Just got my BFP this morning. Only 11dpo on our 5th cycle but hoping for it to stick.

I already have 3 DC. DD (nearly 12), DS1 (8) and DS2 (nearly 4).

I have 3 early m/c in between my DC so very cautious at the moment.

Anyone want to join me?

I've not heard anything from midwife yet but I saw my GP 2 weeks ago nearly. They said it would be nearer 8-10 weeks before I got a letter about booking in and scans though!

JadeT2 · 09/03/2016 18:02

Got my positive yesterday :) this will be my first but I miscarried at 6 weeks a few months ago so I'm not getting my hopes up until the first scan. Congratulations everyone though!

Flamingo16 · 09/03/2016 18:05

Just rang my GP surgery and the receptionist has told me to get in touch directly with the midwife to arrange booking appointment as there's no need to see my GP first. So that's top of my to do list tomorrow!

Really value having all of you to talk to!

Flamingo16 · 09/03/2016 18:13

Welcome Jade! Sorry to hear about your miscarriage. I don't feel I can get excited until the 12 week scan too - keeping my fingers crossed for us all. X

Holly300 · 09/03/2016 18:24

Thanks for adding me to the list pickled :) anyone else feeling exhausted? I'm meant to go out in half an hour and am currently lying in my bed having a rest!

Moggysinger · 09/03/2016 18:29

Hello all Smile can I join?
I'm moggy, I got my bfp on 3 March, 5+2 today. Think due around 6th Nov.
I think I'm pretty much relatively symptom-less at the moment so want to hang with some other upduffed ladies for some reassurance! I rang gp a couple of days ago and was told to ring back when 7 weeks gone to book in an apt for week 10!! Feels too far away so I'm thinking I might ring again to check that's correct and perhaps pester a bit for an earlier apt. Almost a third of pregnancy without seeing gp/midwife?! Anyone else had similar issue? Thanks!

Holly300 · 09/03/2016 18:30

Even though I my boobs and nipples are still killing, I'm feeling exhausted, have supersonic sense of smell and have had a few waves of nausea (so I'm not short of symptoms!) I really wanted to take a clearblue digital to confirm... Not cheap, but worth it for me :)

Holly300 · 09/03/2016 18:39

Moggy when I was pregnant with my first (she's 10 now) I went to my gp, who took my details and said that I'd get a booking in appointment in the post. When I asked if that was it, she said that it's not routine to be seen in the first trimester.

I know it sounds horrible but the NHS don't want to know until you're out of the first trimester. It's very unnerving. I found from the second trimester onwards though, with both my dcs, that antenatal care was fantastic.

Doesn't sound good though, really your doctor should have seen you and asked if there was anything you needed to know etc.

Holly300 · 09/03/2016 18:42

Sorry moggy, just reread your post... Your gp won't see you until 10 weeks? That doesn't sound right! You should call back and say that you really need to see a doctor sooner for peace of mind and that there's questions you need to ask etc

Holly300 · 09/03/2016 18:44

Fx for you jade :)

5tardusty · 09/03/2016 18:53

Fx jade Thanks

Feeling ok today but bloating is making me feel fat already! Don't have much energy to do exercise but trying to go for a walk each day for the fresh air as well as shifting my arse!

Been invited out on saturday night with friends and it'll be so obvious if they catch me not drinking. Really think i am going to have to take some pretend gin!

Holly300 · 09/03/2016 18:59

Stardusty, I have the same on sat night. We actually said (when we arranged it weeks ago) that it would be a piss-up! I'm a bit worried about the whole not drinking situation and them twig going that I'm pregnant. I'm even considering cancelling as I'm so exhausted and it's only mid-week. I'm thinking by then I'll be happy to rest up at home and have an early night!

LittleGreyCatwithapinkcollar · 09/03/2016 19:11

Fx for you jade.

I did a silly thing and poas after work with very dilute wee. It's a positive but very faint. I'm only 14/15dpo so rationally I know that's probably the reason, but now I'm worrying something's wrong... Confused

FuzzyOwl · 09/03/2016 19:23

Congratulations and welcome to the newbies.

LittleGrey try to step away from the tests. A line is a line and this early on how strong they are can really fluctuate for no reason and just cause us anxiety.

It might be right Moggy because 10 weeks is usually when you have bloods taken and 12 weeks is the scan. Anything before that is usually just providing the midwife with routine health information that can be done as late as 10 weeks really. The first trimester certainly drags!!

FuzzyOwl · 09/03/2016 19:24

Feeling quite tired today and I have a hideous headache.

LittleGreyCatwithapinkcollar · 09/03/2016 19:28

You're right fuzzy. I must step away. I have a digital for the weekend, then I'll stop! 1st trimester headaches are horrid. Hope you feel better soon.

FuzzyOwl · 09/03/2016 19:49

I have a digital for this weekend as well and hopefully it will show 3+ and reassure me --for half an hour-, then I plan to stop testing.

Victoria1981 · 09/03/2016 20:08

Gosh, the headaches suck don't they?! I took another test yesterday but freaked a bit because it still only said 2-3. Of course, my first test was only 3 days prior so I'm being ridiculous. I'm going to try and step away from them completely now until just before the scan to reassure myself!

I never normally want to speed up time, but I would do anything to be properly pregnant with a bump. Anything to stop this worrying! DH came home tonight and told me he's been worrying all day again too. The joys of early pregnancy, especially post IVF! Hope the rest of you are staying more calm than I am!

Xxx

Flamingo16 · 09/03/2016 20:21

I'm totally the same Victoria, had a bit of a freak out this evening and wish we could speed up the next couple of months!

FuzzyOwl · 09/03/2016 20:35

We need to be able to speed up at least the first trimester and also invent little windows in our stomach so we can check in with the babies and make sure everything is ok. I would say I am on the case, but I don't appear to be getting very far!

BumblebeeBum · 09/03/2016 21:02

Hi, can I join? I had a BFP (well, a squinter!) yesterday. Due around mid November.

Quietly cautious as I have two children and have had 5 miscarriages. I'll PM for Facebook group link :)

AlbusPercival · 10/03/2016 06:12

Welcome new people

Pickled - I had an early scan in last pregnancy. Sadly it picked up the second mc but was better to know sooner I ghink

Charlierhi · 10/03/2016 07:29

Thanks everyone for your antiemetic tips - my new GP is frankly my new best friend as he offered them before I'd worked out how to ask the question. They haven't taken effect yet but I feel a bit better knowing he's approachable.

pickledsausage · 10/03/2016 07:38

fuzzy I love your window idea, hopefully by the time our babies are having babies that will be a thing :)

albus sorry to hear that but absolutely agree it's better to know sooner rather than get to the 12 wk scan. I'm going to the docs on Tuesday to hopefully get a referral and if not we'll go private.

Hope everyone is ok today. My boobs are the sorest they've been but other than that still feeling quite ok xx

JadeT2 · 10/03/2016 08:11

Thanks everyone. It's difficult to think it's real when you've had a mc before isn't it, just don't want to get your hopes up.

I'm also getting headaches and slight cramps, glad I'm not the only one!
