Morning everyone!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
runnyhabbit · 28/11/2006 20:26

I have just had a thought (you've been warned.....)

What about one gigantic meet up for everybody after Christmas - say in London?....

I know it would take a bit of organising, but I wouldn't mind jumping on a train to meet up.

Like I said though, its just a thought.....

weeonion · 28/11/2006 20:39

good evening folk s- and what a greta half hour i just spent reading!

maveta = loved yr post - it is nice to get stuff isnt it. i have a box that i sslowly filling

CD - it made me smile that yr bump was looking lovely / cute. mine seems to have grown overnight but cute is not what i woudl call it! it actually freaks me to see it but i seem to have gained a bump on each thigh, my butt cheeks and chest as well. when will this stop?????
1b3 - i agree that u mist be a saint with the wayward nephew and testostorone driven SS!!
sallyc- congrats on scan!
Welcome opinionsrus - add yr self to the scan/ stats thread!

we have our scan tmorrow. v v v nervous. even more so than i was for the first. like liath - this is costing £200 so xmas is a quieter affair. really want to know flavour - heres hoping it aint shy!
at times convinced that bean aint well / alive. then woried that it wont be ok - and that is just the start of the dark thoughts. i havent had a full nights sleep for 5 weeks now. averaging about 3 hours but i never was a good sleeper. good practice for april time i reckon.

runnyhabbit · 28/11/2006 20:49

WO - hope everything goes weel for your scan tomorrow. if it makes you feel any better, I have dark days worrying about the baby too. (and the only other person i've admitted that to is dh) but as time goes on, those days get less and less.

1becomes3 · 28/11/2006 20:57

Can't believe it The alcoholic nephew has nicked my place on the couch, and my special micro bean-bag cusion

Other than that he seems to be behaving himself, although my blood hound smelling senses tell me that he has been smoking in our extension, which I told him not to as neither DH or I smoke and the smell of it when pg makes me feel sick.

Opinionsrus-welcome! lets hope it is a boy, you don't want to get loads of blue bits and the "willy" turns out to be the cord or a huge Clitoris!

As for the meet up in London I think it is a great idea!
Southampton is a bit far especially with DD in tow, and Bristol is a bit out of our way aswell even though it is on the way to Wales we only take 1 car and I would have to drag not only DD but DH aswell.
Although if CD your offer to meet in London is still open would love to and RH, I am always so bored when we go to Cardiff so that would be great aswell!

runnyhabbit · 28/11/2006 21:08

1b3 - let me know when you're down next

runnyhabbit at btinternet dot com

1becomes3 · 28/11/2006 21:13

That scan congrats was for sallyC aswell. Also same thing about the cord/clit

A yes opinionsrus I do have back pain it's not fun but it seems that we have it easy as many people on here have something which sounds a hell of alot more painful.
And on the eating Not so much cravings but I can't eat olives, gravey or spag bol!

Sexonlegs · 28/11/2006 21:56

God ladies, I cannot keep up with you all.
Welcome opinionsrus - hope you enjoy this fab thread. I have been getting backache towards the end of th day, and have also been experencing some twingy/gripy pains in my tummy. Not pleasant and really catch me out sometimes.
Sally, congrats on the scan.
WO, good luck with yours tomorrow.
God, I cannot remember anything else - so tired tonight!
Liath, thinking of you.

Sorry this post is so short and I have missed hundreds of things. Feel like a space cadet - so much so that I am going to bed!

See you all in the morning. xx

eca · 28/11/2006 22:20

hi

opinionsrus - YES! I have HATED how the sickness just swept my life away from under my feet. I had about 3 months where I couldn't leave the house/work/eat/walk/cook etc.etc. Not nice. Poor dh had to do EVERYTHING! How you did it with ds as well, I don't know. I daren't even think about how I'll ever have more.

WO - can't believe you have to pay £200 for scan! That's so unfair !!Hope it goes really well for you and puts your mind at rest at bit.

geordiemacminx · 29/11/2006 09:37

WO - What time is your scan? Have you decieded whether you are going to tell us the flavour yet??

maveta · 29/11/2006 09:39

WO how come you have to pay for your scan?? seems like a lot of money? LOL at your bumps popping out all over the place!

