Oh, who do I PM to join the FB group?

I don't know if yesterday was just an off day but I could hardly face food, I think it was the thought of eating meat. I managed to force my lunch down me but couldn't face cooking and eating pork chops for tea so I had pasta with cheese sauce! Hubby ate a burger and it made my stomach flip to smell it.

I seem to be craving what everyone else is eating. A girl in the office had a bag of salt and vinegar squares, then I wanted ready salted hula hoops and now I want cheese on toast with tomato soup.

Missy I had horrendous discharge with my first, I'm already wearing pantyliners every day in preparation, pregnancy is so gross.

Hi all, sorry I haven't been on in a while, spend so long trying to catch up on the thread then can't think of anything to write. Nausea eased off just before the weekend and had awful cramping and backache on Friday and Saturday. Realised it was when my AF would have been due and thankfully didn't get any spotting. Had a bit of a panic about whether my body can cope with all this again, this will be my fifth pregnancy in 7 years (not sure whether I count my mc or not) and I feel a lot older and haggered than I probably should.
Also have a stinking head cold with blocked sinuses that are so painful, DH actually had to get the kids up this morning!
8+2 today and have my midwife app tomorrow.

clank2 · 01/03/2016 10:24

Had a good day yesterday, hardly any heartburn or sickness, am getting really tired and find if I don't get to bed around 10ish I get really irritable and restless legs. I'm super itchy all over, it's driving me potty. Woke up at 4.50 this morning, couldn't sleep, remember looking at the time at 6 and drifted off before puppy woke me at 6.20! Grrr. Now super tired, not digging work at all, got heartburn again today and feel really fat...not pregnant....fat. Also still heard nothing from midwife for booking in appointment.. I've seen nobody about this pregnancy and I'm 8 weeks plus 3. Feels strange!

Figgygal · 01/03/2016 12:43

Im 8+5 today and seeing MW tomorrow for booking in then shall commence the battle for a scan before 24th March.......we will see. I weighed myself this morning and have put on 3lbs already I put over 3 stone on last time and wanted to be better this time but I am snacking constantly. DH and I are off out tonight for dinner and a gig so will be a late one.

My eyes have started wandering to websites like mothercare and JoJo Mama Bebe already!! I was adamant when had ds that he would be an only so got rid of all of his clothes until he was about a year so need a full new baby wardrobe apart from a random collection of 3-6 months I found In a bag in loft which seemed to have escaped the cull somehow.

I have it in my head it is a girl already. When I had ds I didn't want a boy to my shame I was disappointed for a while (before he arrived as we found out at 20 wks) but since having him I would love another boy and It would be more practical in terms of toys/clothes we have kept but i am starting to have a "feeling" it is going to be a girl. Who is going to and not going to find out gender?

bananafish81 · 01/03/2016 12:55

We have the option of finding out the sex with our Panorama test at 10 weeks (results back within 2 weeks). However we have opted not to find out then as i really don't want to find out before the 12 week scan

We will find out at the 20 week scan but would find an ERPC for a MMC at 12 weeks knowing it was a baby boy or girl just unimaginably hard

Tallblue · 01/03/2016 15:00

I'm surviving on salt and vinegar square crisps and bowls of cereal.

Rough day as toddler has some kind of vomiting bug and was up a lot during the night. We've had a duvet day today. At one point I decided we should get out for a quick walk and some fresh air and we went to the park, big mistake, I just don't have the energy for lifting DD onto the slide and running around after her. We left fairly quickly (me trying not to heave) and DD had the mother of all tantrums. Hoping for a better day tomorrow!

I'll be waiting a few more weeks before joining the facebook group, I want to wait until after 12wk scan.

Speaking of scans, we didn't find out gender of DC1 at 20wks and probably won't with this one either, I like the element of surprise. Also it gave me a bit more oomph during the final pushes as I really wanted to know if I was having a boy or girl Smile

leoniethelioness · 01/03/2016 15:16

Tallblue - I'm going to join after my 12 week scan too.

I'm 10 weeks tomorrow - a quarter of the way there!

TheCake · 01/03/2016 15:29

pod I've had a bit of the pressure that you are talking about- it comes and goes.

Re: sex- we will probably find out after the NIPTY test. I am too nosy, but I understand why people would want to wait.

I had my second early scan today (I'm almost 10 weeks now) and everything looked good. My baby no longer looks like a Pom Bear but the scan was really cute as he/she was waving their little arms and legs round like a lunatic and make it difficult for the poor consultant to take measurements! I'm being released from high risk care now and have been put into a normal pregnancy plan. My next scan is 3 weeks tomorrow and is the normal '12 week' scan that everyone has.

ditsygal · 01/03/2016 15:55

Just had my booking in appt (at 9+1) It was all fine. Although due to the size of DS at birth (9lbs 15oz) I have to have the diabetes test this time around. grrr. Also my BMI was just over the 30 mark which is annoying as it definitely wasn't a few weeks ago! I blame the carbs I am eating to stave off sickness!
Annoyingly I've got to go to a different hospital some time this week for my blood tests, at a drop in clinic they do.

DisneyDiva87 · 01/03/2016 16:09

I'm feeling queasy again today, it's possibly the amount of sugar I have eaten... Although I don't think I have eaten as much as yesterday. Maybe it is pregnancy related, I'm not sure it is only the second day I've had it. I'm 6+6 and I saw someone post that their sickness only started around 6 weeks so I guess it could be the pg.

