Oh my goodness missi, I can't believe one of our thread babies is here already! Fantastic news and although I'm sure you've got a long way to go before you'll have him home, he's here and he's stable. Those extra 2 weeks will have made a world of difference. Hoping you are doing OK after the birth and look forward to hearing your story soon.

I'm having a lovely chilled out weekend. I had a work event in London on Thursday which I didn't get home from until late (left the house at 7.15am, got back 11.15pm) and that sort of day never used to phase me at all but now it's left me completely wiped out! I was so tired all day yesterday at work so am spending today doing absolutely nothing which is lovely.

QforCucumber · 28/11/2015 16:39

Congratulations missi good to hear he is stable, make sure you look after yourself too you've been through so much this last few weeks! Everyone's thoughts are with you i'm sure.

Birthday meal last night was lovely, tidy up and housework today so I can spend my 29th birthday tomorrow doing bugger all haha!
beautiful are you guys going much for your dd's birthday tomorrow? They're definitely much more fun when you're small haha.

RhubarbAndMustard · 28/11/2015 17:12

Huuge congratulations on your beautiful little boy Missi! I can't believe the first thread baby is here. Well done little flump.

Look after yourself Paper, that sounds super painful. Puts my minor back niggles into perspective! If you want to work, can you work from home and with your feet up?

ffauxlivia · 28/11/2015 18:06

wow Missi congratulations, and welcome to the world strong little Flump Star. So happy to hear he is stable, I know it's going to be a long road ahead but we're all here with you. Can't wait to hear his name and birth story when you are ready to share.

Also, can't believe you've been through all of that and are still answering our questions about carpets and pushchairs - you seem like the sweetest person and Flump is a lucky little boy to have you as a mum :)

Sending all my love and well wishes for him to get stronger every day!

vroc81 · 28/11/2015 18:18

Congratulations missi and flump so glad to hear he is stable, wishing you all the best, agree with ffaux can't believe your back helping us with buggy questions etc!

paper look after yourself, I remember when my mum slipped her disk when we were young and was completely incapacitated.. the laxative, my sister and the bed pan and leaving her until my gran got there was none of our finest hours...Blush

Trinpy · 28/11/2015 18:39

Congratulations on the safe arrival of Flump (sure you wouldn't consider Flump as a possible name choice? Wink) Missi!!! Such amazing news and I can't wait to hear your birth story.

I'm currently going through a phase of being completely exhausted all the time, so if I don't post for a couple of days its because I'm too knackered to string a coherent sentence together! I'm still lurking though and reading everyone's updates.

TheMshipIsBack · 28/11/2015 19:32

Congratulations missi and flump! So glad to hear that everything is going well so far, sending you lots of positivity and Flowers

gemsparkle84 · 28/11/2015 21:41

Wow Missi congrats!!!!! Yes I can't wait to hear about your birth story too. Glad FLUMP is doing so well and sounds like you're good too Grin. Xxx

Crispylicious · 28/11/2015 22:41

OMG congrats missi and welcome flump. That is a great weight and I'm so pleased to hear he's stable. He sounds like a little fighter and I'm sure will get stronger day by day. I hope you are ok missi and not in shock from everything you've been through x

ThePug · 28/11/2015 23:05

Oh wow Missi congratulations on your baby boy. Everything crossed that he continues to thrive. Do let us know when flump has a name Smile Hope you're feeling ok and the birth wasn't too difficult.

Happy birthday for tomorrow Q Enjoy your day of doing nothing Grin

Paper Pregnant & slipped disc - that's got to equal some mighty uncomfortableness - hope you're home now and are being waited on hand & foot for the foreseeable! Also are you diabetic? I've also been told I'll be kept in at least 24 hours after birth but I'm going in assuming it will be at least double this and will be packing my bag accordingly! As I'm now 25+2 it's a bit scary knowing baby will be here within the next 13 weeks, which sounds like not long at all...!

Starting to think about what to put in my hospital bag. Planning to go to Primark to get some cheap dark coloured nighties / nightshirts. Anyone whose done this before, roughly how many sizes above my normal pre-pregnancy size would be best to get (as they won't be specifically maternity ones)?

Ordered our pram and car seat today, with 10% off and free footmuff offer. Saved a good chunk and the local shop will keep it all at the shop for us until we want to collect so our guarantees don't start running until then, which is a great bonus! That was the last of our big ticket stuff we needed to get, so the rest (bedding, some more clothes, bath bits & pieces, nappies/wipes etc) will be bought in January sales after we've visited SiL at christmas and sorted through DNs bits she's said we're welcome to.

Missdee2014 · 28/11/2015 23:38

Congrats Missi and welcome to the world Flump! Glad he's doing ok and hope he continues to thrive. Thanks for posting to let us know he's arrived safely x

marmiteandcheeseplease · 29/11/2015 07:09

Congrats missi on safe arrival of flump - definitely come back and share your birth story when you feel ready.

