I should want chips - massive migraine this morning and deep fried spud is always my go to food afterwards but I just don't fancy anything from about 10 till 4. Apart from s & v chipsticks. I always want them Grin

MoreCakeMoreCake · 09/04/2016 14:31

I'm on board! Vinegar soaked chip shop chips in a butty and can of cold Sprite. Now stuffed but it was so worth it.

jamjar I could murder one of those takeaway warm cookies from Papa Johns!

Have realised that 90% of my inane chatter is about food Blush

likeawestern · 09/04/2016 14:54

cake that actually sounds very appealing now the chip shop is shut till 5!! Typical!
Food chatter is understandable - it's so difficult atm, though after the aibu about pregnancy restrictions thread I need baked Camembert!!

Canters15 · 09/04/2016 14:58

Had my scan, baby measuring perfectly with my dates and a good strong heart beat! Very happy!!

simbrain · 09/04/2016 15:03

Hello everyone,

I'm 8 weeks pg with my third LO. Still don't really believe it as my symptoms are rather vague still. So I thought I'd join in to try & make it feel a bit more real :)

MoreCakeMoreCake · 09/04/2016 15:09

Welcome simbrain and congrats!

canters that's great news - how far along are you?

FuzzyOwl · 09/04/2016 15:16

7+5 which was what I thought Smile

Canters15 · 09/04/2016 15:26

Thanks fuzzy. Really glad I went for it now.

Beelzebubble · 09/04/2016 15:33

knock knock Can I come in? I am 10+2 today. This is my 6th pregnancy but only have one child. This one was conceived through IVF. I'm a nervous wreck and even though I've had 7 scans so far, it still doesn't seem real! It started out as a twin pregnancy but one didn't develop past 5ish weeks. The other one is going strong...at least I hope it still is!

I've nausea some days. Looooads of cramping an plenty of spotting. I'm on crinone progesterone gel til 12 weeks and innohep injections til 14 weeks and will switch to asprin them.

I've also put on about a stone, mainly cos, well, toast and butter. I'm telling myself it's bloat from all the meds Wink

BeedlesPineNeedles · 09/04/2016 15:42

Fab news canters does it feel a bit more real now?

Hi simbrain

beezlebubble fingers crossed that this one is a sticky bean. How are you getting on with the crinone, I've had it with a couple of earlier ivf attempts but luckily this time I've got a different progesterone that's less lumpy!

likeawestern · 09/04/2016 15:42

Great news Canters!

Welcome simbrain and beelzebubble. Hope everything goes ok for both of you. Beelzebubble sounds like you've been through hell Thanks

Beelzebubble · 09/04/2016 15:45

BeedlesPineNeedles the crinone is rotten!! Ugh, it's like having thrush Blush but if it's helping I don't care Grin

coppergrey · 09/04/2016 16:42

Lots of news to catch up on! Welcome new people, great news to those who've had positive scans and lots of luck to those still waiting. Sorry I can't connect actual names to news - my brain is foggy!

I'm loving all the chip butty chat. Actually might have another tonight. And yes, it's got to be cheap white bread (even a breadcake, maybe) and vinegar-soaked chip shop chips. Mmmmmmm.

Also solidarity for everyone with a complete lack of arsedness about the state of the house - husband and I did the washing up this morning, first time in a week. Shock

Ameilius · 09/04/2016 17:37

Hello all the newbies and yay for the positive scans!

I'm so jealous of all your chip shop chip talk! They can't do proper chips here Sad so we're having a sushi takeaway tonight. Not quite as good but the best our tiny town has to offer.

Housework? What's that?! I've been managing to load the dishwasher but I'm waiting for the nesting instinct to kick in before I do anything more advanced. We're moving in June so I may just wait until we move to tidy up... Blush

likeawestern · 09/04/2016 17:59

I'm blaming you all for the dominoes pizza and wedges I just ate. All this chip shop talk got me craving junk food and cheese has calcium in it Grin

bobcat85 · 09/04/2016 18:29

Welcome to all the new people :)

That's great news Canters. Always reassuring to know everything is going well.

Managed to have a two hour nap this afternoon so feeling quite refreshed now.

FuzzyOwl · 09/04/2016 18:48

7+5 is a good time to see such a strong heartbeat as well Canters.

Welcome Beelze and it sounds like you have been through some tough times. I hope this bean stays safely put.

I seem to have started with the horrible, horrible headaches. Whilst I am worrying it is caused by my hormones going down, because I am eternally pessimistic like that, I am hopeful it is because I am close to entering the second trimester and it is a genuine symptom!

MoreCakeMoreCake · 09/04/2016 19:02

Canters my scan is booked for 7+5 this week so really really hoping we'll see a strong heartbeat too. Excited and terrified.

Welcome beelze and hope you're keeping well. Sending sticky bean vibes your way!

fuzzyowl I had a migraine all day on the day of my BFP, was convinced it was bad news. I think it's just those pesky hormones doing what they do. Hope you can relax a bit now you're nearly in the 2nd tri!

fuzzywuzzy · 09/04/2016 19:06

FuzzyO I suffered really badly from migraines when expecting my older DC, it's one of my pregnancy symptoms and the lack of these has really worried me. I use magnesium oil to help with migraines (it's safe in pregnancy or you can ask your GP).

Has anyone else found any changes happening to their hair and skin? My hair has gone crazy corkscrew curly, it used to be this curly when I was very young and went dead straight when I had my DC.

almondbutter · 09/04/2016 19:07

DH getting five stars from me today. Went to go buy some cleaning stuff, came back with that and a sparkly gold nail varnish. Now keeps saying: 'I went to Mac at Westfield on a Saturday,' which, to be fair, is a labour of love.
Last night I got home and he was wandering about rather sadly not having eaten. He didn't say anything but I realised he's missing me cooking (we split it about 70:30 because I work from home and he has a long commute) and there not being tasty things in fridge. Mustered all my domestic energy and made him a late night carbonara; felt nice to make the effort, even on something so small.

Hello to all new arrivals, love to those having worries or feeling bad despite our impressive chips and pizza consumption.

almondbutter · 09/04/2016 19:10

Oh and fuzzywuzzy my skin is terrible and has been since moment I conceived. Chest, neck, back and now legs are covered in spots. Face thankfully not too bad for now. I have always been lucky with my skin so hopefully it'll chill out soonish.
Your hair sounds pretty -- are you adapting to it?

FuzzyOwl · 09/04/2016 19:35

I have just checked my app from last pregnancy and although my headaches did start much sooner, heavy ones lasted until 17 weeks and then I had the odd one afterwards. That makes me feel better.

My hair is really greasy, whilst my skin is dry and I have had more spots but they seem to be easing a little now.

Thanks for the magnesium oil tip fuzzywuzzy. Am I right in thinking you haven't had headaches with this pregnancy yet? If so it is a good reminder to me that every pregnancy is different.

Thanks as well MoreCake and I will relax after my scan (assuming all is well) but am doing everything possible to remain positive until then.

Carbonara sounds lovely almond.
