Clara totally downloaded the pelvic floor app thanks! Went to a comedy gig last night, and as 'piss your pants funny' as it was, I certainly want to avoid any literal pant pissing!! Wink

bearhuggy · 06/02/2016 12:20

clara thanks so much for the app tip, just downloaded!!

m2b I am a skier and had two trips planned for this season but have decided to cancel both as I am not comfortable skiing whilst pregnant. Although I am an experienced skier my worry was other people on the piste, so often have I had a novice or child plough into me at varying speeds and I wouldn't want to risk it! You could always go and enjoy the break and being up in the mountain air, lots of walking trails too which would be lovely. Totally up to you though and how comfortable you feel.

windy and grey here in London but off out for a walk and lunch then seeing the movie Room later, hear its a tear jerker !

Fizzyboo · 06/02/2016 12:24

Ooh enjoy the film huggy! I saw it a little while ago and totally a tear jerker! Excellent film Smile

MrsSantaClause · 06/02/2016 13:32

I read the book, and really want to see the film, but can only find it on at 10pm near me! Think I'll wait for it to go to dvd..

More lovely scan pics!

My sister in Australia has said that she wants to buy me a pregnancy present and suggested a massage Smile im so excited, but think I might wait til I'm a bit bigger and achey..

quitecrunchy · 06/02/2016 15:30

Hi all, we had our 'to impatient to wait for the dating scan' scan today and all's well with baby! So relieved and happy to see the wee heartbeat and our wee one wriggling away. Dated me at 5 days which will make it 14+3 by the time our NHS scan comes round. I'm wondering if that's too late for the nuchal fold measurements, so going to call on Monday.

Congrats to everyone who had their scan yesterday! Lovely photos. I'll post one when I get a chance to get on my laptop.

Thinking of you jw and your lovely sis. We're all crossing our fingers and sending good vibes xxx

M2B816 · 06/02/2016 16:30

Thanks bear and mrszumba. I'll ride along and see how I feel. I might just end up on the baby slopes for an hour each day and take it easy. OH can take my lessons instead. Can't wait for a week of fluffy snow on the mountains!

Sophia1984 · 06/02/2016 16:51

DP and I are telling my parents about pregnancy over dinner tonight and I'm really scared! I feel like a teenager (Am nearly 32!)

Jw35 · 06/02/2016 17:19

I'm really touched by all your lovely comments. Thank you all so much!

Feel really guilty as loads of lovely scan pics up and I Haven't commented!

15 weeks today! Congrats to all the scans that went well! It was such a relief when I had mine.

15 weeks today! Madness! Gone so fast

Christinedonna · 06/02/2016 17:38

Major hats off to anyone that's kept it a secret this long!! Everyone knew within a week (family and close friends). JW it is going so fast! It's always odd seeing your date as at the beginning we were the same

silverstar77 · 06/02/2016 19:19

m2b
I'm a skier and as part of my job organised a ski trip in January when I was 10 weeks.
Midwife and doc both said fine as baby protected by pelvis.
It was fine, but I am a good skier and didn't fall and avoided skiing to close to anyone else. Walked back up a really steep black as it didn't feel right and skied slower than usual knowing I was in control every turn.
In a busy resort I may not have been comfortable but ours was quiet..
I actually felt the best I've felt all trimester with minimal sickness too.
You have to do what you're comfortable with and feel in control with, maybe as a second week skier you may fall more? Unlikely to do any harm to baby but would you be comfortable?
X

Jw35 · 06/02/2016 20:23

Chiristine what's your date? I got put forward at my scan by a week!

Christinedonna · 06/02/2016 21:29

Oh, when we first found out we were the same as our LMP was 28th of Octover. I'm now 13+2 and due 11th August

Jw35 · 07/02/2016 07:58

Yes my LMP was the 28th oct! Isn't that strange! I thought I was due August 5th until the scan! You must have been put back a bit? So weird how that's over a week and a half different yet we both got pregnant exactly the same time! Shock

TattieHowkerz · 07/02/2016 08:42

Congratulation every one with recent scans!

