Just got my BFP this morning. Only 11dpo on our 5th cycle but hoping for it to stick.

I already have 3 DC. DD (nearly 12), DS1 (8) and DS2 (nearly 4).

I have 3 early m/c in between my DC so very cautious at the moment.

Anyone want to join me?

Hi Slumber I'm just unofficially poking my head in to say hi as I am in a very similar position to you. We had a a positive pregnancy test on Tuesday and due on 23rd November (although very much planned) and DH and I have also recently moved abroad to a country where we don't speak the language well so this will all be very strange trying to work out a new health care system. I'm sure that there is nothing to panic about, symptoms do come and go.

This is an unofficial hello to everyone, I will be joining in properly but I want to be a bit further along, I had a chemical last month and whilst this feels completely different already, I'm still really nervous. Off to go pee on another thousand HPTs before coming back! Looking forward to meeting you all.

FuzzyOwl · 17/03/2016 08:45

Hello, welcome and congratulations Slumber and Cailler. Cramps and minimal or no symptoms are perfectly normal - I know because it also worries me all of the time as well! I hope the health care systems where you live turn out to be great and everything goes well.

Perpetualstateofchaos · 17/03/2016 09:45

Just wanted to say I wish you all, all the best. I did another test and it was BFN so I'm going to slide away.

ChatEnOeuf · 17/03/2016 10:03

Ah, I'm sorry Chaos Flowers

FlowerHT · 17/03/2016 10:18

Popping in to say hello..... got a BFP (on more different tests than I should admit to)! After trying without any luck for 3 1/2 years, is a massive surprise as I had honestly resigned myself to it being something that wouldn't happen for us. Safe to say paranoia and worry has set in, but hopeful that this is misplaced Smile

MiniLop · 17/03/2016 10:42

Welcome flower and congratulations! Paranoia and worry is normal, some of us have booked early scans to try and reduce that (I'm not one of them, have got a long 5 weeks to wait until my 12 week scan!)
What's your EDD?

theAntsareMyFriends · 17/03/2016 10:50

Hi all. I've been lurking for a while but think I'm finally ready to be brave and join you. Due on 11th with 2nd child.

Excited and worried and veering wildly between those 2 emotions. I have almost no symptoms - slight cramps, bit dizzy and v tired. I know I was like that with my DS (I actually began to worry that I'd made the whole thing up before I got my 12 week scan) but I hoped this time I'd have some reassuring symptoms.

We haven't told anyone yet but thinking of telling my parents this weekend. My sister has just announced her first is due in October so feel a bit guilty about stealing her thunder but can't be helped.

Looking forward to the next 7/8 months of getting to know you all!

FlowerHT · 17/03/2016 10:56

Hi MiniLop! Thanks for your reasssurance! Officially based on LLP, due 30th Oct, but based on conception etc, think will likely be a week later, so 6th Nov. Am booked in for initial midwife appointment next Wednesday....very difficult to try and not get too excited/worried when things like appointments make it so real! Given our long wait, we're understandably cautious, so not planning on telling anyone until around 20 weeks assuming we make it that far. Luckily I work for myself, so don't need to worry about telling work etc!

Thurlow · 17/03/2016 11:08

Hello newbies, and congrats!

I have to share something fantastically old-school. DD has decided to throw up everywhere last night and this morning (thanks, love). DP was already at work on an early shift, but I have a manic day so we'd already agreed that he would come home and takeover. He's in the police - a fantastically 21st century employer anyway Wink So he told someone quite senior he was leaving as he had to look after his ill daughter today and the senior officer was apparently incredibly shocked that I worked full-time as well and wasn't just sitting at home darning socks or something!

The Metropolitan Police, fully embracing 21st century life Grin

Baby40 · 17/03/2016 12:01

Just some advise so if I did a clear blue digital on the 6th and got 1-2 weeks, if I do one tomorrow morning I technically should get 2-3? Is that correct? Ps I'll log on to a computer tonight to see the PMs Smile

Fi84 · 17/03/2016 13:03

Wow lots more Newbies. Hi everyone!
I've been having some spotting this week didn't get any with my first two pregnancies. The early pregnancy unit want to see me tomorrow for an early scan. Fingers crossed.

Tartsamazeballs · 17/03/2016 13:09

Oh god this can't be morning sickness the only explanation is that I have Ebola and I'm dying. Send help and dry toast.

MiniLop · 17/03/2016 15:24

Tarts Sad but Grin you made me laugh. Hopefully will pass soon. In the mean time, sending you virtual dry toast and ginger ale!

LittleGreyCatwithapinkcollar · 17/03/2016 17:35

Hi newbies. Wishing you all a happy and healthy 8/9 months!
Fx Fi84. I hope they can put your mind at rest.
Sorry you're feeling so terrible tarts. I've been so nauseous today but luckily nothing more so far.

Fi84 · 17/03/2016 18:30

Thanks littlegrey. x

KateMossIsMyQueen · 17/03/2016 19:52

Tarts I laughed at your Ebola. I feel your pain!

There's a mimsnet page with advise on sickness. Point 10 says "lie by the toilet moaning 'please god let me die'" which was exactly me yesterday morning lol

FuzzyOwl · 17/03/2016 19:58

Tarts I had Ebola a couple of weeks ago so understand your pain. Allegedly it was a mere v&d bug, but I know better! Hope you are ok.

Good luck tomorrow Fi

Yes Baby that sounds right to me. Hope the test cooperates!

Hope your daughter is ok Thurlow

Hello and welcome all newbies.

Canters15 · 17/03/2016 20:15

Can I join too? I got my bfp on Sunday and reckon I'm 4+3. Thinking I might phone tomorrow to sort out midwife. will be due around 21st Nov.

Ps....hi fuzzy and chat Grin

KleineDracheKokosnuss · 17/03/2016 20:19

Hi all :-) . Got a bfp two weeks ago almost but didn't want to believe it might be OK (I have a mixed history). I calculate that I'm 6 weeks, due 9 Nov.

Nausea has begun, as have weird food desires - the only acceptable lunch today was mashed potato and grated cheese. The cafe staff clearly thought I was mad!

RainbowPickle · 17/03/2016 20:36

Can I join in? I'm usually a lurker but feeling brave tonight. I'm 6+5 and have an early scan on Monday as baby is from a frozen embryo transfer. All a bit of shock - most days I don't feel pregnant apart from the mild nausea and ridiculous tiredness. Currently trying to stop my highly affectionate 4 year old climbing all over me! Due date approx 5th Nov.

FuzzyOwl · 17/03/2016 20:43

Hi Canters

Hello, welcome and congratulations Kleine and Rainbow

findingmyfeet12 · 17/03/2016 22:45

Hi to all newcomers.

I've calculated that I'm exactly 7 weeks.

I feel as though I'm showing a bit already, my dh has noticed too - is is probably just bloating and/or fat?

In the last few days I've developed a severe pain in my left hip (the right felt a bit stiff today as well). Sometimes it's not too bad but if I've been sitting/lying for a while and try to move its agony. Could this be pregnancy related?

ChatEnOeuf · 17/03/2016 22:49

Hi Canters! And all other newbies - congrats :)

AlbusPercival · 18/03/2016 08:47

haha DH said I was showing too last night! Not impressed.

booking in appointment today

FuzzyOwl · 18/03/2016 08:51

Hope the appointment goes well Albus

It could be finding and I hope it eases off for you.

So tired today and sciatica-like pains have really made a reappearance which feels much too early. I have decided I am definitely going to get an early scan and will try for next weekend, as I will be eight weeks. I am finally and very tentatively starting to feel good about this pregnancy.