Any other scans happening today? I feel like I need to print out the stats thread to stay on top of us all!

Feeling much better today, dh spoke to all of his siblings again and (finally!) they told him to go on his holiday and not worry as there will be more than enough for him to do to help when he gets back..YAY! So I am very happy that we get our holiday and also that he can go with a light heart knowing his fam-dam are not going to think he's a terrible son for doing so.

I slept TERRIBLY last night, felt like a proper, can't-sleep-because-I'm-pregnant thing, my bump still isn't that big at all but last night it felt really heavy, bean was moving loads and couldn't get my legs comfy. Really hope it was a one off and not the start of bad nights' sleep..I love my sleep so much!

Thanks for ALL the clarification re. clothes, I really do feel much better at least understanding what each item is/does now!

ib3 your dh's nephew..so sorry it hasn't got off to an all too promising start but hang in there. You are a lot more patient than me, I would have just chucked him off the couch and asked for my cushion back, I'm never shy about my own things in my own house...Tell him off!!!

Sorry to everyone I have forgotten, I do read all the posts and always think of things to reply to each one but by the time I get to the end it's all gone!

weeonion · 29/11/2006 09:40

hey gmm - scan isnt til 7pm att nuffield. i think MN doesnt really count as breaking a secret so yep -will be on later to let you know if there is a sausage or a burger cooking in this BBQ.

absolutely bricking it. me and the cat were up all night!

geordiemacminx · 29/11/2006 09:51

Thats ages away!!!! Although mine is still a week and a day away!!

Thats ok then.. I'm sure we would have got it out of you next friday anyways!!

my cat is sick to death of my nocturnal habits..If I get up I feed him, he then crawls back into his bed.. little sh*t bag!!

Bramshott · 29/11/2006 09:52

Fingers crossed for you weeonion - hope th day flys by!

I have backache already but not as bad a last time, and only on the days I work all day, which is sort of wierd - sitting down obviously isn't too good for it. So by the end of Wed (I work all day Tues & Wed, and half days the other days) I am all achey and have to heat up my lavender warming cushion thing (£3ish off ebay!) and have a good moan/stomp round the kitchen sighing.

Maveta - are your legs twitchy/crampy at night? Mine are and I've found that if you circle each ankle 10 times before you settle down, they are less painful. It's so horrible when you just can't get comfortable not matter which way you turn isn't it?

Hello to everyone I've forgotten, hope you're having a good day and the sun is shining.

CornflakeKid · 29/11/2006 10:04

Morning everyone and welcome to opinionsrus!

I have really bad back and tummy muscle pain and waiting to see physio - may call them if not heard by friday - may not go to work this week if doesn't ease up - have had tears this morning - pain coupled with dh wanting to know why hadn't ironed ds1 school polo shirt - put him well and truly in his place!

I love babies in babygros - to me thats cute outfits like sleepsuits without feet! Vests/bodysuits can be short or long sleeve and sleepsuits are long with feet and maybe built in scratch mits!! I have inherited some jeans in newborn size but like babies in softer outfits - cloth nappies also fit under!

Bean loved the jaffa cakes - need to go raid cupboard and see what is available for elevensies!

Have good day everyone and good luck weeonion with scan xoxoxoxoxoxo

maveta · 29/11/2006 10:05

WO - hope everything goes fine, try not to be anxious about it - you get to see your bean again! I can't wait.

GMM - aren't they little rugrats? I totally supernanny my cat if I get up at night to go for a pee. He follows me to the toilet mewing the whole way (during the day they always come to the loo with me and get lots of cuddles and conversation normally!) and I don't say a WORD to him or touch him..my way of saying 'it's not morning, go back to sleep, this isn't play time' hehe..just practising I guess

Bramshott- they haven't been but last night they just felt restless and uncomfortable but I will give your wee exercise a shot and see if it helps relax me. I was a complete pain to sleep with last night tossing and turning, huffing and puffing but dh took it very well indeed. What a trooper .

