Oh, and what are you using me? I can recommend palmers tummy butter, it's kind of the texture of wax/vaseline and easily the best thing I've found.

I'm finally seeing movement from the outside today Smile I've been feeling it for a while but hadn't seen it jiggling about before!

Missikat · 29/11/2015 19:33

Thanks so much for all your lovely thoughts. I am very proud to introduce our littlest man, Zach Benjamin. He's doing well, still jaundiced so under the lights, but breathing for himself now with only the little tubes in his nose. We haven't yet had a cuddle but have been able to do 'comfort holding' through the holes in the incubator, basically placing our hands on his head/body or legs which really calms him down. Going to try changing our first mini nappy tonight and give him a little clean, wish me luck!

maybebabybee · 29/11/2015 19:54

Congratulations, Missikat. What a beautiful, beautiful boy. Thinking of you all and sending my very best wishes Flowers

ThePug · 29/11/2015 19:54

Oh my goodness Missi what an amazing photo - thank you for sharing it with us. And what a handsome name little Zach has. Can't quite comprehend just how tiny he must be, but he looks absolutely perfectly formed!

shieldbug · 29/11/2015 20:00

Oh missi congratulations and welcome to Zach. He looks amazing for such an early baby. Wow, first nappy change and wash; big milestones! Hope you are well; please do share the birth story when you are able.

Suz Isn't it fab when you can see the movement? Baby bug is a real wriggler jiggler and produces some great bump "heaves".

I'm going to try to post bump photo...hope it works!

BeautifulLiar · 29/11/2015 20:18

Wow, congratulations Missikat and what a gorgeous name and lovely photo!! Hope you're feeling ok? And bless you answering me about the carpets (still haven't made a decision)!

Hope you've had a nice day Q. Can't believe my baby is 3!

BeautifulLiar · 29/11/2015 20:20

Oh yes lots of insomnia and itching here too! I could have KILLED DH this morning but have now realised I was just tired and he's not all bad... dreading the sleep deprivation to come and ensuing arguments!!

Paper, hope you're feeling ok, and you Indom (I think you two have been poorly?!) xx

gemsparkle84 · 29/11/2015 20:28

Missi he looks amazing. Xx

IndomitabIe · 29/11/2015 20:33

Wow, Missi, look at him! And breathing by himself is so amazing! Huge random-Internet-stranger love for you all!

Nice bump shieldbug!

Thanks Beaut, I was a bit rough last week but nothing significant! (Despite my whining!) Save the sympathy for Paper!

MyNameIsSuz · 29/11/2015 20:35

Oh missi he looks great! Love the name too.

Me624 · 29/11/2015 20:56

Lovely picture missi, amazing news that he's breathing for himself.

Suz I've been using the Palmers tummy butter on my bump too, I agree it's brilliant. Maybe I should try it on my chest as well! I've been using a mama mio boob cream which smells lovely but isn't doing the trick, and also tried my pre-pregnancy staple which is Sanctuary body cream.

MyNameIsSuz · 29/11/2015 21:02

Ooh I've never tried that one me, is it expensive? Mothercare do an amazing nipple cream which I used a lot while breastfeeding (everyone said to get lansinoh but I hated it, so sticky, hurt my poor chomped skin), I can't remember what it was called but it was lovely and soothing... I will be stocking up again!

Missdee2014 · 29/11/2015 21:14

Wow Missi! He's so tiny yet so perfect. Hope he continues to thrive, been thinking of you loads actually.

Lovely bump Shield Smile

Trinpy · 29/11/2015 21:26

Aw lovely name you've chosen *missi, he's really beautiful Smile. Hope the first wash and nappy change went ok.

Glad I'm not the only one suffering with itchy skin - its driving me crazy at night! I'm also using a combination of plamers and sanctuary body butter.

Did anyone get any black friday bargins? I bought a changing bag but I'm not 100% convinced by it.

I also just had a mad screaming fit at dh/ds/the world because I'm so exhausted and I feel like I just need to go and sit quietly in a dark room somewhere where people are making constant demands of me. God knows how I'm going to cope with a newborn and a toddler!

