Christine - could it be connected to a nosebleed? I've been having a few and if they happen at night then sometimes the blood travels to my throat instead grim

Currently back in bed for the second time today. Not queasy but the tiredness has hit like a ton of bricks today.

It's been lovely to have so much happy scan news. Counting down the days til Tues am now!

Mslg · 30/01/2016 17:55

So exciting re the movements! Have to admit I'm looking forward to that stage very much.

I'm 13 weeks today and feeling more pregnant than I did last week. I'm still sick, still tired, have to drink gallons of water cos if I don't I get a horrible cystitis type feeling. Had to drag my ass up to sainsburys last night at 10.50 to get gaviscon. Still horribly constipated and bloated... I thought as you near the second trimester things were meant to be easier?

On a lighter note me and DP went to mothercare today and had a look at all the travel systems and cots which was nice. I held myself back from buying a tiny unisex baby gro but did get myself some nice maternity jeans and bras. Good bit of retail therapy!!

Christinedonna · 30/01/2016 17:56

I haven't been retching a lot I don't think and I've had no nose bleeds. I went back to bed and have pretty much slept all day and I feel a lot better

lilygirl81 · 30/01/2016 18:00

crunchy it was me that had the private scan, at Baby Scanning since they were the cheapest.

strandedabroad · 30/01/2016 18:02

Christine, I had that once in December when I was being sick quite a bit. All I'd eaten was bread so it was odd, but I was so out of it that I didn't think much of it. I thought that it could have been gastric juices/bile, but it's not that colour apparently. It was an one off for me and I was fine after.

MrsSantaClause · 30/01/2016 18:03

That's good news re the tea jw I've been off it since early on and can't wait to have a cup of tea again. I'm a bit scared to try invade it makes me feel ill again. Confused

PickleBot · 30/01/2016 19:06

IT moved!!!! I just felt that flip over feeling that can only be a baby! I've been wondering if I've been feeling it for a while, but it could always have been ibs. This is defiantly a baby moving!

jw Brew cheers!

Christine can you leave a message for your mw? I left one at midnight for mine when I was getting really bad ligament pains and was worried it might be a cyst and they called me the next morning for a chat. It might just be an odd period thing that they can explain away.

I'm feeling a bit guilty, DS has spent today being very 4 years old and because I'm tired I snapped at him more than I should have done. Ah well tomorrow is another day, just start over.

Jw35 · 30/01/2016 19:35

Cheers pickle! BrewSmile

If it's first baby some may not feel until 18+ weeks. My last pregnancy (my 2nd) I felt movement at 15 weeks so this has been the earliest! Nothing since this morning though!

PickleBot · 30/01/2016 21:26

This is my 2nd, so expected it to be earlier. It's so exciting!

quitecrunchy · 30/01/2016 22:06

That's where I booked for lily, were they ok? Expecting it to be a bit wham-bam-thankyou-mam for the money but as long as it does the job!

Christine hope all's well and your pink spew was just a one off.

Pickle, jw how exciting, what does it feel like? Can you describe?

lilygirl81 · 30/01/2016 22:55

crunchy I found the sonographer's accent a bit hard to understand when he was chatting, but he was very clear during the scan and very friendly. You get a CD with images on it, and get to hear the heartbeat, probably about 10 mins in total in the room. He did jiggle my belly to make the baby move about, slightly uncomfortable with a full bladder! It's definitely worth it for the reassurance.

Jw35 · 31/01/2016 00:02

Crunchy- a bit like a butterfly fluttering very low down or a little fish flipping! When the baby is bigger it's stronger and more obvious. By around 30 weeks you start seeing little bumps sticking out where the baby is kicking or stretching. By 35 weeks or so with my last one I could tell where her little bum was! It's mad!

Salene · 31/01/2016 02:04

I'm 13 weeks also been feeling movement for abouts week but this time round I know what it feels like

With first baby I never felt it till about 15/16 weeks as didn't know what to expect

My belly is very much got the pregnant look and no normal trouser fit me now.

Christinedonna · 31/01/2016 02:15

I keep getting a flipping feeling where my Uterus is. I know it can't be baby when this is my first..can it? #geniusacrobatbaby

Flybynight1 · 31/01/2016 12:08

crunchy I went for an early scan with babybond-they do quick check up scans for cheaper though past 13 weeks I think?

