Feb 2016 babies: Welcome to the 3rd trimester - the final stretch! (in more ways than one)
MaisieDotes · 17/12/2015 10:58

Just realised from seeing that photo that my fingers are really swollen too Grin

MaisieDotes · 17/12/2015 11:02

Sorry for multiple posts but clara I drive a Golf which is pretty modest size-wise and I have DS in a maxi-cosi 2-way pearl and the relevant base and it's absolutely fine.

He's 16 months now but he's a big child, about 13kg (wears age 2 clothes) and he's still rear facing and I've no plans to change him anytime soon. He's happy as larry in the car.

Whoknewitcouldbeso · 17/12/2015 12:55

Ooooh Maisie that's a gorgeous bump!! 😍😍😍😍😍. There is nothing of you so no wonder your bump looks prominent 🙊

I'm pretty tall and have a long torso and monkey arms. I've also decided I must have very small organs so there is plenty of room in there.

I just picked DS up from preschool and another Mum said I looked neat lol. It must be the word of the moment. I think people feel compelled to say something so they either say you look MASSIVE or neat. Those are the only options Grin

Whoknewitcouldbeso · 17/12/2015 12:57

My son is in the Pearl as well. We've only used it as a front facing seat so far and he still fits it fine at 36 months. He is also pretty tall.

We think we'll be getting him the Advansafix next as I want him to be able to use a harness for as long as possible.

Mawsymoo · 17/12/2015 13:26

Lovely bumps! My bump looks a similar size to maisie's at 34+3 - maybe it's having the babies close together? I'll try to take a picture later. I was definitely much smaller on my pregnancy with DS at this stage - yet so far I've gained less weight this time around Confused. I think that's all going to change over the next few weeks as I have suddenly gone chocolate-mad!

I'm finishing work for Christmas tomorrow but am back in January for a short while (boo). I've been finding life very tiring the past few weeks - work, DS, house and Christmas are all getting on top of me. I'm not getting into bed before 11.30pm any night and then DS is usually up around 1am to hop in with me and then I get up at 5.45am for work! At the moment I'm trying to prepare some of the Christmas food in advance as we're having it in our house this year and will have the in-laws staying for a few days so that's taking up my evenings once DS is gone to bed.

I'm looking forward to the week off after Christmas - I'm going to start getting things ready for the baby and hopefully order a cot or whatever we decide the baby should sleep in. And otherwise just chill out as much as possible!

clarabellski · 17/12/2015 13:27

Maisie you proved my point! Golf = volkswagen = fancy european car

I have a vauxhall...Blush

And FWIW your bump looks smaller than my aforementioned friend's did at 28 weeks!! And you're all bump its not like the rest of you is big!

haquoi123 · 17/12/2015 13:50

Beautiful bumps you guys! My bump at 32+5 (ignore the terrible posture and flattened boobs, this isn't a maternity dress) - I'm measuring about 2cm above the 90th percentile line so am totally a hippo! Got no hips though so there's nowhere for bubs to hide! Loads of people are stopping me on the street now and in shops, it's really annoying. Although today I was searching for Xmas card packs in sainsburys and couldn't find them. I finally asked someone and when she pointed at the other end of the store I must have visibly wilted as she offered to go and get me a whole selection of packs so I wouldn't have to traipse there. Lovely woman!

mawsy you sound like super woman. I'm positively lazy compared to you

Your bumps are all fab. Mine is still at 29+6 ... and only just looking bumpesque!
I have some envy now Envy

Rufus200 · 17/12/2015 15:39

I'm 5'9 so baby has quite a lot of room to hide in. I think also 2-4 weeks further along makes a huge difference to bump size. My bump was much smaller only a week ago and I'm expecting it to super ballon. It was only 7 weeks left on Tuesday max till I meet him!!!

Today DH and I were supposed to be sorting the mess in the house out as he has taken the whole week off work. Instead I'm lying on the sofa despairing as I've just realised the shutter company has put 6 wrong shutters in and they were hoping I wouldn't notice. DH has had to go to work to deal with a crisis, which now means he will have been into work every day of his holiday time and we have literally achieved nothing all week. The nursery looks like a tornado blew threw it, everything is just dumped on the floor. Can't wash anything as I can't trust the washing machine until it is fixed. We are taking tomorrow off as our day, we have both had enough. I have banned all workmen from the house, we are walking away from the mess, having a lie in and then going to do all our favourite things together. We just need a little bit of happiness and us time after the last few crappy weeks.

IslaMann · 17/12/2015 16:07

This is my massive bump at 32+2, last weekend. Am 33 wks today. I am a chubster before pg tho so didn't expect to have a neat bump!

