Can I join please?
I'm 4weeks 2days. Due date 25/10/16. This was our 14th cycle and I'd honestly been reconciled to it not happening for us. Especially since I turned 38 last month and a friend took the opportunity to tell me I was really old and past it now and beyond hope...

So anyway, this is a shock. I'm m up and down between delighted and so scared. I have an early scan booked in March due to my history.

Oh and I took a CB digital with conception indicator yesterday and it said 1-2weeks so I'm now worried about that as I should be showing 2-3 shouldn't I?

It's taking a lot to stay calm. I had a cp back in May last year and I think that's really playing on my mind right now.

wondermoose · 18/02/2016 09:18

Aww cake I'm so happy for you, what a lovely little bear in your scan :)

planeteer absolutely bloody freezing!! And I normally get too hot walking to the shops! I keep thinking I've got some awful bug because I'm just shivery all the damn time

Hi fuzzy welcome :) I've not used the cb so I'm not sure how reliable they are for moving up the weeks, I'd say maybe try again in a few days/week and see what it says then?

I told my oct 14 group last night and they are all very excited which is nice :) but it's making me even more nervous now in case I've 'cursed' things 😕

Northernlight22 · 18/02/2016 09:59

Contrafulations cake x

Northernlight22 · 18/02/2016 09:59

Oops, bad spelling!

wetsnow · 18/02/2016 10:21

Aw cake so happy for you!!!

Feel okay today. Dd at nursery so I'm sorting the kitchen whilst the carpet men are here (last day of fitting! Woop)

Ladycrazycat · 18/02/2016 11:03

Morning all,

Had another morning of panic as my symptoms totally went. I've been sleeping better than I was before I was pregnant for the last few days, didn't feel particularly nauseous. Sore boobs went days ago (although nipples look like bullets!).

8 days until my early scan. I'm so scared it will be a MMC.

I am feeling a little nauseous again now which is a relief!

This is so stressful!

MrBensMrs · 18/02/2016 11:15

Snap lady no other symptoms bar bloating and slight nausea for the last few days (oh and gigantic boobs!) - my early scan is Sunday

TheCake · 18/02/2016 11:31

Thanks everyone for all of your kind words, it's all feeling a bit more real now. Funnily enough I also feel like I've got less symptoms today- I think they are meant to come and go anyway so I'm not worried (yet). Actually managed a run this morning which was nice since it is such a gorgeous day here in the North West.

Fuzzy welcome and I wouldn't worry too much (easier said than done I know) about the CB indicator as you may have ovulated later than you think. Also they are not 100% accurate on the weeks indicator.

Figgygal · 18/02/2016 12:52

7 weeks today!!!!!!

Work Skirt cutting me in half which is a bad sign.

PunkyPod · 18/02/2016 13:41

Lot and Lisa I'm from Eltham but live in Bromley now. I have had both my DC at the PRUH Oasis Centre and the care has been exceptional. I really cannot fault them. So if this is an option for you then it gets the thumbs up from me!

PunkyPod · 18/02/2016 13:58

So I've still not told DH! The only person who knows is one of my cousins in America. I can't believe I'm managing to keep it shtum, but somehow 3rd time round I'm feeling much more chilled. As it may also be our last baby I want to enjoy each bit as much as I can. With the first 2 I just showed DH to pregnancy test and that was it. but this time I've ordered a Thing 1, thing 2 top each for DD and DS. going to get them to wear them next Saturday. and then me and DH are going out to celebrate our anniversary and I'm going to give him a little present and it's a Thing 3 vest in age 0-3months (my kids come out big so newborn sizes aren't necessary!) I hope he likes the surprise. i'll be almost 6 weeks by then. Right now I'm loving just being little poppy seed and me Smile

LisaTheGreek · 18/02/2016 14:20

Thanks PunkyPod, that's really useful! I'll look into the Princess Royal

MsFiremanSam · 18/02/2016 14:46

Cake, congratulations! Beautiful little Pom bear you have in there!

Planeteer I am FREEZING all the time - just cranked the heating up to 24 and sat in two jumpers with a duvet ❄️

Finally made a midwife appointment for next week. Told a couple of family members, both of whom then launched into stories of numerous people they know who have had miscarriages at various stages. Why do that???

bananafish81 · 18/02/2016 14:48

Amazing news cake

You and fuzzywuzzy are both added to the stats Smile

docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/17dTi1GZbm7GV6aU3-5vOLq8mdmNhSz5ukRFKJT7Wehw/edit?usp=sharing

Fuzzy - the CB are notoriously unreliable. I know so many woman who've had massive panics because they've been dated wrongly - it's a load of crap. Stay away from the digis!