I'm 12 weeks now, scan on Thursday. I'm a little nervous as I'm getting on a bit (38) and am diabetic and epileptic. At least it isn't too much longer to wait. All being well we will then have to decide when to tell DD, who is 4. She has noticed my fat gut, and I'm sure people will start commenting soon. Also need to decide when to tell work. I waited til 17 weeks last time, but not so sure that is realistic as I'm showing a lot more.

The time seems to be flying in!

Biscuitswithtea · 07/02/2016 09:01

Just been catching up. JW I'm so sorry to read about your sister. She sounds extraordinary and amazing. I hope you are all getting the support you need.

Congrats to the scans :)

We went to see Room last night. Not a good film to watch when pregnant. I sobbed so much during it (tears dripping off my chin!) that I almost had to walk out!! DH cried too and we just wanted to race home and cuddle ds who was being babysat. It ends well but goodness what an emotional rollercoaster!

PickleBot · 07/02/2016 10:17

Tattie my DS is 4 too, I'm glad to see someone else with the same age gap! DS will be 5 by the time this baby is born and I'm mildly worried the gap might be too big. But not a lot you can do about it taking 2 years to conceive is there! Good luck with your scan x

hgleslie89 · 07/02/2016 11:13

Well that's me in maternity jeans at 15+1. My old tops still fit, but can't tell whether my wee bump is in fact the baby or all the pick and mix I've been eating.

Belager · 07/02/2016 15:10

Hi all, sorry I've been so quiet of late.

Is anyone still struggling with tiredness/insomnia? I'm 12+4 and am still yet to have a full nights sleep! It's affecting my work to the point I'm starting to panic, (I'm a teacher).

Nausea seems to have ramped up too, but apparently that shows the 'beginning of the end' of MS so fx!

I'm glad others are starting to wear maternity clothes, I have a noticeable bump now and colleagues have started to ask. Scan is on Tuesday, can't wait!

jw fx one of your brothers are a match x

Christinedonna · 07/02/2016 15:39

I brought a whole maternity wardrobe a few days ago and I'm LOVING it! The jeans are a bit loose as I accidentally got the size up AND maternity but I'm sure il fill them out soon! I'm still exhausted. I got up at 9 to feed the dog today, went back to bed until mid day, was up for an hour and went back for a lay down. Is anyone having a lot of discharge? I've read it's normal as the extra blood that's in the area but it's horrible. I constantly feel wet

Christinedonna · 07/02/2016 15:40

Oh and people are noticing my bump too! Especially at the end of the day and after a cuppa!

Jw35 · 07/02/2016 17:09

Christine I do and I smell BlushI have the wear pads and shower twice a day!

Mslg · 07/02/2016 17:10

Christine same as you, feeling very tired still. I'm 14 +1, thought fatigue was meant to reduce in 2nd trimester Confused also loving my maternity clothes even though I'm not showing yet, just so much more comfortable. I can see the start of a bump because I can't suck my gut in anymore but it's not noticeable to anyone else.

Also getting more discharge. Sometimes just really wet nicks but today it was a lump of thick, stringy white stuff? No bad smell, itchiness or strange colour so I'm just putting it down to another gross pregnancy related thing.

Mslg · 07/02/2016 17:12

Jw is the smell like a semen type smell that you would get after DTD? Mine smells like that Blush

FourForYouGlenCoco · 07/02/2016 17:48

Tattie and Pickle big age gap here too, this baby is due to arrive less than a fortnight before DD's 4th birthday. I'm a bit worried about it too but in some ways I think it will work out better, I've seen how hard it's been for my friends who have smaller age gaps.
Still knackered here too, definitely better than it was in 1st tri but not running on 100% by any means.
Went to my friend's bday party last night, took about 4 outfits in an attempt to find something that made me look pregnant and not just chubby - think it did the job! It's mostly dinner & bloat, but I just didn't admit that Grin

pickle my DD will be 5 by the time the baby arrives, I reckon there are a lot of positives. She is old enough to get properly excited/fetch stuff when needed/not be too disorientated if I'm away in hospital for a few days/wait 5 seconds if I'm busy.. hopefully. I'm also really glad I'll be off work for her first year at school.
