Morning everyone!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Oh Nuttygirl, tears of laughter at the text of your conversation in the Body Shop! Hilarious!

Also, know what you are going through re kitchen. We had an extension on the kitchen this year, and actually moved out for the duration as the mess was diabolical! Dust everywhere! Hang on in there - it will be worth it when it is all finished. x

CaptainDippyClausWithABump · 05/12/2006 14:59

Awww, blss you nuttygirl!!

Afternoon, still continuing to be v.manic in DippyLand - am at work and grabbing a few spare moments to catch up on here.

Hope all went ok with the mw Pesha.

Oooooh, I think the name Alex for a boy or girl is lovely Tili!

@ thrush runny - hope it clears up soon. x

Funily enough eca - My DH fancies the name Persephone too - She was the Queen of Hades (Hell) though, probably not the greatest associations!!

Caiomhe is lovely onion, really unusual.

Glad you had a fab w/e in Bath Emmy - very

I didn't feel any kicks til I was at least 25 weeks with my 1st Katy and if Bean was all fine and dandy at your scan, I wouldn't worry too much. - If you want a little reasurance, go and see your MW and get her to use the Doppler etc - they won't mind!

Personally SORL, I'd get a Sitter - especially as you don't know this guy and DD doesn't know him. Just do whatever you feel most comfortable with honey!

Lots to do, best go .........

SparklySnowflakeKid · 05/12/2006 15:11

Which oil did you get nuttygirl? Have never massaged down there myself before but have just thought of new job for dh . I have seen them in magazines - ranging in price from £3 to £15 - so not sure what looking at. Sounds fun but practical

Posted my xmas cards and parcels today at post office and there was no queue - but did walk there thinking spd would be okay but feeling pretty sore now. Off to get ds1 from school, have friends coming round for tea then christmas drinkies tonight in the village.

Have a nice evening everyone xoxoxoxoxox

CaptainDippyClausWithABump · 05/12/2006 15:15

Oooooh, snowflake - you naughty minx!! "All Hail" to you posting off cards and gifts - should (hopefully) be doing that by the end of the week myself!!

liatHoHoHo · 05/12/2006 15:31

Testing Xmas name....

liatHoHoHo · 05/12/2006 15:35

Hurrah, it worked.

Tili, I am so glad you mentioned braxton hicks as I've started getting them too & I'm sure it's much earlier this time - was starting to worry a teeny bit! Feel more reassured now that it's normal for number 2.

Bought our Xmas cards today and have bought most of the presents . DH is currently turning the place upside down looking for the filofax I keep the Christmas card list in. It's vanished and we'll be lost without it!

bubblez · 05/12/2006 15:40

Hello All,

Been a long time since my last post and I don't even know how to begin catching up.

I love these little festive smileys glad I'm not the only one getting into the xmas spirit (xmas tree and decorations all went up last night, dd's face this morning was a picture)

Well I hope that everyone is good. (will go back down the thread and check in a min)

I'm shattered has been one thing after another in the bubblez household and last night topped it off as I woke up in the middle of the night with a full on pannic attack . Was hyperventilating (sp), tight chest, palpitations (sp) the works and no idea why.
Also I think I'm going to have to change my hospital as I'm struggling to make it to my antinatal apts (and they don't seem to do shared care or home visits) I just hope that it will be possible. Wow I'm really starting to sound like the voice of doom and gloom.

Ok will go and try to catch up now on how all you ladies and bumps are.

22+1
xzx

CaptainDippyClausWithABump · 05/12/2006 16:18

Hope you find the Filofax - LiatHoHoHo - LOL @ your Festive name!!

Hi bubblez - Good to see you honey!!

MerryBugmum · 05/12/2006 16:39

Had me scan today! Went feeling RUBBISH, as I'd had almost no sleep with me cough and had a thumping headache, but it was lovely when we got there. All seems fine with the bean...and it's another blue one for the tally

Nice to have another boy; the gap will be 27 months, so I hope they'll be mates. Only two regrets about now never having a daughter: I don't get to read her the Heidi and Katie books etc, and I had a GREAT girly name planned (Sidney Elizabeth Stella), whereas am having real trouble thinking of another boy's name. Claus?

AngeGabriel · 05/12/2006 16:45

Glad the scan went well merrybugmum - hooray another blue bean

geordiemacmincepie · 05/12/2006 16:45

Congrats BM.... pleased everything went well!!

I love the name stella too but am worried about the lager assosisation... any thoughts anyone?

