We didn't find out last time, but I think this time I would like to know!

Just spent over an hour catching up on this thread and the last one! Been to visit the in-laws (5hr drive away) so we told them as we wont be seeing them for a while. They had planned a boozy filled weekend, so I spent the whole time being designated driver and being the impartial judge in heated debates! Both fun and frustrating!

Booked my flu jab for next week too!

Potkettleblack2 · 24/11/2015 16:19

I've just had to unbutton my trousers-I'm definitely getting a little bump. I'm excited about having a bump-even though it'll make things like sleeping more uncomfortable!

We won't find out the sex. Last time I wanted to but DH didn't, so we didn't, and now I'm a convert! But it's a lovely surprise whenever you find out!

Rose2806 · 24/11/2015 16:23

Thanks guys, I thought I was starting to calm down and worry less but I guess by deciding to have children I have committed myself to a lifetime of worrying about something! Will all be worth it though :-)

Louise I was given a list of contact details on the front of my maternity book that I have to take to appointments, both emergency and non emergency ones for the practice/hospital I am registered with. Perhaps yours has something on there they didn't point out to you?

We are going to find out whether it's a girl or boy just because we are too excited/impatient not to! I think we will be keeping it to ourselves though as quite a few people have ended up finding out I'm pregnant early so it would be nice to have something just between us for a while :-)

17 and everyone else with positive scans congrats!

Louise34567 · 24/11/2015 16:56

Thanks rose I'll have a look.

Hi to everyone new!

Lovelybeano · 24/11/2015 19:44

My pointy bloaty bump - not sure whether I'll be able to hide this for another 4 weeks lol

MollieRos · 24/11/2015 20:01

Great news on all the positive scans!

I think we're going to find out the sex at the 20wk scan if we can too- we'd originally thought we wouldn't, but both of us have found it so difficult getting our heads round the fact we're having a baby that we've decided it will help us to visualise things and make it seem more real.

I've been really struggling to sleep at the moment. I've had the 4am wake ups since about 5weeks, and have to get up twice for the toilet most nights, but recently I seem to just lie awake half the night. So frustrating when I'm also so tired- why can't I sleep?!

Rose2806 · 24/11/2015 21:06

Nice bump beano! I'm having to keep wearing the same outfits at the mo as don't really have many loose fitting clothes, can't wait till I can show it off instead!

Mollie I've had the same since 4-5 weeks, it's really hard. The last couple of nights I have tried reading for a bit which seems to help me get back to sleep, have you tried that?

Has anyone else found that by about 9-10 weeks they stopped feeling the stretching feelings/ odd aches when turning over in bed etc? Apart from bloating my tummy feels quite "normal" at the moment and not like there's a baby in there! Nausea still reminding me there's something going on though. Sorted my pizza craving out tonight which was much better than my horrible curry yesterday!

iamdivergent · 24/11/2015 21:16

My "bump" looks massive tonight but I had pasta with dinner so I think it's actually that! I'm sure I remember popping from really low down previously but now it's definately just below my belly button that's popped out! It's a little bit hard but I had a bit of weight to lose anyway so I think I have a bit before I'm properly showing.

Bought some maternity jeans today, they are so comfy I just want to wear them all the time!

mrsmugoo · 24/11/2015 21:19

I'm the same divergent, bump seems to start from the belly button when I remember it just super low last time.

17caterpillars1mouse · 25/11/2015 03:52

We're team yellow here :)

I have my flu jab today, does anybody know if I need to take my maternity notes with me?

earlgreydrinker · 25/11/2015 06:22

Yes caterpillars take your book - they write that you have had it and stick the batch sticker in I think

Lovelybeano · 25/11/2015 06:43

I keep wearing loose tops but those in the pic are maternity so I don't know whether that makes pointy look bigger or whether I've worn baggy clothes for that long I didn't realise how big I actually looked in fitted clothes lol I haven't gained any weight, just starting to look chunky, I usually have a pretty flat tum apart from a baby pouch which never really went after ds. I don't know whether I show early because my body is short so it has nowhere to hide, I always have to buy plunge bras because the cups come down lower, the normal bras rub my underarms! Or my tummy muscles are just no good and can't hold it in.
Symptoms have just about disappeared, just dizziness when I stand up too quick, I sent oh shopping last night for lots of fruit & veg so I can start getting rid of the carb feast :) hope everyone else is doing ok and the grotty feeling is starting to ease ?

mrsmugoo · 25/11/2015 07:24

Been awake since 4am yay.

But had a rummage in my clothes drawer and as I lost 2 stone in weight this year between about May & September I've got plenty of bigger size jeans to choose from! So bye bye to my size 8s for a while! Found a nice stretchy pair of high waisted jeans that do up around the smallest part of my waist and stretch over the bump. Should keep me going for a couple of weeks!

BiffleRoo · 25/11/2015 07:26

beano
I'm having the same problem. I'm 11+3

Lovelybeano · 25/11/2015 07:42

Lovely bump biffle, I'd love to be one of the ladies that don't show until 6 months but it's never going to happen lol I don't think our baggy tops will stay baggy for long !! I'm 10+3 so a week behind you :) times starting to move for us all now, getting closer to the magic 12 week mark!! Finally getting excited now I don't feel as rotten :)

Belvedere · 25/11/2015 07:59

I find the hardest bit being at work at the moment, I feel so tired and sick feel and look so fat it's horrible that they don't know! Well my boss knows but waiting till my scan on Friday for everyone else. They must think I'm a right fatty!
I also hate this stage where I'm fat and have a bit of fatty bump but to a stranger I'm sure I'm just fat! Plus most of my old maternity stuff is still too big but my normal clothes too small. Whaaaa

MiraclesDoHappen82 · 25/11/2015 08:35

Got my booking in appointment today. Then the wait for my 12 week scan. I'm sure I'm going to be last in here Sad

mrsmugoo · 25/11/2015 08:44

Still not heard from southmead belvedere, did st mikes phone or write your appointment?

TattedPixie · 25/11/2015 09:00

Louise we are scan twins! I've got mine on the 21st so perfect Christmas present for myself and the boyfriend.
Just playing the waiting game now

bikingintherain · 25/11/2015 09:19

I can't remember who was talking about it but somewhere the was a conversation about glucose tests.

I've had them with my two previous pregnancies but much later on with the whole syrup stuff. Today I had one but it was only fasting for 12 hours overnight and then them taking blood. No syrup, i wonder if this is the case hit when they test sugars early?

Anyway, thought it might be useful info for someone.

nehagarg · 25/11/2015 09:26

Mine is the same biking - 12 hours fasting, no syrup (in a couple of weeks) ... Maybe there will be two tests then?

PrincessPunzie · 25/11/2015 09:36

Just had my scan! There's a baby in there! And it moves and kicks, and sleeps with its hands over its face like its mum! Oh my God the relief!!! Smile

PrincessPunzie · 25/11/2015 09:37

Also got dated forward, which was a surprise. Now due 5th June.

Louise34567 · 25/11/2015 09:44

Oh wow Pixie that's so cool! And there are still a few days before Christmas, that way, for our family/friends to get some baby presents ... right?! Ha.

Congratulations Princess that's great news!

obsessedlex · 25/11/2015 09:52

Lovely to hear about the happy scans!
Finally got my scan date - 7th December which makes me 12+4 I think.
