My bump 23 weeks

Arrow I love the stuff you can get in the USA, so much cheaper over there to!

RattyCatty · 10/10/2015 21:23

Lovely bump pics ladies! I will post one tomo when I'm 24 weeks x

BanglesSpangles · 10/10/2015 21:50

Hello lovely February 2016 ladies, just wanted to say hello from one of the class of 2015- our babies are all around the 8 months mark and there are plenty of us from the original February 2015 thread who are still in touch and planning a big meet up for our babies' first birthdays :)

Best of luck to all of you- and whatever any of those scaremongers tell you, child birth isn't that bad!

SmashleyHop · 10/10/2015 22:21

Love the bump pics.. I'll post mine tomorrow when I've actually showered.

TillITookAnArrowToTheKnee · 10/10/2015 23:07

Hi bangles thanks for popping in!

MIL came over today, haven't seen her since DH and I separated in June. Bit awkward at first but I mentioned cloth nappies and she got all excited (she did it with her first 2, disposables for the next 2) so that broke the ice. And she got to feel baby rolling around.

It won't be long until we move over into postnatal clubs... Doesn't seen 2 mins since I hesitantly posted on the first February thread!

MaisieDotes · 11/10/2015 01:02

Oh wow loads of lovely bumps! madsaz you have such a cute little bump Smile

I'm going to wait until the morning to take a bump photo as I'm just back from dinner out and look full term Grin Probably because I ate dinner before leaving the house thinking I'd just pick at a starter in the restaurant. But oh no. It was all sharing plates and I ended up eating loads Blush

The whole thing was a bit much for me though! Suffice to say I'll be avoiding the city centre on a Saturday night for the foreseeable

Ordered the double buggy today. It's a mountain buggy duet and cost a fortune but not as much as the ££££ bugaboo buffalo which thankfully I hated in the flesh.

Can't believe I'm still awake at 1am. I'm going to pay for this tomorrow!

Mawsymoo · 11/10/2015 07:57

Ooh maisie I'm jealous I love the look of the mountain buggy but I don't know if I can justify it. Did they say how long you'd have to wait for it to come in ? I'm trying to figure out how soon I need to order

MaisieDotes · 11/10/2015 08:07

They said six weeks mawsy - are you in the same part of the world as me? I went over to Eurobaby in Swords as that was the only place that I could look at the donkey and the mountain buggy together.

It did end up being quite dear as I got one carrycot to go with it and a couple of rain covers and whatnot. But seeing as I'm planning to spend a lot of time walking once the baby is born, hopefully it will be worth it!

MaisieDotes · 11/10/2015 08:09

I wanted to get it out of the way before the expense of Christmas kicked in! I had to pay 20% up front and then the rest is due when I go to collect.

Troika · 11/10/2015 08:18

Love all the bump pics :-)
DP was Hmm when he saw me looking at bumps on Google images.

Had my appraisal at work last week and discussed maternity leave. If possible I'll be working up til 39+5, with my cover working with me for a few weeks to hand over, then returning Jan 2017. My Childminder has given me a great rate so it's just about feasible for me to go back, although she has given me that on the assumption I'd be going back in Sept so I need to check that it still stands if I don't go back til Jan.

I feel much happier not having the pressure to return early, and knowing childcare isn't going to completely wipe out my wages. Fingers crossed my Childminder is OK with the arrangement...

Mawsymoo · 11/10/2015 08:24

Yeah I don't think we're too far apart maisie. I thought Bella baby in Dundrum had the donkey but maybe not? They definitely have the mountain buggy as I had a quick look at that and the out-n-about there a couple of months ago.

6 weeks is okay although with being due the end of January I'll have to build in an extra couple of weeks for Christmas. I suppose I'd better order by the beginning of Dec. We're still in the midst of house conveyancing stress so everything baby-related is on hold at the moment.

MaisieDotes · 11/10/2015 08:33

Ok yes I forgot about your house stress Sad

You're right, BB do have the donkey I just hadn't wanted to do Dundrum on a Sat afternoon and also I had decided not to give them the business as I had a massive row an issue with them previously re a repair to DS's current buggy. But that was just my own personal experience with them.

Why is it that when I overdo the food of an evening I always wake up starving! I'm mean to be getting a lie in as DH is on a rare day off and I'm just lying here thinking about food!

IslaMann · 11/10/2015 08:34

This is my enormous bump yesterday at 23+2. I'm worried at how big I'll be come the end!

Mawsymoo · 11/10/2015 08:47

Love all the bumps! I took one every week on DS but haven't taken any this time! My weekend mornings are significantly less leisurely!

Good point on the Saturday afternoon in dundrum maisie a drive to the other side of the city is definitely preferable! We got ds buggy there but didn't have any issues with it so we haven't "tested" them on their customer service!

jellypi3 · 11/10/2015 09:25

This is my bump in spain :) 24 weeks!

Love the bumpie.

RattyCatty · 11/10/2015 11:51

24 weeks today! Don't think bump has changed too much in past week!

goneswimming · 11/10/2015 18:34

Ladies, is there usually much movement on prices for travel systems in the January sales? I've got my eye on a Graco Evo bundle which has car seat, bassinet and pushchair for £359, and I'm wondering if it's worth waiting or just buying it now?

haquoi123 · 11/10/2015 20:14

That's a good question gone. I just assumed January sales would have good deals...

Lovely bump photos! It's amazing the difference in sizes isn't it?

OP posts:
MaryEllen1 · 11/10/2015 20:35

I've been thinking the same gone although mother care have a sale at the moment and the one I want is on offer. So am wondering whether to hold out or not Hmm

Happytimes2 · 11/10/2015 20:41

My bump is huge! I have the graco evo and love it! Used it loads for ds 1 and still going strong so will b using for ds2 . It's a bit bulky when folded so only fitted in my small boot a certain way and I would of liked to take it on the bus! I think it's just luck which ones get reduced and when. I think if u sign up to mothercareclub u get money off vouchers

TillITookAnArrowToTheKnee · 11/10/2015 20:50

I'd look for it elsewhere than mothercare - their prices are almost always higher than kiddicare, John Lewis and other baby retailers.

We're buying direct from Stokke - at this price I don't want to deal with a "middle man" IYWSIM?! With me being 5'3 and DH being 6'6, the Crusi is the best option for both of us and it can be turned into a double if I fancy having 2 under 3 again

Whoknewitcouldbeso · 11/10/2015 20:52

My bump today at 22.5 weeks Grin
