Evening all,
Rosie I wouldn't, and didn't, get a cot bumper. They're questionable in terms of air flow, and really only a visual benefit for parents. I don't remember DS having any issues bumping himself on the bars (though he would have used it as a step out of the cot by 18 months!).
Epic jumper, Rosie!
Sympathy for your poor pelvis, TriJo.
I'm with Suz on the hospital bag amendments. Also add a ton of chocolate/snacks, I was so so starving last time! I think I might get some of those water wipes for hospital, are they actually just water? Part of me says 'stuff it, just use wipes' but the other part of me is desperate to make sure his skin is well colonised by 'good' bacteria!
Love your jumper too, Suz! Love a bit of sparkle!
Ooh, the spray bottle is a great idea TheMship!
Oh, ThePug! You poor thing! I'd have reacted the same way! Glad you got the first class ticket. Make sure you really clearly explain the issue to the taxi company.
Lol at the penguin mix-up, dobby! Not very helpful, sorry!
How odd, ffaux, I'd always thought they'd go all-out. I can see why you'd want a British Christmas more than ever.
I haven't done any nesting or buying (bar some sleepsuits) either!
DH is griping that he's got no money (after bills, I should point out, thankfully). I have resisted the urge to point out that that's what you get if you take 2 days unpaid to go to an event, but a new car and a new bike in the same month. He's moaning about the childcare cost too. Maybe this is why I was happy to drive a 20 year old car and not buy big expensive things?!
So, looks like I'll be paying for his Xmas presents and subsidising him this month. Though I am about to deliver him his ceramic travel mug to remind him he can't be buying a costa every day after work. Muppet.
Also, The Wriggler is having one of those quiet days many of you have experienced. I have had little kicks throughout the day, and one just then, so I know he's still in there. But haven't had the 'normal' level today.
