foodie I've got my 3rd attempt at the test tomorrow, not feeling very confident though! Nerves got me the first two times, and if I don't get it tomorrow I'm parking it (ba-dum-tish) until after baby arrives. Hubby drives and public transport is good here so I'll manage for a bit. Fuck Hendon's less than 50% pass rate though :(

MyNameIsSuz · 18/01/2016 17:00

Ooh good luck trijo! I passed on my third too, I'd pushed past the nerves and got a much nicer examiner than the first two times (same horrible woman), he put me at ease and we chatted on the way round, much better! Fingers crossed for you.

MrsBenWyatt · 18/01/2016 17:40

Good luck Trijo Flowers. I also passed third time (failed on reverse park first two times, but with no minors Angry).

Fingers tightly crossed.

I have ordered crochet stuff to try and while away bed rest! Looking forward to it arriving.

Me624 · 18/01/2016 17:43

Jealous of those who are finishing sooner than me! 5 more weeks of work for me.

Good luck to the ladies learning to drive! I learnt when I was 17/18 but it took me almost a year and 4 attempts to pass my test! I hope you are both more competent than me Grin (although I do consider myself to be a pretty good driver now, 11 years later)

docmcstuffins1 · 18/01/2016 17:59

Good luck for tomorrow TriJo.

4.5 weeks left at work for me, counting down the hours days now!

I love the blanket Dobby, wish I was more crafty, I just haven't got the patience!

RhubarbAndMustard · 18/01/2016 18:53

Good luck tomorrow Trijo!

Nicely done Marmite. I always found the chuggers at Kings Cross totally took advantage of my pregnant status 3 years ago. I guess they thought I was a soft touch and stopped me every time. They got a very sharp 'I'm in a rush' as I scurried waddled past.

Had a minor panic this morning and thought my waters might have started going as had unexplained very damp underwear. But as nothing since can only assume it was wee Blush. .....pelvic floor, pelvic floor, pelvic floor.

neh205 · 18/01/2016 19:08

trijo hope it's third time lucky!

Having a complete panic as since yesterday morning I've been feeling really ... slack . Bump has soften and is much lower, boobs feel less full and the stretched hard feeling in both has gone. Feel as though bump has shrunk! Baby is moving but very sporadic and not half as much as he usually does.

No leakage or other pain. Could this just be him moving into position? The thought of sitting at the walk in centre for hours when I'm so tired already is making me teary. Not sure what to do for the best! !

IndomitabIe · 18/01/2016 19:09

Good luck Tri!

I think my twins-carrying friend has her test soon. Hope she passes, I'll get to see more of her! (And her twins!)

I am tired today. No CSC reasons, just Monday-tired. Only 8 more Mondays to go.

I keep having he head-grinding-into-bladder thing. I was hurrying out of work earlier trying to lift my belly up to relieve the pressure! Glad most people had left already!

neh205 · 18/01/2016 19:09

I've just hit 31 weeks btw, has anyone else experienced this??

IndomitabIe · 18/01/2016 19:11

Neh, sounds like a position shift. Why not ring your mw for a chat instead.

Octo baby swiveled round again yesterday and has been doing an Alien impression trying to bust out. But it's either that or suspicious quietness when he's facing my back.

KnitsBakesAndReads · 18/01/2016 19:33

dobby, I love your green blanket! Would you mind saying what pattern you used? (As you might guess from my username I'm a bit of a craft addict!) Thank you!

Ohwoolballs · 18/01/2016 20:04

neh I think I am having that too! My bump feels like it's lower down - so much that my baggy jammy bottoms waistband has started to dig in, if I pull them down any lower my arse will hang out 😐 Also had, ahem, sweaty pants in the morning. Heat and thrush combo I think.

The baby seems to have turned, feet aren't quite as under the ribcage like they were last week.

I have just demolished a 14inch pizza and chips with DP because it's Monday. I will be doing garlicky burps all evening 😁

dobby that blanket is lovely! Next time I get my knitting bag out I'll show you what wee jumpers I've been working on.

Ohwoolballs · 18/01/2016 20:05

knitsbakesandreads hello!

dobbythedoggy · 18/01/2016 20:38

knits the pattern for the green fish blanket is free download from raverly. It should come up up you search for festive fish crochet. There are knitting paterns too, but I loved the crochet one as it was worked in one go. (And dd always steals one needle if I attempt to knit...) If not feel free to pm me and I'll attempt to send the pattern on to you. The little green one was an experiment with an endless sunburst square. The other folded one is a reversable sweetheart ripple.

indom dd was November born. For a three year old she's actually pretty fantastic, but has her moments like they all do. Now we're using the living room and she has more space to play her behaviour has improved ten fold! Do think there something in the air locally, loads of her friends have been or are being crazzy at the moment.

neh I feel like bump has dropped down quite a bit in the last week, I'll be 34 weeks on wednesday. Less presure on ribs and more down below, very different from what I experienced with dd when she was breech. Finding all the over the bump materinty trousers I have a bit too tight at the bottom. Loads of movement, first really strong kicks in the ribs today, so might be worth calling your midwife if you think movement has changed. Looking forward to seeing the midwife on thursday to see what she thinks.

