Great news Amy, thats another load off your mind.

I'm another one who has been feeling awful today! saw my consultant this morning, and haven't stopped being sick since, drove to work (vomiting twice on the way there into a plastic bag!- classy) and then told them I really wasn't up for being there and drove home, where I've slept since. I'm hungry but worry I'll vom if I eat anything, just tried an ice lolly which went down well, any other suggestions?

Mrspopper · 09/12/2015 16:18

amysmummy12345 · 09/12/2015 17:25

Thanks all 😀 lovely scan pic Emma! kezod dry blAnd things work well for me, especially salty things... I'm enjoying salted popcorn at the minute... Drinks wise it's hit and miss... Lots of the women on the HG forum swear by the juice from tinned fruit, I couldn't stomach it, prefer ice cold water.... If it gets bad see go for meds! Xxx

Quick question... I have concerns over the flu jab. Are you going to have the jab? Have you already had the jab? I'm just not sure what to do.

jbiscuits · 09/12/2015 18:31

Just caught up from the last few days.

So sorry to hear jo's sad news, but glad other people have had more positive news.

I've been getting paranoid this last week as all my nausea has disappeared, and I'm convinced my 'bump' has shrunk since last week probably more that my maternity jeans have stretched slightly I have my 16w midwife appointment next week and am counting down the days to be able to listen to the heartbeat!

jbiscuits · 09/12/2015 18:56

emma I had the flu jab both this time and last time I was pregnant, with no side effects other than a sore arm. I figure that I feel rotten enough already, let alone if I were to actually get the flu!

TomboyGirl · 09/12/2015 18:58

Hi jbiscuits ! What's your EDD?

laughingGnomette · 09/12/2015 18:59

emma - great news about the scan! Its so nice being able to tell everyone :)
I had the flu jab aaagges ago - at about 5/6 weeks. They really recommend you get it because flu can cause complications in pregnancy. The jab also provides some protection to the baby when it is first born. I had a slight sore arm after mine but no other complications. It doesn't contain a live virus so you wont get a mild flu after having it either.

What were your concerns emma?

MollieRos · 09/12/2015 19:23

Lovely scan emma and really glad to hear your news amy

I had my flu jab at about 9 or 10 weeks, there didn't seem like a reason not to have it as laughing said, flu can cause complications in pregnancy.

kezod salty or sharp things work for me, so nibbling on plain crisps, salted nuts, and lots of satsumas and oranges for me.

I ended up going to the gp this morning- work are getting stroppy with me about having odd days off, so I wanted to show them I'm being proactive. I felt a bit of a time-waster really as I was feeling a bit better today (I even kept my breakfast down... that's very unusual these days!). The gp wanted to sign me off for a week to rest but I was feeling ok today so I decided to stay at work for now. She's given me some cyclidine for when I'm bad. She also said when I have a bad day I should stay off work for a few days at least so I can properly rest and recover (I've been just staying off for a day if possible), though not sure what my work will say about that! Interestingly she also suggested chewing cardamom as a natural remedy, which I hadn't heard of before!

MiraclesDoHappen82 · 09/12/2015 19:34