We might be finding out the sex, DH wants to but I'm undecided.

I want to find out the sex at 20 week scan, i want to know what to buy haha

SmwarbFirst · 01/03/2016 16:53

Hi guys. Finally found the thread after thinking the last one was extremely quiet lol. Update - I went for an early scan st my local EPU and found I was then 5w6d even saw the little peanuts heart flickering away (was amazing - 1st time pregnancy and parent to be) I'm now 7 weeks and 3 days and I'm worrying as all my symptoms have gone !!! No saw boobs no bloating nothing - is this normal ? I've had no cramping or bleeding so may sound like an odd question but am I still pregnant ??? #veryworried. Tia X

climbingcheesecake · 01/03/2016 17:49

smwarb I am not sure if this is reassuring but my symptoms dropped off massively at around 7 weeks, and then are coming back in force this week (I am 9 weeks now). I haven't had a scan, so I don't know that all is going to plan either, but I mentioned it to my dr and he said that symptoms come and go.

bananafish81 · 01/03/2016 18:05

I have no real symptoms to speak of other than the enormobloat that has had a woman in my yoga class ask when I'm due Confused

My cramping and sore boobs disappeared a couple of weeks ago (about 6 weeks) and I was convinced it must have been a blighted ovum.

Heartbeat seen and heard at 7+1 - I'm 8+1 and apart from bloating and craving carbs, I certainly don't feel pregnant. Haven't had any real nausea

I am crapping myself about waiting another two weeks until my 10 week scan and often think I'd like more symptoms for reassurance. Then I remember you can have all the symptoms in the book and still have MMC so symptoms or lack thereof don't mean anything

The 10 week scan seems sooooooo far away!!

pod100 · 01/03/2016 18:13

Really pleased to hears couple of you have had that pressure pain. It's so strange!

I've definitely had a bit of queasiness around lunchtime the last couple of days but otherwise been fine really. Bang on 6 weeks today. I'm half thinking about paying for an early scan but can't make my mind up. It all feels too early to even be thinking about things or telling anyone yet. I know too many people that haven't been lucky, unfortunately.

Afreshstartplease · 01/03/2016 18:50

7+3 and I feel fucking grim

Nauseous all day for second day this week and sooooooo tired not helped by dds early start

This time next week I'll have had my booking appointment

I want to push for a scan before Easter holidays! Fingers crossed

We will find out the gender, I'm considering a private scan at 16 weeks TBH because I neeeeed to know

Jubaloo442 · 01/03/2016 19:22

Feeling rotten (7+2). Had LITERALLY 3 minutes earlier between thinking 'ooh I'm a bit hungry' and heaving over the loo. Had to have emergency ravioli. Brilliant as cooks in ONE MINUTE. Roast beef monster munch also good but I looked down post-ravioli and I look FAT. Suppose eating mainly carbs is going to do that. Boobs killing, already in wireless bras. Not wifi, you know what I mean.

Jubaloo442 · 01/03/2016 19:23

Afreshstart, I feel your grim-ness!

leoniethelioness · 01/03/2016 19:27

Has anyone got any advice on starting exercise in pregnancy? I'm a bit overweight and really short, and can't stop eating, so need a strategy for a healthy pregnancy

Georgina4 · 01/03/2016 20:00

Perhaps swimming leonie? You could build up to 64 lengths (one mile), it uses pretty much every muscle in your body but is gentle on joints etc as non weight bearing. Smile

leoniethelioness · 01/03/2016 20:09

That sounds like a good idea - might need some refresher lessons first!

I'm going to try walking a lot more as well.

Afreshstartplease · 01/03/2016 20:11

Jubaloo a week 7 thing maybe

Bluecarrot · 01/03/2016 21:39

Hello :) seem to have dropped off the list again. Could someone add me again pls ? Bluecarrot dc3 due October 15th

I have barely felt able to stand without nausea and dizziness so exercise was last thing on my mind but today I had too much chocolate and haven't felt nauseous since. Even managed to do a few dance moves with the kids( uncoordinated and nothing like it was supposed to be, but the most exercise I've got in about a week!

Looking forward to getting back to walking and swimming!

Early scan on Thursday. Excited! Keep nearly slipping up - hairdresser told me awfully sad story and I started to cry. She felt awful and I wanted to tell her it was hormones but she's my mums hairdresser too and so couldn't spill yet!

Hopelass · 02/03/2016 07:58

Hi everyone I've been awol for a while as have been completely wiped out by a cold and was too pathetic to even type posts on mn and fb! For those asking itsallgood is the lady to pm to be added.
6+1 here and early scan booked for 15th March when I'll be 8 weeks.
GP has referred me to midwife so am waiting for appointment and scan date. GP also filled in my maternity exemption cert for prescriptions which is good. My useless midwife last time didn't do it at all until I mentioned it at over 20 weeks.
We will be finding out what we're having this time only because we didn't last time so we'd like to for a change! Hope everyone is feeling as well as possible!

Tallblue · 02/03/2016 08:43

Jubaloo I'm now massively craving beef monster munch after reading your post!! Not even sure if these are sold in the country where I live but I'm going to try to hunt some down.

I'm feeling very grim today, I've forgotten what it feels like to feel normal. I don't remember feeling this grim with DC1 but it could just be that I shut out the grim memories from my mind....

leonie I'm with you on the exercise thing, I'm already overweight and worried I'll be huge after this pregnancy, after I didn't shift the baby weight from last time. I think I'll try swimming too.
