Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 46th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

Oooh thurs so exciting. Your DS will have a lovely time. Being with GPs is better than being on holiday... are you feeling alright? Excited.

Am sat in a bath really enjoying a bit of quiet and a tidy house. Contractions are ramping up now. Going to start timing them. Got the house and baby stuff all in order and DP has put on dinner. This couldn't be more different than my experience with DD. I think being calm makes a huge difference!

Thanks for all the well wishes. Sorry I've not been on earlier to update. All fine at scan. Abdominal measurements on 23 centile and head 46th. Lowest was thigh on 11th but neither dh or I are tall and she said if below 10th could be indicator of downs but as we've had 1 in 11646 result for downs that's not a concern. Cord blood flow all good too and lilbean was a naughty monkey wiggling away and making life difficult for the poor mw. Managed to avoid seeing genitals so still happily team yellow. I think it looks like a boy though

Thanks country! How are you and the boybee? I think the pain relief is the thing I'm looking forward to most right now - to stop my back hurting as well as everything else.

I understand they don't give out codeine anymore which makes me very sad indeed

Yes, tomorrow morning lil - glad the scan went well. This is going to sound really patronising, but try not to get caught up with centiles - I firmly believe they are made up by inflexible beurocrats (sp?!) to terrify mothers. All they show is variety.

Yesterday this bean was over the top centile on its growth chart.

Taken on board Thurs. Have to say I feel better as the mw today was very good at explaining what it all meant and when they refer to consultant and why.

I've been having didrocodeine (can't spell) and diclophenic (again can't spell) and paracetamol not as bad as i thought it would be just make sure you get your butt out of bed early next morning and have a shower. Stop if you feel light headed otherwise you'll barf. Barfing hurts ALOT!

So all was going well at work. I had some work to finish off in good time before my cover started on 4 April. I leave on 14 April. My DD is 14 May. WELL. I got a phonecall today from my boss, sounding nervous. Apparently, my cover is NOW STARTING ON MONDAY BECAUSE MY BOSS FUCKED UP THE HR FORM. Apparently this poor woman has FLOWN BACK FROM HER HOLIDAY EARLY because she thought she was going to start in the role TOMORROW!!!!! It's been moved to Monday now, but they can't move it to 4 April because the contracts have all been signed!!!

AND MY BOSS DIDN'T NOTICE THE DATES WHEN SHE SIGNED THE CONTRACTS!

I am just FURIOUS! I don't want to spend my last month at work trying to find work for my maternity cover to do. It's MY WORK! The original planned handover was perfect.

There's also nowhere for her to sit - the office is totally full! It's such a mess and I'm really. REALLY. Cross. I don't want to hand hold for the next couple of weeks when I was planning on finishing up a load of work ready for hand over.

Sorry for the rant.....but seriously. My boss is just shit.

Good news is that I had my maternity chat with HR today and it turns out when I go back to work, they're going to give me an extra £200 in my salary each month to "encourage" me back into the office that they suggest I could put towards childcare! WTF?! AMAZING. So I guess work isn't all crap.

Sorry, realised my fury at my incompetent boss clouded my ability to make sense in my post ^ You get the gist though!

I have had a shit day at work, so have made myself and the tweedles a chocolate-hot-cross-bun-bread-and-butter-pudding (with chocolate custard)..... dessert win!

Of course now I feel disgustingly full and whale like....oh well....

Glad your scan was ok lil

My consultant saw me this morning drinking lemon & ginger tea and eating crisps, and said "If you hadn't already told me, I'd know you were pregnant just from this!" Apparently she went for exactly the same things when she was pregnant. Drugs are still mostly doing the trick, and it seems the Socklet approves of pizza - tonight is the first night in over a week that I haven't thrown up dinner (last night's trout with chilli and ginger glaze was particularly unpleasant 2nd time around).

Just got to get through 3 long days over the weekend and then it's my dating scan on Monday!

don't worry mer, tonight i pigged out on a whole pollo ad astra pizza, a bag of mini eggs and two pieces of choc/cherry cheese cake oops!

I've had a day of BH again, with some oddly painful stabby fanjo moments, a little mild periody pain every now and then (not at the same time as the BH), and now a little bit of spotting.

Am hoping nowt happens for a couple more days so we can finish the decorating and do a big house clean!

Reporting in! Still quite pregnant and still at home... after my last post I said goodnight to DD on the phone, went for a walk around the block, and watched some New Girl and waited for things to kick off... then nothing happened. Things got slow and irregular again and I felt emotionsl and disappointed. Like what kind of crazy person WANTS to be in pain?! Plus, I was suddenly shattered. So I had a nice cuddle with DP and went to sleep. I am now wide awake after waking to some tightenings with a very happy baby squirming away. Arrangements have been made for DD who is with her DF until Sunday now so way less pressure. I am getting those old feelings again but letting DP sleep until either my wayer breaks or I start needing to time them again... my money is on Thursday. Hell, even Tea could lap me at this stage!

Very of all your treats! Have some Creme Eggs in hospital bag along with a loaf of Soreen to snack on (slathered in butter natch) post birth.

Excellent rant feathered and completely understandable... if you can finangle your mat leave ending on your original dates I'd take the extra month if I were you. Work will ALWAYS be there. This is your last couple of months pre-baby... you could spend it doing anything... paid! And I agree. That boss of yours is magnifishit that is a tall order screw-up if I ever heard one!

Up again. Back and abdominal pain. Mild but not letting up feeling nauseaus and a bit hungry. Please let this be it! I really want to meet my baby!
