Wow! FourForYouGlenCoco you look fab! That's a perfect little bump! I unfortunately seem to be spreading in every direction, including growing a second chin!
Is anyone doing any exercises like pilates? I've had a dvd recommended to me but am yet to find the energy to do it! However am noticing stiffness in my legs, so think that's a sign to get off the couch and do more!

Christinedonna · 07/02/2016 19:16

In the toilet at work so excuse the background but feeling very pregnant

Jw35 · 07/02/2016 19:38

You look fab GlenCo and Christine! My bump is ok but I'm bigger all over too, hadn't lost the weight from last pregnancy (dd 13 months now)

I also have a massive gap between my 2 other kids, 11 years! Pro's and cons! This baby will be 19 months younger than my 2nd so hoping for them to be close!

FourForYouGlenCoco · 07/02/2016 20:13

Christine you look great! I'm still holding out on maternity tops as they make my bump look absolutely enormous, yours is so neat!
Mama with DD I was the same size most of the way through, never put on weight anywhere except the bump, then in the last few weeks I suddenly laid down padding everywhere - by the time she was born I had little pouchy hamster cheeks Grin so fully expect to be the same this time round too. You can totally get away with it when pregnant though so might as well make the most of it.

I think the tops definitely make you look bigger..but I love that!

Sophia1984 · 07/02/2016 20:55

Has anyone else had really bad indigestion pains? For the last few hours I've been so uncomfortable - I feel short of breath and it hurts under my ribs with twinges in my stomach. It feels like trapped wind but worse :-(

Sophia1984 · 08/02/2016 01:43

That should read: has anyone ended up in A&E for four hours with trapped wind because the 111 operator thought they were having a heart attack and insisted on sending an ambulance (later changed by paramedic to a taxi - thank god!) Blush

FourForYouGlenCoco · 08/02/2016 08:19

Oh Sophia you poor thing! Better safe than sorry I guess, but not ideal for you. Hope you're home and tucked up in bed now with the day off for a bit of R&R, sounds like you need it!

Fizzyboo · 08/02/2016 10:42

Only today to get through now, I've got my scan tomorrow!!!
I think once I know it's really there I'll be able to chill out a bit and enjoy it rather than worrying it's not there you know?
It's not till 3pm but it is tomorrow at least!!

13+5

squigglepants · 08/02/2016 12:24

My older kids will be 7 and 9 when this one arrives. There is only 19 months between them so it's going to be weird having such a big gap this time.

MrsZumbaDancer · 08/02/2016 12:33

Never take kids to soft play when preggers! I'm knackered chasing round after DS.. And thought it wise not to squeeze through the rollers!

lilygirl81 · 08/02/2016 12:40

Sophia how are you feeling today? Trapped wind is agony, I can completely understand

strandedabroad · 08/02/2016 12:44

Hello from Italy!

We came over to tell my family, everyone is over the moon. It's been a great weekend. My mum treated me like I was of glass and wouldn't let me do anything or carry my bag up the stairs! Little does she know that I've been lugging all my bags, shopping, laundry since day 1, and I wouldn't expect any different. I take it easy if things are too heavy, it was only a weekend bag!

Had my dating scan on Thursday which was fine, although I had had my early scan for the Harmony so I was fairly sure things would be ok.

Definitely have the beginnings of a bump - will post a photo later today. We're not telling the rest of our UK family and friends for another little while as we're waiting to see them, so I'm going to have to hide it a bit.

If anyone is interested there are a few pairs of the H&M Mama over the bump skinny jeans on eBay, new with tags, in a few different sizes. I find them fab!!

13+6 today!

Jw35 · 08/02/2016 12:57

Have fun in Italy Stranded!

Update I am after all going to be tested to see if I'm a match for my sister! The doctors said I can if I want to as they may need me later if another match can't be found.

I'm slightly confused as they had said she didn't have time to wait but maybe they're just covering all bases?

Anyway I can just have a blood test rather than the minor op so will be doing that. Got to wait for a pack in the post and take it to docs.

I'm 15+2 today and feeling fine just tired! I feel like this pregnancy is going fast but could be all thats going on!

Sophia1984 · 08/02/2016 14:03

Thanks lily and GlenCoCo All well now and off work as didn't get to bed till 2 :)
Was so, so painful! To be honest, I felt better before I got to hospital, but 111 were so insistent I felt like I should go! Reaffirmed my decision to go to Newcastle for birth, as 'local' hospital is such a pain to get to!

Christinedonna · 08/02/2016 15:59

Anyone else battling diarrhoea?

prettyflowers111 · 08/02/2016 16:03

I've also had the most horrific indigestion, actually having to lie on the floor type pain. It makes me laugh when you hear someone say 'oh I've terrible heart burn/indigestion" while rubbing their chest and going about their daily business. They've no idea! I feel your pain I really do, it can be crippling to the point of not being able to stand up straight.

Still only told my parents and parents in law. 12 week scan a week today, I'm so excited.

Maternity clothes are very tempting, I wear skinny jeans and trousers and after a while I need to undo the top button to get some comfort.

bearhuggy · 08/02/2016 17:30

Hi everyone, hope Monday is going well!

jw just seen your sis update, sounds to me like they are covering all bases and testing you as a 'just in case' for a later date perhaps. Great that you are able to do a simple blood test. My fingers are crossed they find a match, have your brothers results come back yet??

stranded Italy sounds lovely and so nice you got to tell your Mumma, such a special thing to do isn't it, especially face to face.

everyone's bumps looking lovely! Mine is feeble in comparisonConfused...although I really am noticing it sticking out in the mornings which is rather bizarre!

Anyone had / thinking about getting an UPPAbaby pram system thing??

15 + 3

Biscuitswithtea · 08/02/2016 18:09

Bear we got a Vista for ds. He will be 3 in June. It has done amazingly well. And will do for dc2 too. I liked that it could face either way for as long as you like. We got a snugseat insert for ds so that he could be in the buggy mode a little earlier than 6m. He had terrible reflux so propping him up helped. As a result he also napped in it for AGES and frankly it was worth every penny. The integrated sun visor is surprisingly handy.
It's only downside is that it is fairly bulky and heavy. But it's so easy to push that the weight doesn't matter. And I say that even having bumped it up and down stairs a lot!

But really, most people love their prams for their own reasons. Do go and try a few before you buy. Prams are expensive. Vistas/iCandys/Bugaboos/etc are v expensive!

MrsZumbaDancer · 08/02/2016 20:03

bear one of my friends had the uppababy vista and loved it so I tried it. Neither me nor dh are tall and I found it a bit high, even in the lowest setting. I also found the fold difficult to master (dh managed fine!)

Such a personal choice I think :) I loved my icandy peach and will do for this dc still. My friends rave about the baby jogger city mini.

Go try some out, we spent ages in John Lewis and an independent baby shop near us deciding Smile

Christinedonna · 08/02/2016 20:41

Is everyone still taking folic acid/pregnacare? I gave up even trying to remember about a week ago. Is that really bad??

Sophia1984 · 08/02/2016 21:31

You don't need the folic acid after the first trimester, but it's not a problem to keep taking it. If you can get all the nutrients from your diet I think that's fine.

Mslg · 08/02/2016 22:09

You still will need a vitamin d supplement though, you can get it on its own.