Stupidly proud of myself tonight, managed to light our stove using cole for the first time. Not lit a fire since before I was married and living with my parents in their open fireplace. Dh who is always cold just walked in and complained it's too hot to wear his big jumper.

neh205 · 18/01/2016 21:04

Thanks all. Pressure on ribs is completely gone which is feeling very weird. I'm so used to kicking one hundred to the dozen that it feels very strange. He is still kicking though just different sensation. Think I'll monitor over night & call mid wife in the morning.
Feeling like a very protective mummy now! And this is just the start of it!

wool I have food envy! Garlic mushrooms have been one of my cravings. Wonder if OH could be persuaded to get some for me .....

1frenchfoodie · 18/01/2016 22:22

Good luck for your driving test TriJo. Not brave enough to put in for mine yet as I seem to regress whenever I move from instructors car to ours. DH knocked off a wingmirror the other day and I am secretly glad of the respite while he replaces it.

Me624 · 19/01/2016 03:54

Hi all, just checking into CSC!

neh I agree with others, it does sound like your bump could have dropped? Mine seems to have changed slightly in the last few days (I'm 33+4) - my belly button which was almost completely out (essentially flat against my skin) has gone back in a bit again? Still plenty of movement though so not concerned.

gemsparkle84 · 19/01/2016 04:08

Me I'm also checking in...

Currently sat in spare bedroom having just moved in 20 mins ago. I have a stinker of a cold, tissue up one nostril and just finished a pack of Belvita Breakfast Biscuits -considering going downstairs for another pack- Anyway this is really annoying. Apart from last night and tonight the few nights before had been ok, apart from tossing and turning I was managing to get straight back to sleep!

What has woken you up?

Me624 · 19/01/2016 04:27

gem I woke up needing the loo and then couldn't get back to sleep Sad decided to sit up with my iPad for a bit and try again soon. It's my first bad night in a while too so can't complain too much really. Hope you manage to sleep again soon!

Ohwoolballs · 19/01/2016 07:01

Morning all, looks like a bit of a CSC for a few of us! I resisted picking up my phone and just lay there miserable. Apart from needing wees what does everyone do? Read? Craft?

Finally got up about ten to six for some crunchy nut and some telly. I ended up watching some American birth hospital type show and I couldn't believe just how invasive their births are! Obviously, when I'm birthing away if I needed or wanted help I will get it, but on this show the doctors say things like "you're progressing great! Let's hook you up to some pitocin!" Yeeesh! I realise healthcare over there is a business, it just grinded my gears. All of the ladies are laid down and in stirrups while twenty people mill about the room - definitely not what I would want!

Anyway, best go get DP up.

neh how are you and bump feeling today?

Ohwoolballs · 19/01/2016 07:02

gem Sprry you're feeling so rotten. You have my express orders to go out and get a super duper posh hot chocolate with all the trimmings - even if your cold is so bad you can barely taste it Flowers

Paperblank · 19/01/2016 07:46

Morning everyone, feeling a bit me at the minute, and a bit frightened/worried - I've not got long to go and I feel unprepared (I know I'm being daft. I think it's the knowledge that one day soon I'm going to be home alone with this little person and I'm going to have to manage all by myself.

FTM worries I guess.

Hope everyone has a good day, we've got out last ante-natal class today, do you think they'll let me do them all over again? Confused

QforCucumber · 19/01/2016 08:11

Morning all!

Fingers crossed for your test tri hope the bump makes them feel for you and just pass you anyway.
And strong coffee to all those in the CSC!

Morning at mau for me - fell down the front steps after locking the door to go to work. probably all ok but scared myself silly and my knees look like a 7 year old boys with the scrapes- and god does it sting!! neighbour saw me go and came running out -walked me back in the house and made me a cup of tea bless her. Had a cry and rang mau who have said to pop over and they'll check all is well.

neh205 · 19/01/2016 08:14

I was in the CSC club last night too - was up all night worrying about my diminishing bump. Calling the midwife this morning to check in, thanks for asking wool :)

Crossing fingers he has just shifted position but feels so weird to have space under my ribs again !!

paper I'm FTM too & swinging wildly from just being excited to meet him to being terrified too! Also feeling very under prepared have barely picked up a baby book so much has been going on with house & work. Need to start engaging in tgongs now as I know nothing about babies! Also my nct class doesn't start until 4th Feb so hoping I get to go to all of them as will be 33 weeks when they start.

How is everyone else getting on with antenatal /nct ?

Crispylicious · 19/01/2016 08:25

I'm a second time mum and feel massively underprepared!! Have so much to do at home and work! Like you say neh, I swing between massively excited to meet and hold the baby, and then dreading the sleep deprivation. I just don't know how I'm going to manage the lack of sleep. I keep telling myself I at least won't have the pregnancy knackerdness so it'll be a bit easier than CSC?!

We started nct last week. We did it last time, but the teacher was crap. I've forgotten so much! The other ladies seem a nice bunch too.

q and neh hope all's ok with the MW today.

Am v envious of all those who can craft. I leave that to my mum :)