Having a totally knackering weekend. We've been meaning to get the radiator in our bedroom moved since we bought the house two years ago but haven't got round to it. Anyway finally got quotes for moving the radiator and chose a plumber, rang him on Thursday and he is coming round this Tuesday. Which is great but since he had to pull floorboards up to get to the pipes, we have to almost completely our empty bedroom. And our bedroom has basically been the dumping ground in our house! DPs parents are away this weekend so we don't have anyone to help either. DP is currently dismantling our king size bed by himself at 7am. We're supposed to be going to visit friends in London today and have a 'partners yoga' class tomorrow evening so literally no time to sort the room out other than this weekend. Has been a nightmare. Though hopefully we will be replacing our crappy old one radiator with two new radiators and actually having some warmth in our room which is freezing.

Is anyone else suffering from insomnia again? I just can't seem to get to sleep at the moment will gone midnight and then wake up early. So tired Sad but telling myself there is only two weeks left of term and then my work load eases off loads!

Did anyone get the sleepyhead in the Amazon sale yesterday? I meant to have a look but totally forgot!

MyNameIsSuz · 29/11/2015 07:35

Oh no marmite, I had no idea it was in the sale! Gutted, I want one!

IndomitabIe · 29/11/2015 07:57

ThePug, from my recollection not reliable immediately post birth your belly will be about the same size as it is/was around 20ish weeks. So it's a good time to buy bits now.

Me624 · 29/11/2015 09:41

Pug I have just bought some long sleeved t shirts from Primark and my usual size (12) still fits! They are very stretchy material though. I bought a few one size up as well for when I get even bigger. A lot of their pyjamas and presumably nightdresses as well come in 10-12 or 14-16 so I'm planning to get the 14-16 which should be ample.

dobbythedoggy · 29/11/2015 10:55

missi congratulations on flump's arrival, I hope he makes steady process and that you are recovering well as well.

pug pre-pregnancy with dd I was in 12/14 primark nighties. When I was pregnant with her I got lots of really oversize ones with a button down front. Wore them through pregancy for length and then found them invaluable for night feeds for well over a year. Just had a look through and I've got a couple of 16-18 and a few more 20-22. I can't stand clingy night clothes so always go for baggy nighties, so I think it depends on your tastes. I also had some propper nursing nighties from mamas and papas but found the primark ones more practical for my November baby.

Is anyone else dribbling loads? I keep waking myself up with dribble running down my arm and chin, horriably uncomfortable. Fell asleep on the sofa yesterday afternoon and woke up with a soggy jummper! Had it with dd too looking forward to it stopping again in march.

ThePug · 29/11/2015 10:57

Fab, thanks Indom & Me - I usually wear an 8 but was wondering if I should be getting things as big as 18-20, but sounds unlikely! No way am I braving shopping today though in this weather and with the hordes at the Christmas market.

Marmite Snap on the radiator front! Do you mind me asking how much your quotes were for? Ours is a very simple move, as the new location is the opposite side of the bedroom but directly above where the boiler is. We do need a new, slightly smaller radiator though. The first quote I had was £366 inc vat and the second £312. I'd hoped it'd be nearer £200, but don't really want to faff about getting more quotes, as would like it moved asap before all the nursery furniture arrives in 2 weeks time, as like you the carpet & floorboards have to come up.

I didn't see the Sleepyhead on Amazon yesterday (it was on at 7.30am I think Hmm ) but it was on earlier in the week reduced to £79.99 from the normal £99.99. Wasn't a big enough reduction for me for a 'might be nice to have'.

Missdee2014 · 29/11/2015 11:10

Thought I'd share a bump pic as we haven't done so for a while. This was taken Friday at 24 +6.

IndomitabIe · 29/11/2015 13:31

Nice bump missdee!

I bought a couple of sets of supermarket PJs in size 14 last time. Nice and cheap and with button fronts for BF access. Still got them in the drawer so I'll reuse them.

I've just splashed out on a Jojo maternity parka. It was more expensive than the Vertbaudet one is in the sale, but... well, I can wear it now!

tappitytaptap · 29/11/2015 13:45

Congratulations Missi and welcome to the world flump. Keeping everything crossed for continued good progress for your little boy.

TheMshipIsBack · 29/11/2015 13:46

If anyone is looking to get a baby jogger city mini, I saw the purple version is going to be on an Amazon lightning deal coming up tomorrow morning. Keep an eye on it though, they sometimes change the times!

Paperblank · 29/11/2015 14:17

Missi massive congratulations and big hugs to you all! Update when you can but for now concentrate on your little chap.

Hello Flump! Good boy for staying put as long as you did Smile

Awwww our first baby is here!! You're still a March Mum and baby though xxxx

Hello Ladies, my due date is end of March next year..I was going through the threads and feel I am not the only one....

Me624 · 29/11/2015 19:06

Welcome Meghana22! Do you know what you're having or waiting for a surprise?

Is anyone else experiencing itchy skin. My bump isn't too bad as long as I keep moisturising it every day but I am getting really itchy on my chest above my boobs, and also underneath my boobs! Have checked and I don't have a rash but it's been bothering me for a few weeks now, must just be one of those pregnancy niggles. Trying all sorts of different moisturisers to see if any of them will make a difference, no success so far.

MyNameIsSuz · 29/11/2015 19:25

My skin's really sore and dry, me, and a little itchy at times. Only on my stomach really. And it's impossible to keep it buttered all the time! Just keep an eye on it as itching can be a symptom of a liver thing in pregnancy.

Welcome meghana!