Christinedonna · 31/01/2016 15:26

So I've gone from 11+5 to 12+3. I knew I'd be put forward! We have one VERY wriggly baby! It took so long to measure as it wouldn't stop jumping about!

quitecrunchy · 31/01/2016 18:47

Thanks lily good to know what to expect! Fly was that the one on George St? It's the one on Broomhill Rd I made an appointment for. Good to know that later check ups are cheaper if needed down the line.

Lovely scan pic Christine! Sounds like you've got an active one on your hands Smile

prettyflowers111 · 31/01/2016 19:16

Hi all, have been absent all week as on holiday at centre parcs. We went to the one up in Whinfell and I was disappointed, it's not a patch on tge Longleat one!

Had a bit of a bleed while away, total panic and nothing I could do. Was just brown in my undies and pink streaked discharge when wiping. Ordered a doppler on amazon and paid for Sunday delivery to try and put my mind at ease. After about 20 minutes of searching I finally found it! Yay!

So lovely to see some scan pictures happening! Mine isn't for another 2 weeks. Booooo!!

Having lots of pains low down since yesterday afternoon, but don't know if just stretching, pains cos of constipation or something to worry about. Will give it a day or 2 and see what happens.

I can't wait to feel movement!! With my dd the only way I could describe it early on was like when you have an eye twitch except in your abdomen. Very weird!

Pretty 10+1

M2B816 · 31/01/2016 20:57

Nice one Christine! Glad it all went well. Mine is tomorrow at 8.20am. Don't think I'll be able to sleep tonight. I'm excited as well as worried if I don't see anything tomorrow. Fingers crossed it'll all be ok !

lilygirl81 · 31/01/2016 21:49

pretty sorry the patch wasn't up to your expectations, that's always annoying.

Christine great pictures, sounds like a good scan.

I've had a dodgy tummy all day, probably just constipation, but now got terrible reflux too. Munching through gaviscon tablets and hoping it goes away...still, just means the baby is growing so trying to stay positive.

Jw35 · 31/01/2016 23:52

Congrats Christine! Lovely pics! You could be feeling movement already, everyone's different!

Sorry Pretty hopefully it was nothing and finding a heartbeat is a good sign! I still can't find it on my Doppler at 14+1 grr!

Christinedonna · 01/02/2016 00:11

it was clearly a very active baby so it wouldn't surprise me! Also, OH isn't convinced but I'm sure I saw a willy on the screen!

prettyflowers111 · 01/02/2016 09:00

It took so much patients to find jw. And I'm quite a skinny minny so stupidly assumed I'd find it straight away. Ended up so frustrated when all I could here was my own pulse. Now that I know roughly where I'm looking I think it'll get easier. Even just a tiny movement and I loose it. I've got a sonoline b it was about £35. The display is inaccurate, counted hb at 115 but when timing and counting myself for 15 seconds and multiplying by 4 I keep getting around 160-170 ish. Perhaps as baby develops and the hb is a little clearer it'll get more accurate.

FourForYouGlenCoco · 01/02/2016 09:47

Just checking in, been nonstop this weekend. We've found a house we love and will be putting ours on the market today and hopefully making an offer, eek! The house is great but it's in a tiny little village, very rural, I've always been a city girl so it'll be a real adjustment! I am so excited though, just keeping everything crossed all goes smoothly.
Lovely to see everyone getting good Harmony results & scans. Our NT risk factor came back as 1:23000 or something so I'm happy with that.
Christine, they all have a little willy (or what looks like one) at 12w...but I think your bub looks very boyish! Sounds like you've got a busy one in there either way.
M2B hope all went well at your scan, can't wait for an update!
I'm 14+3 today and feeling good, still in that 'are they? aren't they?' stage with movements but they're getting stronger! Was listening to baby last night and it kicked the Doppler really hard - I definitely felt that! Like being prodded from the inside.
Jw any more news on your sister/if your brothers are matches? Still thinking of you all.

crunchy yeah that's the one. They offered it from 7 weeks which I think is earlier than the other place-it was more expensive though but it was good to have the early reassurance (especially since my 12 weeks scan isn't until this Friday when I'm 13+5!!!)

Happy 13 weeks Alfie!!

Been very distracted from the whole pregnancy thing, our dog has had a litter of puppies (planned!) so at the moment I'm sleep deprived and up to my neck in washing and puppy poop. All good training though I'm sure...!