CaptainDippy · 29/11/2006 10:12

Morning!! FIL and MIL have taken DD1 out this morning - - I am beginning to wonder what their ulterior motive is in all this nice-ness!!? I think they realise that they they are going away for a lot of Jan - Feb (BIL and DW and DN live in New Zeleand) - so they are doing their bit now as it is going to be a fair old while til they can help again ......

Anyway, enjoying the time and space to myself while DD2 is in bed .......

Enjoy your shopping trip / nice lunch with your mum runny and would LOVE to do a gigantic Meet-Up in London - end of Feb / beginning of March would be best for me - We should start a thread to discuss it if people are interested!

weeonion - Thinking of you as you go for your scan today honey - hope everything is funky-dory and little Bean shoes you his / her BBQ!! ..... and that you have to pay that much for a scan - ARGH!!!! I have those "Dark Thoughts" too, never had them quite so much with last 2 PG's, but really worried about Bean this time. Bump doesn't seem to have grown v.much recently and I haven't felt loads in the way of movement - just feeling a bit scared really - So you are not alone with those thoughs honey! [hugs]

1B3 - Grr to your Nephew nicking your space - Grrrr! ... and Grrrr! to the possible smoking too - you must stand your ground - he sounds like a right PITA!! .....and yes, would LOVE to meet in London sometime ......

  • That DH has been persuaded to stay for the duration of your holiday maveta - that is great news!!

Gosh - lots to do ..... Have been having a complete PITA trying to switch MW's, is driving me CRAZY - think I might just be getting somewhere now though ......

CaptainDippy · 29/11/2006 10:13

Oh, and driving was fine btw! Thank you for asking! I am 18 + 6 today! Still aaaaagggggeeeessss til my scan though ....

eca · 29/11/2006 10:24

morning all!

MIL and FIL are coming over today, we don't see them that often, so will be nice to catch up. CD - i wish they were closer like yours for future help with ds or dd!

I'm excited about my scan next week, but feeling a big underlying worry about it too. Don't know why. Will be glad when it's done. Have had 5 scans so far coz of probs and feels wierd not to have had one for a while!

Sorry you're in such pain CFK
Glad to hear about your hol being sorted Maveta

eca · 29/11/2006 10:33

now my bump is seriously starting to grow gonna be watching out for FIL's bump-stroking tendencies!

how do I fend him off without upsetting him!!??!!

Sexonlegs · 29/11/2006 10:35

Morning all.
Maveta, I am so glad things have been resolved and you and dh can have your holiday. When are you off? Where are you going?

Hello to everyone else too. Hope you are all feeling tickety boo.

I am knackered again as dd was coughing again - 1.30 and 4.30. Feel awful. Sitting around in front of Cbeebies this morning which is a bit naughty, but haven't the energy to do anything else!

I am like many of you, having worries about this bean - not moving much etc. I had a listen in again today with the doppler and he/she sounds fine, but I can't wait for the 12th!

Anyway, things to do, so must go really. Will catch up with all the news later on. xx

CaptainDippy · 29/11/2006 10:38

Gosh - lots of us are worried about our Beans, aren't we.

Hug]]]]]]]]]]]

Argh, sooooo much to do, sorry you had a bad night SOL! [hugs]

1becomes3 · 29/11/2006 10:41

Morning, had some broken sleep last night as the "N"'s phone went off about 3 am then could get back off, then DH woke up and decided to go and wash the dishes (Very random thing to do at 3am)
Other than that kicked the "n" off the couch and made him watch our programs on t.v even though he was hinting that he wanted to watch something else (oh well )

What is a PITA CD is it like Pita bread? Or is it some MN abbreviation I have to work out?

Can't remember who was talking about cramp in the legs but I get it every couple of days, mainly in the night and it's so painful and annoying.
I have also been getting wrist pain, I think that has something to do with things expanding to let more blood flow through!?!

CaptainDippy · 29/11/2006 10:44

PITA = Pain In The Arse!!!

and Grrrrrr! to your N!!!! > How old is he btw?? Shouldn't he be doing some work???

Bramshott · 29/11/2006 10:49

I have recurrent cramp in my right buttock

CaptainDippy · 29/11/2006 10:49

Ooooooh, come over 'ere love, let me give it a wee rub ......
