing but by then we were running out of cash and decided to call it a day.

First NCT class tonight. I'm looking forward to it.

fruitlovingmonkey · 18/04/2016 10:23

Happy birthdays to Lil and Country!
Lil I hope your DH is also doing the GD diet if he doesn't want you to sign up for recipes Wink
Take it easy Mer can't imagine what you are going through but the strain on your body and hormones must be huge.
Yay for bargains Yoga.
Just went to look around the hospital. Met a lovely midwife but when I told her my due date she assumed I meant May. Not sure whether to be flattered or worried. Got an appointment on Thurs so I guess I'll see how the little squirt is growing then.

Happy birthday lil and Country! Cake

Yoga I went to an NCT sale at the weekend too! Didn't get many big items, but picked up quite a few clothes, a play mat, a feeding pillow and some towels. Lots more to get, but I feel like it's still too early to spend too much money.

lildottie · 18/04/2016 18:06

Hi all

yoga let me know how NCT goes, our first one is Wednesday

fruit ha! He sits eating all the things I like but can't have between meals. He eats same main meals as me though. I currently have him cooking my tea whilst I'm slibbed on sofa refusing to move!

mer we're all here if you need anything. Do try to take it easy though, surely you can get a wheelchair to go up to nicu?

YogaPants · 18/04/2016 18:12

We didn't start buying anything until we reached 28 weeks which means that there have been some big spends in the past month. My bank balance highly appreciates the nearly new sale. Smile I think picking up clothes you like secondhand when you can also saves you feeling like you need to panic buy new clothes closer to the date.

My SIL (who I get along with well) broke up with her boyfriend of 1.5 years over the weekend because he told her he never wanted to have children. She is in her early 30s and they got along well as a couple. We are seeing her next weekend and I feel quite bad for her especially as I am very obviously pregnant at the moment so babies are more than likely to come up in conversation Sad.

lildottie · 18/04/2016 19:05

Oh your poor sil yoga. IMO she has totally done the right thing. I imagine she feels like the click is ticking but not everyone becomes barren the second they hit 35 as the papers would have us believe. My ovarian reserve at 30 was well above average. Hopefully seeing you will help her through it, and the pregnancy will be a positive affirmation for her.

I missed our NCT sale, but tbh we don't need anything. I had so much handed down from family we just bought a few bits we wanted to buy and bought a new car seat.

SockQueen · 18/04/2016 20:00

Yeah, I probably wouldn't have started shopping yet otherwise, but it was just down the road from PiLs' house so they invited us (first grandchild on both sides of the family so I have lots of excited relatives buzzing around!)

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 18/04/2016 21:09

Flowers mer you've just been through a lot. Take it easy on yourself.

lil I packed oatcakes, cheese strings, SF jelly, chorizo bites, low salt biltong, my own GD friendly bread, peanut butter, nuts, sugar free sweets and made DP get me cooked breakfasts from the cafe.

lildottie · 18/04/2016 21:39

Thanks sky, I've copied that into a note on my phone to refer to later :)

YogaPants · 18/04/2016 23:06

It must be hard watching your dp eat food you can't eat Lil. Sounds like you need to get stock up on Sky's suggestions.

If I had people pass me secondhand goods I wouldn't have been so keen on the sale but unfortunately most of my friend's and family with children are in Canada so in some ways this felt like my one chance other than new.

NCT was probably more helpful for my DH than me because I have spent too much time on mumsnet reading other people's birth stories however, it was good in that it provoked discussion between us on what to expect. The facilitator was also good at not pushing birth preferences on us. I think I have to wait and see how we get along with the other couples as we were all a bit awkward at the first session which may change as we get to know each other better.

FeatheredTail · 19/04/2016 08:38

Hello all

I have massively dropped off the thread since last week. Hope everyone is well......Mer you're doing amazingly well. Keep on trucking and be kind to yourself.

Yoga your poor SIL - how hard for her. Must be the hardest kind of break up if you're still in love. A friend went through something similar - she was hoping he would change his mind but he didn't.....best decision she made.

I really liked NCT - like you Yoga I knew a lot of the content already (because I procrastinate on mumsnet) but it was nice to actually discuss it with a group and DH. The first session was awkward too - but we powered through! Our group are lovely and we all meet up and have a group whatsapp (whatsapp is gender segregated naturally!).

Lil I hope you had a lovely birthday.

I've had a stressful few days. The baby keeps moving A LOT. It was breech a week ago then a scan confirmed it had moved head down. I went in for monitoring on Sunday night and it had moved to transverse. Then yesterday midwife thought it was still transverse but wanted another scan and a hospital midwife to confirm. Scan appeared head down but the hospital midwife didn't even feel my tummy.

I'm stressed out and don't know who/what to believe. I'm worried it's transfer still - movement is at either side of my abdomen and it doesn't feel engaged/head in pelvis. If I'm going to need a section I want to know sooner rather than later. I'm almost 37 weeks and am not going to be mentally prepared if it moves again and I get booked in before 40 weeks. Also really scared of going into labour naturally if it is indeed transverse - massive risks.

Sigh.

Anyway. Moan over. Hospital bag pretty much packed, baby furniture arrived from IKEA and baby room being decorated by handyman as I type! Should be set up and looking pretty by the weekend!

fruitlovingmonkey · 19/04/2016 09:54

That's a tough decision for your SIL Yoga but has to be the right one if they want such different things. Hopefully becoming an auntie will reinforce that it was the right call.
Hmmm hospital bag snacks, I definitely don't have enough packed. Tea would be ashamed of me.
Sounds stressful Feathered, I would trust the scan above all else, although they really should have had a feel too.
How are you getting on with the epi no? I am up to 7cms now, I think if I make it to 8 before the birth I will be much more confident. Have also been doing perineal massage with oil straight after each epi no session and it feels amazing after the stinging sensation.

OP posts:
FeatheredTail · 19/04/2016 10:22

No food in my hospital bag! Knew I had forgotten something!

Fruit - I've had the handyman in the house the past two days so no Eli-no practice...oops. So far I'm only up to 5cm. Well done on 7cm! I think transitioning from over 5cm will be hard....not looking forward to it. I am really struggling to see how I will avoid a tear to be honest. I might get some perineal massage oil and get in on that too!

FeatheredTail · 19/04/2016 10:23

*epi

YogaPants · 19/04/2016 10:43

DH and I agree with you and think SIL made the right decision. As painful as it is now, it would be a lot harder to take if it happened a few more years down the line.

Fruit what snacks do you currently have packed? I've also made a hospital bag asda order for the weekend.

Feathered it sounds stressful worrying about baby's position. Babies can still change position quite a bit up to birth so there are many possibilities for change for the better or worse. Have you been doing any exercises on all fours as that is supposed to encourage a head down position?

Catscatsandmorecats · 19/04/2016 12:44

Had the NHS scan this morning, there was no heartbeat and the embryo was measuring smaller than last week. Because my other scan was private they have to scan me again in a week for an NHS comparison to confirm then want to do a procedure to terminate and gather some samples before referring me to the recurrent miscarriage clinic.

I'll probably go quiet for a while.

Good luck all you lovely viriods.

MyBlackCat · 19/04/2016 13:32

cats I'm so so sorry, there are no words. Look after yourself as best you can x

YogaPants · 19/04/2016 13:51

Cats Flowers. Terrible news. I'm so sorry. Take care of yourself.

ChatEnOeuf · 19/04/2016 14:54

Oh Cats Flowers. I'm sorry, it's just so unfair. I hope you have someone there with you to look after you. The recurrent miscarriage board here has a lively Facebook group that I've just joined - if you want to come over, they seem like a lovely gang.
