Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 41st grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 40th grads thread is HERE

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 55th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE
for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

Feathered I hope you're ok this morning and get some answers.

Molly just be yourself and be strong for ds. It sounds like you're doing really well.

Peenut · 28/11/2015 10:02

Hope all is ok this morning feathered. Sounds like the hospital are being cautious and checking everything out before you go home. Must be such a relief to hear baby's heartbeat. Hope you get some answers and all is ok.

Good luck today molly. Good advice there from everyone, you must be all over the place

Discofairypants · 28/11/2015 10:07

Hope you are feeling ok this morning feathered and managed to get some sleep. Hopefully they'll have some reassuring answers for you this morning.

Hope today goes ok molly, I second what others have said ... Don't worry about how you should act, just be yourself and go with how you are feeling.

Good luck Christmas shopping 5hell! I've done most of mine online, just DH and parents to sort now ... Which considering I started last night (and we have 19 children to buy for) is not too bad hehe!

A sorting out type of weekend here but struggling with my back so not sure how productive I'm going to be. Think I remember this from last time but has anyone else suffered with back pain early on? I'm 16+1 now (officially a maternity 'issue' now instead of a gynae one, in this area, according to my midwife ... Weird!)

FeatheredTail · 28/11/2015 10:27

Thanks so much for the support viroids. I'm being released and DH is coming to get me! Doctor is happy that everything as it should be and just have to take it easy and go back if there's any more bleeding or pain. Phew. Now to try and enjoy the weekend!

Good luck at the shops 5hell (you mentalist)

((Hugs)) Molly

FeatheredTail · 28/11/2015 10:29

I have to say AIBU and the baby names board kept me going yesterday and this morning.

Roy for a girl anyone? ....no...?

Peenut · 28/11/2015 10:52

Hope you are feeling ok this morning Feathered. What a scare - fingers crossed for you all is OK. Sounds like the docs are being extra careful and hopefully it is a pesky polyp. I think they must be common as they looked for one to explain the bleeding I had at the scan last week.

Sending you happy vibes to help deal with today molly. Just go with the flow, you can't do much more. Good advice here from everyone . Hope DS has a nice time despite the utterly pants time you are having, really feel for you Chocolate

So ... I just puked for the first time and now can't get out if bed. My tummy feels like a washing machine. A new symptom for 8 weeks. Confused Hope this isn't here to stay, may I just offer Flowers to all other pukey ladies. How are you meant to go about your business feeling like this?

pretzelpieces · 28/11/2015 11:52

molly I hope today goes well. As others have said just try to be true to your feelings.

feathered glad you were in nice facilities, but great news that you are now home with the all clear.

pee sympathy, it's awful but it will pass. I don't know how people cope to be honest! I cancelled lots of things and was very grateful not to have a full time job or any other kids!

We found out this morning that DP's grandad passed away yesterday. Very sad, I have no GPs left and he's got just one now. Glad we went to visit him so he got to find out about his first great grandchild being imminent, but he seemed so excited to meet her and now he won't. Sad

pretzelpieces · 28/11/2015 11:56

Forgot to add I bought a second hand epi no off ebay for half price. I know you're not supposed to get them second hand but beggars can't be choosers and she's sterilised it and I'll sterilise it too when it arrives (how do you sterilise things?!).

ThursdayLastWeek · 28/11/2015 13:42

Dishwasher or a tub of Milton pretz. I think it's a sensible second hand purchase TBH, it's not like it's got longevity has it?

molly I hope you're ok. In your shoes I would have let DS Dad take DS for the day and get yourself some alone time. You don't owe him anything. But whatever, I just hope you're ok. I'm still really fucking angry on your behalf BTW.

feathered my love, I hope you're ok too. I guess it's best to focus on that healthy heartbeat - human bodies are strange things and foetuses really are resilient little things when they make up their minds to be. Are you home? Just take it easy!

Bad luck for the vom mermaid. Though I was never actually sick, I did find supermarkets made me very wishy washy during my first Tri. I was always grateful to have the trolley to lean on. And poor Peenut too.

I'm tucked up in bed while DS and DH go swimming.
I 'ran' parkrun this morning - I'm obviously more pregnant because I got a lot more expressions of congratulations and disbelief today than I have before! It was hard, but worth it - I do so enjoy the smug feeling GrinWink

Got bugger all else except cooking dinner and watching strictly planned now. Lovely.

Good luck with the Xmas shopping 5hell! I had to get mine done super early this year, good to be organised but it didn't feel very christmassy in September!

Feathered glad you are home, gx for a very uneventful pregnancy from now on.

[Flowers] for the sicky viroids - hope you feel better soon. Take it easy, you wouldn't carry on with life as normal if you had a sickness bug so don't try to solider on through morning sickness!

