haquoi hope your hip stays put now. I've found standing with feet slightly wider then hip width apart and rocking my weight from one foot to the other normally puts my hip back in whe it subluxates.

I think baby had started putting his hands over his head and punching. It is the only thing that I can think of that explains the horrible feeling like he is trying to punch his way through my cervix. It makes me feel nauseous when he does it, so horrible. Getting up and moving seems to stop him but I do get scared he is going to break my waters.

Sighing · 18/11/2015 13:03

I bought some baby stuff (!!) I now HAVE to empty the "spare" room. The main thing I bought was fabric to make curtains but a hooded towel, cot sheets and a travel mat may have fallen in there too Blush

clarabellski · 18/11/2015 14:50

Hi everyone hope you are all feeling well Flowers

Had 28wk appointment this morning and my bump is measuring 28cm hurrah!

She said that the baby was curled up in a wee ball with its feet and hands punching out towards my stomach which meant she really had to dig around for the heartbeat. I think this baby senses when there are examinations coming up and then gets itself into the most awkward position it can think of! Wee rascal...

Hope noone's home was too badly damaged in the wind!

Salukigirl · 18/11/2015 16:33

Can i join in please??
I'm officially due on the 3rd of March but booked in for an induction on the 25th February.
This is my second, have one DS who is nearly 3. This one is another in team blue.

TillITookAnArrowToTheKnee · 18/11/2015 17:05

Hi saluki

Im quite sure that I am 40% Gaviscon at the moment. Urgh. Im absolutely worn out. PGP, heartburn, another UTI and this is the week I decide to cut down my ADs. And my repeat is up so I need to see a GP. All 3 of the ones I know well buggered off elsewhere in April so I will have to ser a totally new one. Peri Natal Psych still havent sent me a letter. 10 weeks after an urgent letter from my Consultant, 4 weeks ago my MW called them too fucking useless Fuming. Good job Im used to wanky MH services and Im used to doing this myself. Just hoping I can get a decent new GP.

TillITookAnArrowToTheKnee · 18/11/2015 17:07

Also in a PayPal dispute with an online store called twinkleontheweb - ordered nappies 3 weeks ago. Havent arrived. Chased it up and they were out of stock Hmm I asked when more would come in. No reply. PayPal have given them 10 days to respond, ffs.

jellypi3 · 18/11/2015 18:04

Oh no till that's so shit. Hope you hear back soon!

Welcome saluki

haquoi123 · 18/11/2015 20:18

Hi saluki!! Welcome! Another boy, lovely Smile

tilk that sounds awful, I'm sorry you're having to deal with all of that!

Congrats clara! I'm loving your baby's personality btw, especially after the 20 week scan.

rufus, I know what you mean about the baby possibly sabotaging himself, I've got a completely irrational far that my bubs is going to get wrapped up in his cord. There are a couple of mantras from hypnobirthing that I repeat constantly: 'baby knows best' and 'baby will come when he is ready'. They keep me going. The problem with seeking support from the community who has lost babies is that I keep forgetting a happy ending is the norm! keeping positive

On the keeping positive side of things, I took advantage of sainsburys double points offer and bought a few newborn babygros and vests. The first thing I've actively bought for him. They're so cute and tiny!

And a year after moving in, we've finally got a roman blind up in our living room. We live in a cul-de-sac, so our neighbours will be celebrating! Only thing is it's too short, too narrow and slightly wonky. Fml, can't be arsed anymore! DH and I exchanged exasperated high fives and are happily ignoring it.

Whoknewitcouldbeso · 19/11/2015 07:33

I'm having a boy too! Well it's my son's birthday today, he is three :). We were out celebrating with family yesterday and my Mother managed to make me feel like shit about how 'big' I am. Apparently I am carrying the baby 'all around the sides' not out front. For me this is just code for weight loss all over. Decided to get up and weigh myself this morning and I have actually lost 5lbs since my last weigh in and have put on about 10lb from my normal pre pregnancy weight where my BMI was 24. So am I justified he telling her to fuck the fuck off? Her comments totally put a downer on my day yesterday.

TillITookAnArrowToTheKnee · 19/11/2015 08:01

Tell her to fuck off.

Ive had Mums up at school tell me that Im massive. Considering my bump measures behind and Im having growth scans, I am definitely not massive. People are rude as fuck.

Whoknewitcouldbeso · 19/11/2015 08:07

That should say 'weight gain' all over. See I haven't had any strangers say anything bad at all, most people say I look really small. My Mother has a history of Anorexia in her teens and restricted eating throughout most of her life so that's probably why she is so weird about weight generally. I am going to up the vegetables I think just to feel a bit better about myself but I'm glad I jumped on the scales as otherwise I was about to start restricting my eating Sad

MaisieDotes · 19/11/2015 08:40

whoknew happy birthday to your DS Cake

If your mum has a history of disordered eating she probably isn't the best person to judge. It still hurts though Sad My mum can make me feel like absolute shite even though I know in my rational mind that her opinions are ill/ misinformed.

Just be supportive ffs mother!

CalypsoLilt · 19/11/2015 08:53

hi everyone

had my first wee related incident this morning...... tried to squeak out a fart and some wee came out instead! Shock

cold is nearly better, just in the snot phase now. and the pelvic pain has calmed down without taking codeine, which is a relief (although the pain is still there as background noise)

hi to saluki can I ask why you're having an induction?

sighing what baby stuff did you buy?! I've finally cleared my bedroom and sitting room after redecorating (with help from friends!), now I've got to clear the spare room too....very daunting :-/ going to play Star Wars Battlefront on the PS4 tonight instead Wink

clarabellski · 19/11/2015 09:30

Oh no Calypso! Blush I dread sneezing for same reason! Haha!