Went to my GP and have got referred to antenatal, apparently as I am epileptic I'm high risk and likely to get seen sooner?

Anyone else in north London? I'm about equidistant between the Whittington and UCH but asked to be referred to UCH.

wetsnow · 18/02/2016 15:05

lisa you have the option of lots of good places!

punky im also in bromley. may have had this conversation...
Loved oasis with dd. I'm keeping my fingers crossed I can go back again.

msfireman snap... so so cold!!!!

Just up from a very much needed 2 hour nap. Getting dd from nursery in an hour.

Grumpelstiltskin · 18/02/2016 15:18

Banana I've been referred to the Royal Free (which is handily 5 mins walk away so fine for booking in and first scan) but if I was staying in NW for my whole pregnancy I'd much rather be at UCH. They were a bit crap on the admin side for my IVF but have good reviews for antenatal care and were my doc's top recommendation.
Some friends were at the Whittington and have heard mixed reviews. Not least that the food is shocking

Lady I think it was you who was also NW, right? (Sorry, do I sound like a stalker, much?!) do you know yet where you'll be based?

Alwaysinahurrynow · 18/02/2016 15:21

punky I love your idea. I might just do that for my mum!

Ladycrazycat · 18/02/2016 16:04

MrBensMrs mine have grown as well. I need to go bra shopping but trying to hold out another week or so.

Grumpel yes that's me. I had my booking in last week and have an early scan next Friday at RF. The midwife was lovely! I'm going to be moving in three weeks now though so will be out of the area.

Northernlight22 · 18/02/2016 16:18

Booking in done now - midwife was lovely and I'm just waiting on a date for a reassurance scan now. Feel so relieved!

evs34 · 18/02/2016 17:01

Hi ladies, can I join please? Been reading for a while! 4th pregnancy- 6 and 4 yr old and we had to have a TOP in November at 14 weeks because of a significant fetal abnormality. We were told to wait for 2 cycles before trying again and amazingly it has happened on our first mth! V v scared now. So hard to enjoy but trying very hard to. Due 19th oct- 5+1 today. going to book scan for 6-7 weeks then I think we will pay for nifty at 10 weeks as I am higher risk for another trisomy now. Nearly £500 though! They do play on our worries don't they?! Praying I will be in here for the duration this time. Had a little look at my old thread and they are all 28-30 weeks now! Very odd feeling but so thankful to be getting another go! Feeling a bit tired but nothing else so far and I have been very restrained and only done 2 tests this time!! Sorry for the long post xx

Afreshstartplease · 18/02/2016 18:33

Evening all

5+5 today

Tired, grumpy and gassy

Lovely

Not eaten much today, just picked

Must try and have some tea

missybct · 18/02/2016 18:51

Cake - what a beautiful little bear you have there!

Wonder I know what you mean about the curse thing, I worried I'd jinxed myself by having my Booking In appointment Hmm I also said to the girl behind the bar today (we took DSS for an early tea at our local pub) that I couldn't have vodka with my cloudy lemonade as I was pregnant - I think that's the first time I've uttered it out loud Grin

Welcome evs34* - fingers crossed for a happy and healthy 9 months.

I'm oddly a bit cold during the day, and bloody roasting at night - I can't regulate my temperature at all during night time and wake up sweating.

MrsBen - I felt like that yesterday - utterly depressed and miserable. None of my clothes feel tighter (except bra's, and even then not that much) but I feel hoooge. Doesn't help that I'm almost entirely unable to do much due to movement causing dizziness/nausea. I can manage walks but even round shops makes me feel gaggy Envy

Reluctantnympho · 18/02/2016 19:07

Found you! Gosh this thread moves so fast! Congratulations on your little bear cake
I've been a bit down this week I've had a tiny bit of spotting with very bad low down cramps and back ache. To make it worse I've spent hours looking on Dr Google Sad anyway I've got an early scan tomorrow so fingers crossed everything is ok (sleepless night for me) by lmp date I'm 6+2 but I know I ovulated late, I think I'm 5+5 so there won't be too much to see on the scan

SaraC8 · 18/02/2016 19:46

Can I join in? Grin found out I'm pregnant last week, I'll be 6 weeks on Sunday. this is my first, still can't quite believe it. Never really wanted kids until I got with my partner last May, came off the pill end of October/November and haven't really been trying. Was a day late and I'm always regular so got a clearblue digital and it changed almost instantly to pregnant Shock. First midwife app on Tuesday, my pregnant apps are telling me I'm due 16th October, which will be my partner AND his mums birthday haha!!

TheCake · 18/02/2016 20:05

Welcome SaraC8!

reluctantnympho good luck for the scan tomorrow. Hope you manage to get some sleep x