Pretzel I would sterilise it in Milton tablets and then clean it with an alcohol wipe (because I have OCD).

Just a head's up that if you want to hire a TENS machine you are supposed to do it in advance...not once you have made it to 37 weeks (oops!). Also after doing some reading on the t'interweb it may be inadvisable to use www.tensmachines.co.uk, they get a pretty bad rep. Ordered mine from Boots so hopefully it will arrive soon!

oneyorkshirepud · 28/11/2015 13:54

Sterilising the epi-no in the dishwasher?!?!? Ha ha ha! Love it, didn't someone on Desperate Housewives sterilise their 'couple's massager' in the dishwasher? Is this a thing?!

ThursdayLastWeek · 28/11/2015 14:17

I don't actually have a dishwasher, but I believe when run on a high temp they're good for babies bottles and jars for jam etc etc
So I don't think an epi-no would be any different Grin unless they have electric parts?

OP posts:
oneyorkshirepud · 28/11/2015 14:47

Grin Ooh I can run the dishwasher on a high temperature I order to clean the inside of the dishwasher! That would satisfy my OCD! Had never thought of that!

Mermaid36 · 28/11/2015 15:18

Afternoon Viroids! I'm at my second market of the day - thankfully inside at both events.
Have had to invent a back condition to excuse why I'm not carrying my (15kg+) trays of stock around...Hmm

MollyBloomYes · 28/11/2015 16:20

Thursday yes that would be the most sensible thing to do, but at the moment I just can't let him go alone. He has a history of depression which normally I can keep tabs on but at the moment no idea what's going on. Part of how it manifests itself is sudden extreme symptoms such as collapsing. He even ended up in recus once because his vitals went so haywire they had no idea what was going on. No idea if he is depressed at the moment but I don't feel safe taking the risk at the moment. Probably being extreme but then I never thought he'd leave like this so who knows what might happen?

It was weird. At times like nothing had changed and we were just taking the boy out to the park then remembering everything. Massive moments of feeling like I will be ok and then utterly floored by it all. Have posted on relationships to get some positive stories of people who've come through this but you guys have been amazing thank you so so much. I'm sorry I'm being crap at catching up on everyone else's news but will resume normal chat soon promise

KeepTheHope · 28/11/2015 16:47

Feathered I'm really glad you got good news today and are home. Feet up and relax Brew

Molly it sounds like you did really well in difficult circumstances. Have a nice evening doing something you want to do Thanks

Good news today - I can do my work trousers up again!

Bad news today - first morning sickness. Felt rubbish until a couple of hours ago but back to normal now and starving so DH is treating me to some early dinner out.

pretzelpieces · 28/11/2015 18:26

I WISH I had a dishwasher! I don't even have space for a proper freezer, we have a mini one in the hallway under the coats! Grin DP says we'll have a dishwasher 'one day'. I live for that day. Milton tablets and alcohol wipes it is. I should rinse or water wipe after that though shouldn't I? Don't want to give myself thrush.

molly So many well dones for getting through it today, it must be very hard. Especially when you don't know if he's making these decisions in his right mind (not that that absolves him of responsibility).

pretzelpieces · 28/11/2015 18:28

What are people saying against Tens machines pud? I was planning to hire one. First part of my labour is likely to be on antenatal ward and I won't have access to a shower, which would have been my first choice of pain relief at that stage.

pretzelpieces · 28/11/2015 18:30

Sorry for third post in a row, but squeeee kindle paperwhite has mysteriously disappeared from my amazon wishlist since Black Friday (it was reduced). Exciting!! I've been a very good girl this year...

MollyBloomYes · 28/11/2015 18:45

Ooh pretzel I love my kindle. Might have to get a new case though as H got me one for our anniversary last year with 'happy anniversary wife' on it! Can't decide whether to take it to hospital with me, the maternity ward doesn't even have little lockers by the beds (what sort of bloody hospital is this?!) so bit worried about taking valuables in.

pretzelpieces · 28/11/2015 18:52

Oh molly I didn't think of that. Saying that, my stuff's never got nicked on a psych ward so hopefully it'll be fine. Sounds like you need to treat yourself to a lovely new case! I loved my kindle original... until I trod on it and it made a horrible crunch. I was mid horrible morning sickness and backache then and promptly burst into tears!

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 28/11/2015 20:15

Just popping in to say hello to all you lovely viroids! BrewCakeFlowersChocolate

Mermaid36 · 28/11/2015 21:41

Any of you have dogs? Are they acting any differently around you since you got pregnant?

oneyorkshirepud · 28/11/2015 21:50

No dogs Mermaid but my cats are weird/protective/love the bump!

Nothing against tens machines Pretzel, just that particular website. I hired from Boots just to be on the safe side.
