Hi just got my bfp! I'm early, 3 days before AF was due so not sure if I'm the only one with an August due date?

I'm due August 3rd Smile

Hi all, exciting to see some more bfps and newbies joining in!

Was your appointment today berries? How did it go? Good to hear you were feeling a bit more positive yesterday.

I've got my booking in on Tuesday, which seems pretty early really, but I phoned as soon as I got the bfp, as I left it a bit later with DS2 and couldn't get an appointment until 13 weeks, which meant no scan until 15 weeks!

GirlFromMars I'd go on conception date for your estimates for now, and see what they say at the 12 week scan (unless you are due an earlier one). That will give you a more accurate idea.

Jw35 · 05/12/2015 20:25

just got a bfp with edd Aug 10th. Kind of crazy cause I have an 11 month old ds

I've got an 11 month old too! I'm due August 3rd Smile

Pinching pains today, fatigue but no nausea yet. I'm 5.3 today

Glad I'm not the only crazy one, Jw35! :) 2 under 2 will be a complete circus.

And re bloat, it's a Thing. I was very surprised by how quickly my body started changing last time. I was in maternity trousers by 11 weeks & loving them. Then again, I also gained weight in the first trimester as I ate for Britain as it was the only thing that staved my constant nausea. Hoping to avoid that particular treat this time.

septembergrrrl · 05/12/2015 22:17

Babies close together is bonkers and awesome. I'm a bit thrown at how large the gap will be for this one. I had 19mos between my first two, and 16mos between second and the twins. Had 4 under 3.
My youngest will be 8 when this one appears. Lots of help though I guess?
My booking appt is next Thursday, I'll be 7+4, seems early, but with chrimbo/new year I guess I'd get a scan around 10/11 weeks, so it works?

Having horrid wind/cramps today. Making me feel really rough and grumpy.

Salene · 06/12/2015 05:57

I will also have 2 under twos, im not sure if it's a good idea as get it out the way or if I'm totally mad 😳

MrsSantaClause · 06/12/2015 07:20

Hi All, can I join? Got my bfp Monday and told dh straight away-we've been ttc since sept, so quite a quick turnaround Smile

This will be no4 for us, youngest Ds is 3, and very helpful, I think he'll be a lovely big brother.

We've got in laws and brother in law staying with us over Xmas, so going to have to tell them. We're going to wrap a big brother tshirt up for Ds and give it to him from the gparents. There's no way I'd get away with not drinking over Xmas.

I haven't got much nausea yet, but quite crampy, breathless and really sweaty Confused

Here's my stats:
MrsSantaClause,33, Leicestershire, edd 8th August, #4
hope I didn't miss anything off?

Jw35 · 06/12/2015 07:27

Welcome MrsSanta!

Yes 19 month age gap between this one and my youngest. However I know what big age gaps re like too as my eldest is 12! There's 11 years between dd1 and dd2. This will be dc3.

Waking up in the mornings feeling absolutely hanging these days! Sore boobs, fatigue and just feeling rubbish!

Jw my older Dc are 13 and 12 Wink

Jw35 · 06/12/2015 08:14

It must be more common than it seems MrsSantaClause!

It's like starting over but I love it! Smile

The bloating is insane. My boobs haven't really grown yet but they feel so full and the strap is getting tight around my ribs. I still fit the cup though.

Just realised I haven't posted my stats

Mrs1986 · 06/12/2015 09:18

morning all,
I feel like my boobs are getting less sore. I had a couple of hours of nausea on Friday but nothing since. I am thinking of buying another clearblue test cause I want to see 3+, hopefully that'll be enough to put my mind at rest before next Thursday when I have my scan.
xx

AlfieTheRailwayCat · 06/12/2015 09:30

Welcome new bfps!
For those suffering from nausea I've just bought some of those sea bands to wear on your pressure points on your wrists. They were recommended by somebody on here elsewhere. Might be worth a try?

BergamotMouse · 06/12/2015 09:36

Morning all,

Mrs1986 - I wouldn't worry about symptoms changing. I have days when I feel better than others. I read somewhere that they don't necessarily get worse and worse and that it's normal for them to come and go.

Alfie - I just ordered some of those bands off amazon but who knows when they'll arrive. Have they made any difference? I just feel like I have a constant hangover. Might go out for a Sunday roast today to eat my way through it but I will really want to beef but probably can't as it'll be a bit pink. I can't believe I'm missing everything I can't have already.

AlfieTheRailwayCat · 06/12/2015 10:32

I got mine off amazon too and they arrived yesterday. They are smaller than they look online so will be more discreet which is good. I haven't worn them yet as I've only felt rough in the evenings so far so I'll put them on tonight.

lilygirl81 · 06/12/2015 11:55

Morning all

Sorry I've not updated the stats, I'll try to get them done today.

I feel awful today, I've just called NHS 24 as I can't bring myself to eat, even though my tummy is rumbling, and I have no energy. Still no bowl movements though plenty of wind (I blame the prune juice). I'll let you know how I get on, they are calling back as so busy, could be up to 3 hours.

Christinedonna · 06/12/2015 12:31

I just popped into the pharmacy and asked about painkillers and what I can take (because of the cramps at night) and the pharmasist said I should ring my doctor tomorrow and they'll book me in for an early scan as although some cramps are normal something may be wrong? Please everyone tell me they're normal and she was over reacting?!

lilygirl81 · 06/12/2015 12:51

christine what a insensitive comment to make. Cramps are completely normal, only time that they are really any cause for concern is if they are sharp and one sided or accompanied by bleeding.

Christinedonna · 06/12/2015 13:38

She actually didn't even say they're normal. She said it could be ectopic and I said "I heard cramps are normal?" She said "they can be, but it may mean something else"

lilygirl81 · 06/12/2015 14:02

That's ridiculous, don't they realise how terrifying these weeks are for us!

I'd mention them to your midwife when you have your appointment, and if they get worse or you do feel they are to one side then call your EPU. My one sided pain was due to a small cyst where the egg came from so still nothing to worry about.

Christinedonna · 06/12/2015 14:16

Should I ring my doctor anyway?

AlfieTheRailwayCat · 06/12/2015 14:28

christine I've had lots of cramps too. Everything I've read says it is to be expected. Last night I had a warm shower and then a hot water bottle in bed and it helped. I'm sure that the doctor would put your mind at rest if you wanted to call. But realistically they can't do anything. I would put your feet up and get some rest.

CurlyChick1 · 06/12/2015 14:48

Christine sounds like what you are experiencing is normal. I was worried by it during my first pregnancy and ended up at emergency doctor one day after 111 call as they were concerned about ectopic. Was assured cramps are completely normal and as long as no bleeding or pain so sharp you can't stand it's just your body adjusting . Hope you can relax a little more. Heat pads work wonders.

lilygirl81 · 06/12/2015 14:54

Definitely agree with the hot water bottles or heat pads, I've had one almost every day.

DH has just gone and got me lactulose which should hopefully help. Also read that pomegranates are helpful, we happened to have one which DH bought to paint, so just had some mixed with ice cream, fingers crossed it all kicks in soon, though I feel more normal now

Christinedonna · 06/12/2015 15:16

Thank you ladies, made me feel ally better! It's just how in my head I knew it was normal and she made me feel like I was completely wrong. This is such a scary time and I've got a few really hurtful, insensitive comments from people now that really just make me feel like hiding away and crying

MrsSantaClause · 06/12/2015 15:38

I think they always have to err on the side of caution, as if they said it was normal and it turned out something was wrong they could be at fault. Might be worth speaking to your gp, especially if you get an early scan out of it?? Im sure it will be fine though. X