By the way, just had to share this - wearing pants under AND over my maternity tights today for the first time and IT IS AMAZING!!! They stay up! Yay! Cake

p.s. welcome saluki!

Posey01 · 19/11/2015 10:50

Welcome saluki!

Sympathise with the wee leakage - try and avoid sneezing! (must do Pelvic floor) And even though i've bought nice big pants they STILL ride up the back...loving the pants over the top of tights idea (superwoman) AND i think I've got a trapped nerve/sciatica pain - one spot right in my bum cheek, boo! Luckily it's not all the time.

I did however have reflexology last night...and today I have ankles! Really lovely to release some toxins :)

Rufus200 · 19/11/2015 11:42

whoknew I also have an anorexic mum who puts all her issues on me. 90% of the time I ignore her rude comments but occasionally she gets to me. I got really ill in 2008 and went down to a size 6, she still didn't think I was skinny enough. She has repeatedly said since my GD diagnosis that it is good and maybe I will lose weight now. Completely warped in the head!

clara you made me laugh with your double pants.

I've lost 2kgs in a week! Don't think I'm getting anywhere near enough calories in with no carbs or sugar. Worried baby isn't getting enough for his growth!

phoenix and isla Finally got a breakfast sorted that doesn't sky rocket my BG. Porridge with 1 tsp cashew nut butter, 1/2 tsp Nutella and berries. I am literally living on cashew nuts and clementines as snacks at the moment.

Sighing · 19/11/2015 12:56

CalypsoLilt Just those. Cot sheets; hooded towel; travel mat .... and some trousers reduced in M&S and a sleepsuit from Mothercare .... and a changing bag for DH (as mine is a bag that's just for me with space for my stuff!). Also ordered a baby gro with something from DH's obsession hobby on it. Errr. That may be all.
I've sorted the spare room (apart from my sewing wardrobe). It's not empty but it's all set to put in loft/ give away/ move in thr house etc.

goneswimming · 19/11/2015 19:04

Clara loving the double pants! TMI I know, but I'm already sweaty downstairs constantly, can't imagine adding another layer! Lol.

TillITookAnArrowToTheKnee · 19/11/2015 19:34

My cousin was anorexic from 13-24. She is now morbidly obese Sad Has no clue about food. Constantly makes comments about other peoples eating habits. I take what she says with a pinch of salt. We havent spoken since I reacted with horror at her feeding her 6 week old tinned mushy peas. Shock a baby that was born weighing 12lbs and was quite ill due to it Sad

Horrible mood today. Constant hip/back/stomach pains. Totally fed up.

I cheered myself up by buying Christmas crafts to do with DDs and DNeph tomorrow.

Will respond properly tomorrow, Im lying in bed watching Gilmore Girls.

NorthernChinchilla · 19/11/2015 21:33

Sheesh, that's a demented novel approach to infant nutrition till. Poor woman though, clearly utterly disordered with food.

Xing, it's odd that feeling when they kick, and it must just be over your bum or fanjo and it actually feels like you're being kicked there. DD was giving it some yesterday, I kept on twitching when I got hit hard and unexpectedly...thankfully I was at the back of the room for this large seminar, but my colleague was behind me so god knows what he though!

Hey calypso, glad to hear from you and that aside from the wee issue you're sounding brighter. At the very least the cold is buggering off and the pain reducing- means it's a bit easier to deal with the rest of the crap. How's it going on the house front?

By the way, I invested in some Boots maternity tights and I love them; first comfy tights I've worn in bloody years, and will keep them for post pregnancy. Given it was a recommendation from this thread, has anyone got any idea of some good non-VPL pregnancy pants? I've got a dress I want to wear for the Xmas do and need some Grin!!

Rufus200 · 19/11/2015 22:16

northern M&S have some VPL free pants in all shapes. I bought some full briefs and midi today for when I have my c-section. Proper granny pants! Haven't tried them on yet to see if they are VPL free. Also M&S is doing 20% off all clothing with a sparks card, in store only at the moment, not sure how long it lasts.

Sighing · 20/11/2015 04:26

You can get the vpl ones at m&s in shapes that don't impact on the bump. But be wary. Most are synthetic, sweat may be an issue (though i am sure you're more ladylike than me).

NorthernChinchilla · 20/11/2015 07:32

Off to M&S I go then! Most people beat me on the ladylike front sighing, it's really not hard Grin. And if I get stuck next to an open fire I'll just take them off (see what I mean Wink)

I've still got the mahoosive pants from the last c-section rufus, think mine were from Matalan in three-four sizes up. Can't wait to be back in those!

CalypsoLilt · 20/11/2015 08:18

hey chinchilla yeh I have an actual functioning sitting room now which is amazing, only took 3.5 weeks, but it means no more clambering over a sofa in my bedroom or eating meals on my bed.....makes such a difference to my psyche! :D Have decided to bite the bullet and buy a new L-shaped sofa for my sitting room which will create loads more space (no doubt to be cluttered by baby things!). Then it's just to tackle the nursery.....

How are things up north? They have forecast snow in my area tomorrow! (Hants)

Whoknewitcouldbeso · 20/11/2015 09:32

I've been in HUGE granny pants the whole pregnancy so far lol.