What lovely bump pics everyone! Sorry not been around very much, finding everything all rather stressful at the moment. I have a quick question for those of you with pelvic/back pain, when you go into spasm do you find you can go to the toilet normally? I am finding I can be desperate to go but my body just won't let me and I don't know if it something to be overly concerned about or if it's normal.

MaisieDotes · 17/12/2015 16:56

Thanks guys Blush

mawsy I can't believe you're doing Christmas and having people to stay! I'm off the hook this year as I had my BIL and his GF last year for 10 days. It was a long 10 days. Did I mention they were here for 10 days? Grin

isla your dress is so glamorous! I'm living in Lycra atm. I can't wait to never wear Lycra again after this baby is born!

Troika · 17/12/2015 17:36

Tried to upload photo but it wont let me, will try again later.
Everyone keeps telling me my bump is tiny but I don't think it is?
It was measuring right when I saw the midwife and my growth scan was fine so two fingers to them Wink

jellypi3 · 17/12/2015 17:48

Lovely bumpies everyone! I'm 34 weeks today and have attached my sideways bumpie!

Had a scan today and baby is currently 5ib :) can't believe I could be meeting her in 6 weeks

RattyCatty · 17/12/2015 17:54

Lovely bump pics! I have a big bump and big baby I think Shock

RattyCatty · 17/12/2015 17:55

Oops I'm 33+4

madsaz76 · 17/12/2015 22:22

my bump measures >95% centile right now. But thats because baby appears to be exclusively occupying my upper abdo, with just a trailing foot in my pelvis - even the midwife laughed that there isn't any baby in pelvis at the moment.

AS a result bump extremely high and odd looking - odd enough that a colleagues at work noticed it! Will try and do a selfie but have no mirrors at the mo so saturday at the earliest! Just picture a kid shoving a beachball up their top.....

Rufus200 · 17/12/2015 22:24

My feet have officially quit on me! My last pair of wearable shoes no longer fit, my feet soufflé out the top of them. I shall be spending the next 7+ weeks in UGG boots. Please don't get too big for them feet, I refuse to waste money on new shoes, only option then will be flip flops in the snow!

Mawsymoo · 18/12/2015 06:48

maisie 10 days is a long time for any visitor! We were due to go to their house this year but I refused as I'll be nearly 36 weeks and I don't want to go into labour and end up at the local hospital. Too many scary stories. It'll be grand, they're heading home on 26th after dinner and from then on I'm going to be very lazy!

So tired this morning - has anyone else got a child who's a bad sleeper? I'm terrified about managing 2 of them!

MaisieDotes · 18/12/2015 07:43

mawsy oh yes absolutely. I know what you mean Sad

DS is a good sleeper in general, he sleeps 7-7 as a rule, although within that time we could be in to him several times to give back his soother or blankie thing. Some nights it's only once or twice but other nights (like last night!) it's more like 5 times. He doesn't get up though, so it's fine really. Just stagger in, insert soother, stagger out again Grin

rufus I bought a pair of boots in a bigger size about six weeks ago and they're all I wear outside now! Inside I just wear my sheepskin slipper boots. I was a size 4 always before I had DD and went up to a 5 while pregnant with her. Then with DS I was more like a 5 and a half, and now the new boots I've bought are a 6.

Hopefully I can still wear all my existing shoes after this pregnancy otherwise I'm in for a lot of expense!

clarabellski · 18/12/2015 09:11

madsaz I'm exactly the same! 90th percenntile and my DH says it looks and feels like a bowling ball. Rock solid and round! So funny!

ratty is that an outie I can spy!?!?!? Mine is half in half out now. Wondering when it will finally 'pop'! Need to figure out how to get bump photo on here as I use work computer Blush

MaryEllen1 · 18/12/2015 11:18

Thought I'd add to the bump pics, am 30
weeks.

Haven't been on for a couple of days so will try and go back through the thread, hope everyone is well :)

Sighing · 18/12/2015 14:03

Rufus: your day of walking away from it sounds great.
More bump envy from me Envy
Christmas shopping has been replaced by baby stuff purchases (get me being all confident). I'm loving the shoes(slippers) of serious cute and the socks most of all.
Knitting is progressing well. I just want to make a couple of cardigans for keeping him all snuggly in Feb-April!

Posey01 · 18/12/2015 14:30

Happy friday all! Not been on for a bit as had a sickness bug - not fun when you can't curl up as there's a big bump in the way. Think i've attached a pic of bump at 29 weeks...Growing loads now though.

Stepawayfromthezebras I had a low lying placenta at 20 weeks...got my scan on 29th December to see what's what. I haven't had any bleeding though...it's all so worrying isn't it, but good they're keeping an eye on things.