Missdee2014 · 29/11/2015 21:45

On Black Friday bargains I got a couple. Got a play gym from mothercare reduced from £34.99 to £14.99! Also got my pram today - usually £595 without car seat, changing bag and pram liner. Got it today for £565 with everything to go with it including car seat, bag, liner, car seat adaptors, rain cover and cup holder. Fair chuffed at that bargain Grin
Oh, also got a hairdryer down from £44.99 to £19.99 and a tassimo from £99.99 to £29.99! Done quite well I reckon.

MoreChilliPlease · 29/11/2015 21:52

Hello everybody, just wondered if it was too late to say hello and join in?

I've been lurking around mumsnet for a while now and been meaning to pop on here. Our second baby is due on March the 20th. Smile

I've had a little look at the rest of the thread here and there and just wanted to quickly say that Missi, your little boy is gorgeous and I'm so pleased he's doing well. How was the first nappy change this evening? Hope all is well.

And to the rest of you, apologies for leaving it so late to say hello, hope it's still ok for me to squash in?

maybebabybee · 29/11/2015 22:13

Welcome chilli :) of course it's not too late!!

Me624 · 29/11/2015 22:26

Suz this is the boob cream:
www.mioskincare.co.uk/mama-mio-pregnancy-boob-tube-bust-protection-cream-100ml/11098396.html

My friend bought me the pregnancy starter kit which comes with small travel sized tubes. It's lovely smelling but as I said doesn't Seem to be helping the itching right now! I've just tried slathering my entire top half in palmers tummy butter, will report back!

Paperblank · 30/11/2015 07:38

Morning all Smile

Hello to meg and morechilli

Missi Zachary is just beautiful. I still find it amazing that there is one of those inside me!

We missed out on the black Friday bargains so we spent a couple of hours yesterday planning a smash and grab round mamas and papas, mothercare and babies r us. DH built the baby's furniture yesterday so I'm itching to get the room finished. I know the baby won't be in there for ages but I love how it's coming together and finally we'll have somewhere to stash all our baby related goodies!!

Pain is under control (thankfully) so I'm not actually feeling too bad. I get tired quickly though and can't figure out if that's to do with the meds or the fact I'm 26 + 1....probably 6 of one and half a dozen of the other!

Have a great day everyone. Keep warm!

X

Hi, can I join you ladies please? Our baby no 2 (and final) due March 25th 2016. I have a 3 year old boy now and staying in the dark as to what we're getting next. Had a rough ride with sickness until 20 weeks but I'm so relieved to say it's eased now. Anyway...looks like we'll all be spherical as a Xmas pudding come December 25th! X

Me624 · 30/11/2015 08:22

Welcome Mondi! We certainly will be big by Christmas. It's only by looking at photos that I realise how big I've got already. I am 26+3 and DH took one of me yesterday and I then looked at it against one I took 6 weeks ago just after my 20 week scan and I have ballooned in those 6 weeks!

Crispylicious · 30/11/2015 08:23

missi he's just gorgeous! And really doesn't look that tiny for his gestation- I can see flesh on those little legs! Massive congrats again and hope the nappy change went ok.

paper sorry to hear about the back issues, ouch.

Hello to newbies!

Here's a bump pic I took at 23+2. Cannot believe how huge I am already! One more day and we're into viability, phew .

hayleycookie · 30/11/2015 09:22

Missi Congratulations! How are you feeling? He looks incredible, I can't believe he's breathing on his own already!! What a little fighter you have there, I bet you're so proud already! I think we were due very close to each other, so it's lovely to see litle Zach and picture that's what my baby boy looks like right now. I hope everything's going well for you, and you're as comfortable as you can be right now.

Welcome everyone!

I have so far escaped the itchy skin, but have really chapped lips! Originally put it down to winter, but they've never been this dry before so it might be a pregnancy thing! Joy! Already counting down til I can go to bed again. Zzzzzzz

TheMshipIsBack · 30/11/2015 09:36

Zach is lovely missi! I am so impressed at him breathing on his own already. Best of luck to you both.

Welcome to the newest Marchers!

I've got intermittently itchy bump but it's not too bad so far. It's almost amusing when I'm in a meeting, find someone staring at me, and realize I've been gently scratching the side of it without thinking.
