Hi just got my bfp! I'm early, 3 days before AF was due so not sure if I'm the only one with an August due date?

I'm due August 3rd Smile

Christine I'm so happy you had some positive news. Hopefully you can relax a little bit now. Works Christmas party last night and one of my closest friends guessed but will keep quiet. God a bit of food poisoning from the meal so had a bit of a rough day. My boobs are now hurting when I walk, which is far from pleasant.

Have my first appt with the midwife on Christmas Eve so will get my date for 12 week scan. Fingers crossed my nerves hold out till then. Still no spotting / blood so slowly my anxiety levels are going down and the excitement is creeping in (tentatively)!

Hope you all have lovely rest of weekends!

Waking up with lower backache, is this normal?

OP posts:
Biscuitswithtea · 13/12/2015 09:15

JW probably...are you hydrated enough? I'd see how things are once you've got moving and have had some water/tea whatever. Problem with early pregnancy is that every ache gets us jittery. But actually aches are normal from time to time anyway!

I think the nausea has hit. Which is reassuring. But hard work with a toddler. DH is poorly too so we keep tag teaming based on who can be more vertical. DS is watching far more tv than usual but frankly I don't care right now!

Christinedonna · 13/12/2015 09:32

I've had backache for weeks so I wouldn't worry!

FourForYouGlenCoco · 13/12/2015 09:38

Jw I would expect so, if it carries on or gets worse maybe mention to someone but otherwise you probably just slept on it funny!
Salene that chart is surprisingly reassuring, although I have been in the 1.5% after a healthy heartbeat at 8 weeks Confused
Bleeding seems to have tailed off a bit, is just spotting now and so light I'm not sure if it's actually there or if I'm seeing things. Scan at 2.45 tomorrow. Dreading it a bit but really just want to know now so I can pick myself up and try again. This will be MC#3 in a row too if it is one (#4 total) so I can get some testing and stuff done. However I'm also noticing a correlation between how much I'm spotting and how much I'm doing so maybe it's just a sign to take it easy?! Which I was doing today anyway. Putting the tree up with DD and DH so will be a nice day Smile

SimileMilly · 13/12/2015 10:49

Great news christine and fingers crossed for you glencoco. Hi to all the new joiners!

I overdid things yesterday and ended up with bad cramps. I'm amazed how quickly I exhausted myself just doing housework. We have a night away booked tonight to go and see our favourite band then a day off tomorrow to finish Christmas shopping - can't wait!

Flybynight1 · 13/12/2015 11:15

Ok so I'm freaking out a bit... Yesterday I felt quite twingey, just like AF pains. They came and went through the day, probably only lasting a few seconds each time. No blood or anything but I was surprised at how strong they felt (I don't get strong AF cramping but this was the equivalent). This morning I did a FRER test and the 'pregnant' line is less strong that the last one I did about a week ago... What should I be doing/thinking? Should I be worrying/freaking out/calling the Dr? Should be 6 weeks tomorrow.

ForTheLoveOfSocks · 13/12/2015 11:15

Can I join you lovely ladies? I pg with #3, but this is #1 with my DP so it's kind of feeling like the first time all over again Xmas Grin

So far I'm crying my eyes at everything and I feel a bit sick. Oh and I'm exhausted and my spd is back already Xmas Sad

I've been having some period type pains too. I had them with both DD1&2. It's usually your uterus starting to grow. Although I was convinced with DD1 I was having an ectopic pg I must have seen three different docs before I would calm down Xmas Blush.

Anyway, I'm due 24th August, which is four days before DD1's birthday and there will be the same age gap between DD2 & DC3 as there is between DD1&2.

ForTheLoveOfSocks · 13/12/2015 11:17

Fly maybe ring your GP for reassurance?

Jw35 · 13/12/2015 11:33

Fly try not to worry, I think cramping is normal in the first trimester. If you have any bleeding call the doc but hopefully you won't! GlenCo I've got everything crossed for you tomorrow. I really hope the bleeding doesn't mean anything

My backache is gone now. I'm hoping it was just because I had a restless sleep last night! I'm 6 weeks 4 days today and feeling more confident each day! Nausea is very mild and mostly not there but fatigue is terrible, can barely function..not so easy with an 11 month old Sad

BergamotMouse · 13/12/2015 12:31

Fly - cramping is normal so try not to panic. You could always call the GP/EPU tomorrow to see what they say.

I was just sick which made hungover DH run upstairs to be sick. Bit annoyed at him as he's supposed to be looking after me!!

OwlinaTree · 13/12/2015 13:05

Hi guys, I've read the first few pages and would like to join in.

Just found out this weekend I'm pg, due 17th Aug. Me and dh somewhat in shock as previous pg have taken 19 then 9 months, and we've only been trying 2 months this time!

Congratulations to everybody on here, going to go back and read the rest of the thread now.

Flybynight1 · 13/12/2015 14:00

Thanks ladies, it's the lighter pg test that I don't like :-(

Haha bergamot that'll teach him for being hungover!!

Congrats Owlina and welcome Smile

Morwenna1 · 13/12/2015 15:39

Fly - I've read somewhere that a lighter line doesn't necessarily mean something negative is happening - a line is a line. Apparently the hormone levels will fluctuate, causing it to appear darker or lighter. Also the amount of dye in a particular test will vary as well. If you're concerned, call the GP for reassurance. Hopefully everything will be fine Smile

Jw I've had a few occasional back aches/pains...hopefully just 'growing pains'!

Aw, sorry to hear the nausea has hit Bergamot! Not looking forward to that. It'll be right on Christmas, all being well! Xmas Envy (that green face is meant to be 'ill', most definitely not envious!)

Anyone else finding it extremely difficult to focus on everyday life, i.e. getting the last min presents sorted, christmas cards, general getting shit done?!! My brain is completely occupied elsewhere, haven't thought much about the holidays at all!

TattieHowkerz · 13/12/2015 17:08

Hi

Got my a BFP on Thursday, with a due date of 25th August. I'll be induced a couple of weeks early for health reasons, as I was with DD, who is now 4.

AlfieTheRailwayCat · 13/12/2015 17:09

Fly I wouldn't really worry too much about the tests and lines, the dye can vary from test to test and brand to brand. I have had terrible cramps over the weekend too, also 6 weeks tomorrow. I'm just taking one day at a time.

Remember today we are pregnant!

Flybynight1 · 13/12/2015 17:31

Alfie you are right!! Did you book in for an early scan in the end?

AlfieTheRailwayCat · 13/12/2015 17:49

fly yes I have one on the 22nd, I'll only be 7 + 1 though so not sure what they will be able to see. What about you?

OstentatiousBreastfeeder · 13/12/2015 18:17

I haven't even missed a period yet (AF was due on Tuesday, got BFP at 8dpo!) and I'm getting really achey cramps.

Its probably nothing but its starting to make me think I've jumped the gun in getting excited so soon Sad

Morwenna1 · 13/12/2015 18:27

Ostentatious - cramps are normal! It's your uterus muscles moving around! Congrats on the BFP Smile And ref Alfie's post above, cramping at 6 weeks!

Yes, today we are pregnant Smile

Morwenna1 · 13/12/2015 18:28

Hi Owlina and Tattie!

Flybynight1 · 13/12/2015 18:52

Alfie you are in the day before me! I'm booked for the 23rd. I think by then we should see a heartbeat?

Mrs1986 · 13/12/2015 18:58

Grace I am also booked in at Sonogray on Thursday this week. I will let you know what they're like!

I'll be 6+6

Xx