AngeGabriel · 05/12/2006 16:47

Names is something i'm really struggling with. Can't think of any I like boys or girls. The ones I do like have already been nambed by family or close friends.

bubblez · 05/12/2006 17:00

Thank you CD - love the name change need to find one for myself.

Congrats BM - I find boys names particularly difficult to think of as all the ones I like dp doesn't. What is your ds's name? Do you like traditional/common names or more unique/unusual names? I liked Leon (dp's dad's name) Daniel (dp's brothers name) dp doesn't want to name a ds after anyone in his fam. Tyler, Jaydon, Tyrell(more unusual) Reese (some people think its chavvy but I like it).... and other equally unusual names. What sort of name are you after?

DecaTheHalls · 05/12/2006 17:30

evening all

Congrats BM, glad the scan went well.

I think Stella is a very funky name GMM, thinking Stella Macartney. Have a Brazillian friend whos name is Maristella, Stella for short.

Lol Nutty at your BodyShop conversation!

Well, I've had a reasonable productive day. Finally getting back to my books. Preg brain is finding it slightly hard to cope, but I always did spend alot of time staring into space!

Popped to the post office too. Nephew is in Iraq in the armed forces for xmas (bless him, he's only 19) and at the mo you can post them parcels for free so have sent him some christmassy things to cheer him up!

nuttygirl · 05/12/2006 18:10

Just thought I'd pop in and check up but must be quick as DH on his way home from work and he thinks I'm cleaning

Snowflake...it'sin the Vitamin E range....think it called pure wheatgerm oil. It was £4.50. I read on another thread you can use olive oil....but wasn't sure if they meant the type you get in a supermaket and TBH the thought of using that down there makes me wanna start itching!!!!

Congrats on the scan MB.

Not much use on the names front...not many DH and I agree on. At the moment we're thinking of Esme Grace (pronouncing esme as es-may rather than es-me IYSWIM). We liked Lily for a first name but someone at DH work has baby called Lily and that puts DH off even tho I say they might not be working together forever and they live nowhere near us so it's not like they're gonna be at school together or best friends.

Argh...better go before DH gets in...

CaptainDippyClausWithABump · 05/12/2006 18:27

Hello!

Glad the scan went well, despite feeling rough BugMum, congratulations on the Blue Bean! Sydney is a looovely name for a wee girlie, shame you can't use it! Claus is cool!

Names .......

Mmmmmmmm.......

Well, I've already shared mine: Phoebe Elisabeth Joan for a girl and Arthur Benjamin for a boy - What do you guys think??

Stella is nice Geordie, perhaps Estelle??

Esme and Lily and both nice too, nutty - So many ideas ......

Bless your poor wee nephew eca - only 19 and in Iraq for Christmas - So sweet of you to send him a Christmassy package to cheer him up!!

Best go and help DH with girls .....

treacletart · 05/12/2006 18:38

whispers: < pssssst! remember me? I'm pregnant again! >

weewishyouamerryonion · 05/12/2006 18:48

oh wow - congrats tfeacle.... fab news!!!!!!

geordiemacmincepie · 05/12/2006 18:53

TreacleTart thats wonderful news!1! So pleased for you!!!

harktheheraldheidlesings · 05/12/2006 18:57

I am loving all of your baby name suggestions - it's great to be able to chat about names without being worried what people think/ or pinchng.
my SIL had a discussion with a mutual friend about names - they were both pregnant at the same time, and wouldn't you know it - said friend had hers first, and pinched my SIL's boys name . fortunately, she had a girl, but we've learnt from this treachery!!!!
but I guess with us lot, we could all use the same names and it wouldn't really matter! I'd be flattered - not that you'd want mine, you all seem to have better imaginations than me..
we already have a daniel arthur, and a james alfred (I wish I'd been brave enough to call him alfie) so if this is a boy he'll be adam benjamin, and the girls choice is (still) harriet mary

harktheheraldheidlesings · 05/12/2006 18:58

oooohhh meant to say, treacletart - great news, how pregnant are you then?
I love exciting news!!!!!

treacletart · 05/12/2006 19:11

LMP 06/11 following ERPC 06/10 at 11wks so guess that makes me 4 weeks. Early days and all that but I'm very happy its happened so quickly. You were all so supportive in October I just wanted to share the news asap!

SparklySnowflakeKid · 05/12/2006 19:18

Excellent news treacletart - so pleased for you xoxoxoxoxox

Love the names - we have been on Jack for about a week...but there is a long way to go! I have a Stan and a Ted (not Edward!) already so needs to kind of go with them. Very very difficult.
