I ordered some maternity clothes the other day and I think they will be delivered later on today. I am very excited, although I know I'll be sick of the sight of them by the time the baby actually arrives! Ordered myself a nice dress for Christmas day as well, which I hope will be flattering on the paunch bump. Grin

nehagarg · 03/12/2015 10:08

Phew! I hope the rate slows down, now that I have super massive boobs.

laughing .. I bought mine a couple of weeks ago and havent taken them off since ... Soooo comfy!

GrubbyWindows · 03/12/2015 10:21

Ha ha, nehag I put on 10 kg in the first trimester last time!, and another 12kg by the end. DS was 4.5kg though, with a placenta to match, so I lost 10kg giving birth, and the rest came off by itself breastfeeding over about 9 months.
I'm borderline underweight naturally, I didn't know what had hit me!

laughingGnomette · 03/12/2015 10:44

nehagarg - oooh! I can't wait! Superstition has made me hold back from getting anything until after my scan and I have only one pair of jeans left that fit comfortably around my waist but they are way too big everywhere else and just look awful.

I think I might have to head to Bravissimo too as my boobs are quite frankly out of control!!

Tell me about it .. My boobs have already gone up one cup size and now they seem to be jail breaking the new bras too Blush ... Much to DH's amusement, of course!

nehagarg · 03/12/2015 10:55

Grubby ... I was a few kg over my ideal weight to begin with so I'd like to keep an eye on the gain, as much as possible ... The cravings for chocolate are NOT helping! Good to know that it comes off while breastfeeding though Smile

TattedPixie · 03/12/2015 10:58

I don't dare weigh myself because of the amount of carbs I've been scoffing. I've gone up a cup size and the band is starting to feel snug so gonna have to go bra shopping soon, same with some maternity trousers

cheshirem2b · 03/12/2015 11:27

All my maternity clothes are stored at my parents so they are bringing them to mine at the weekend for me! Desperately want my maternity jeans as my normal ones are so uncomfortable!

mrsmugoo · 03/12/2015 11:49

Nehagarg lolz I stacked on the weight while breastfeeding! I ended up almost the same weight at the end of my maternity leave as I was full term pregnant!!

mrsmugoo · 03/12/2015 11:52

My maternity jeans from last time don't fit - they're pretty stretched and baggy and I'm a smaller starting size this time so I'm going to have to buy some more eventually. I'm surviving on high waisted jeans with a hair bobble through the button at the moment.

Belvedere · 03/12/2015 12:34

I found it really hard to lose weight when breastfeeding last time, it came off much easier when I stopped. Very annoying.

Anyone found he perfect maternity jeans? I'm wearing topshop Leigh ones which are nice but keep falling down. I have some over the bump ones from last time from asos but they are quite faded now.

MrsSparkles · 03/12/2015 12:49

Haven't been around for ages - Inlaws arrived last week for 6 weeks so that's keeping me out of trouble. Most of my symptoms seem to have gone now - still get the odd day of sickness (so over having to stop at the side of the motorway to be sick!).

Had our first scan on Tuesday - all looks good but no date as stubborn baby was the wrong way up and refused to move, so back again on Monday for another try! I am convinced it's a boy now and have bet DH £50 (so very much hoping I'm right!)

bikingintherain · 03/12/2015 13:01

Biscuits we have a beloved rabbit called 'bunny wunny' and a cat called 'cat' Both favourites and both jellycat I think. So don't worry about original names! Although I'm hoping we can come upp with something more original for the baby!

mrsmugoo · 03/12/2015 13:05

We've named all the soft toys after who gifted them.

bikingintherain · 03/12/2015 13:10

That's what happens when you don't press refresh before posting. A page or two behind!

I was thinking yesterday how I'm keen to get into maternity cloths, but at the other end your desperate to get out of them!

I actually gained weight feeding DD, and maintained with DS. It didn't help that they were both slow feeders, so each feed would take an hour. So that basically turned into me sitting down every three hours for an hour and eating chocolate. I'm sure if you have some semblance of self control it doesn't happen. But I don't. And I found I was much more hungry bf than I was during pregnancy.

jbiscuits · 03/12/2015 13:16

mrsmugoo not sure that would work here, we'd have a lot of toys named Nana Grin DS's monkey is just called Monkey biking

Also loving my maternity jeans here!

nehagarg · 03/12/2015 13:21

Self control? Whatever is that? Shock

jbiscuits · 03/12/2015 13:22

Cross posts biking. Bf also made me really hungry too. I used to have stashes of snacks all over the place, including by the bed for the middle of the night feeds. Might need to find a way to keep DS away from them this time though. He seems able to search out and eat hidden food before I even realise what he's up to!

bikingintherain · 03/12/2015 13:32

See just to prove I have no self control. I haven't felt sick much today, but just saw some salted caramel chocolate in the cupboard. I KNEW it would make me ill, but justified it because it had salt in it ?!?! and now am as sick as a parrot. Urrgghhh.

iamdivergent · 03/12/2015 13:53

Work colleague who knows said to me today - are you sure there is just one in there?! Tbf I look huge today and I'm only 11+1 Confused I have a proper little bump but I assume it's because I had a big breakfast! New meds seem to be working well, they're mainly for motion sickness and inner ear imbalances so I was convinced we'd go the other way but have been pleasantly surprised. Will try to wean myself down to 2 a day starting the end of next week I think, and leave it at that for a few weeks if I manage.

Hope everyone is well. I'm just sat slurping a slushy!

bikingintherain · 03/12/2015 14:06

What are you on divergent?

I'm on Emesafene (combination of meclizine and pyridoxine) 2 a day. But I'd like to start cutting down a bit. I think I'm doing better than before, but do you have any experience in doing so? I find at the moment if I only take one I'm ok for a couple of days but then get terrible again. And need to go back up to two. So am wondering of they stay in my system for the extra day or two which is why I don't feel so rough immediately after.

TattedPixie · 03/12/2015 14:19

Is anyone else really gassy? I can't stop burping and it's starting to annoy me now

Lovelybeano · 03/12/2015 14:41

So tired today 11 + 4 hoping the 2nd trimester energy boost comes soon, especially before the Christmas work rush.
I haven't bought any maternity jeans yet but I really do need some, I have a few tops from the new look sale, I daren't buy much more until the scan next week Confused

nehagarg · 03/12/2015 14:51

I am 14+3 and literally asleep at my desk .. Where is that 2nd trimester energy boost????

Betty79 · 03/12/2015 14:57

Pixie I've been very windy since I found out, always burping, it's a bit embarrassing!

I've just taken delivery of some super skinny jeans from h&m and they are lovely, more like jeggings and quite soft. Can see myself wearing them a lot. Ordered a size bigger than normal size tho as they are skinny jeans and don't like the legs too tight.

I'm 12 weeks today going by my dates or 12 weeks tomorrow by lmp! Not feeling great still tho, sickness still coming and going and today I have a headache from hell! Can't wait for the weekend then it's almost scan time Smile

Damn u whoever posted about the jellycat teddies, I'd never heard of them but so tempted to order one now, they are so cute especially the bashful bunny!
