Morning everyone!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
CornflakeKid · 01/12/2006 21:35

ooggs - try turning your toes up towards you and eating bananas (contain lots of potassium) - hope it helps but don't hold me to it!!

ho ho ho mrs santa claus - we are putting up our tree on sunday!

CaptainDippy · 01/12/2006 22:34

I don't have any either, Ellie!

Book Group was good, but I felt terrible leaving FIL alone at home to cope with DD1 who has recently become a complete cheeky bugger at bed time - Refusing to go to bed, messing around etc. He ended up putting her in the travel cot in the front bedroom to settle. When he went to check on her, she'd ripped off her trousers, unpopped her popper vest, ripped off her nappy and weed everywhere. She's now back in her own bed without a nappy on (don't know why he didn't put another one on when he transferred her!) Pleeeeease tell me this is normal - she will be 3 in February and this bedtime behaviour is driving me nuts ......

Gosh I'm tired....

runnyhabbit · 01/12/2006 22:45

Hi everyone!

Work computer has def got virus, so no e-mail or internet for me during work time so having to catch up at home

Oooggs - if it makes you feel any better, the lady on the checkout in tesco today told me that she didn't think I had far to go. Nearly had to pick her off the floor when I told her my due date and I'm only having 1 (or so I'm told....)

CFK - really feel for you with SPD. Some days mine seems to disappear. So I manage to get loads of stuff done, but the I really pay for it the following day. Night time is def worse for me. Dh and ds decided it would be fun to tickle mummy on the settee tonight. I moved too quickly, heard a loud crack (sorry tmi) and nearly fell over in pain. Don't think ds has ever seen me cry

Liath - hugs to you

Pmsl vibrators. Have got a nasty case of thrush (sorry tmi again!) so between that and spd, sex is the last thing on my mind. Have to admit that I do miss it though

About maternity leave. I'm aiming to finish 2 weeks before, but do not have stressful job, and only work parttime. With ds I worked stupidly long hours in a very stressful environment and finished a month before.

Going out tomorrow night, so I get to wear my new party dress had slight panic last week - when I tried it on, the lining was too tight mum has managed to put an extra panel in she really is a gem. dh has got his works do tomorrow as well, so ds is staying with mil for the first time. I know he will be well looked after, and have lots of fun, but still feeling a bit nervous. Told dh he can drop him off, as I think I would burst into tears

Lots of (((hugs))) to everyone and have a lovely weekend

x

21+3

CaptainDippy · 01/12/2006 22:47

Oooooh runny, night out sounds fun - especially with DS staying overnight elsewhere too! Hope you have a fab time!!

CornflakeKid · 01/12/2006 22:50

oh yes cd - very normal! Its when they flush their clothes and nappy down the toilet and block the whole system you really need to start practising your breathing exercises! Luckily mine know about santa claus - so we are in bribery heaven at this time of year - a) you have to believe in santa and b) he drops off naughty boys pressies last - but sometimes reindeers get very tired etc etc...what a mean mummy!

CornflakeKid · 01/12/2006 22:55

We should make a list of ailments

spd
thrush
constipation
haemmeroids
leaky boobs (mine def are - dries out and flakes off tmi!)
sciatica
depression
headaches
nausea
swollen ankles
porridge pg brain
spots/acne
road map boobs
jordan boobs

please feel free to add more...

Enjoy your night our runny!

CornflakeKid · 01/12/2006 22:56

CaptainDippy · 01/12/2006 23:01

Keep reassuring me about horrid 3 yr olds who won't go to bed at night .........

doobydoo · 02/12/2006 11:14

Liath..thinking of you.I really hope all goes well[obviously]and hope you are getting all the care and attention you need[hugs]
So sorry to hear about those with AND..I did not know that existed!Hope you are all ok too.
I have a notebook[from today]It is my '2nd brain book'as i am fed up with not being able to remember day to day stuffHope i remember to write in it
I have my scan next friday and feel nervous about if all limbs will be there etc.I have very horrid vivid dreams..like the rest of you have mentioned..hard to keep the anxiety at bay sometimes isn't it?
Hope everyone is ok today.
Where is MIAM?

eca · 02/12/2006 11:29

Hey dooby scan buddie! I'm looking forward to next fri, with an underlying 'will be relieved to get it over with!' Bad dreams sound awful, thankfully not had those yet.

GMM hope the puking has stopped. Have MUCH sympathy for you. They gave me some tablets that stop the vomiting and are absorbed in the mouth if you're still puking maybe should look into it??

Liath - glad you didn't have to have the amnio (not nice) but hoping all the other scans etc go well for you.

Well, I had a LOVELY day yesterday, Was my birthday and dh had day off work and spoilt me rotten! Managed to go out for a meal and cinema without puking or having to come home early coz I felt so sick. Poor little bean didn't know what had hit it with the surround sound! Was wriggling all over the place. I think the woman next to me thought I was very strange and possibly that I was about to start taking my trousers off (trying to get comfy!!)! Oh well.

Am thinking the morning sickness/hyperemesis really must be passing now hurrah!

Because I'm doing PhD/student I don't get maternity leave as such, but it does mean that I'll probably be at my desk right up until the contractions start coming! Need to do some serious catching up after having so much time off in early preg. It also means that I probably wont have the luxury of 9months to relax and forget about work! Will probably have to get back to it asap

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend.
xx

CaptainDippy · 02/12/2006 13:10

LOL @ "2nd Brain Book" dooby!! Think I need one of those - better than countless scraps of paper all round the house ....

Happy Birthday!! - For yesterday Eca - glad you have a super day and Bean behaved itself - LOL @ lady in cinema being worried you might take your trousers off - what did you go and see??

Just come back from Christmas Party and both DD's are sleeping - hurrah!! DH just making lunch, so had best go before he gets grumpy - don't want to push my luck - he IS making lunch after all!!

How are you GGF?

Where is MIAM??

eca · 02/12/2006 13:23

Hi CD

Went to see Casino Royale. Was really good, but preg brain found the plot a bit tricky to follow, dh explained though!

Hope you had nice lunch, I just made some cheese muffins for us. Yum!

CaptainDippy · 02/12/2006 14:50

Lunch ws nice -

Ooooh, Casino Royale - DH and I went to see that last week and I enjoyed it, especially the v.sexy Daniel Craig - Yum! Yum!

WaspElly · 02/12/2006 15:45

Hi to all, hugs to those that need them (my SPD is intermittent - how IS one supposed to excerise with SPD?) And shoulder here for any AND - bro is currrently signed off work with depression, so I know how awful it can be. Accept help from us all - please.
Maternity leave? With DS I left my horrid, stressful FT job in the smoke 2 months before EDD - When it came down to it money wasn't as important as health or hapiness .
This time working FT stress-free locally I'll probably wait 'til mid-March & take 10 days holiday getting the other 10 as extra pay fwiw!
Ah yes mid-term energy - is that why I'm yelling at dh about him lounging on sofa doing nothing whilst I'm at very least polishing all available shoes in the house, making tea, washing, ironing etc??
I've got a rabbit too (actually it's my second )
Epic post - but ds has just woken up, so time to rescue him & get him sorted before we cart him off to our frineds where he's going to bed upstairs (yeah well, we hope) whilst we have a dinner party....
See y'all..

Sexonlegs · 02/12/2006 16:18

Hi all, hope everyone is ok. Not many posts today.
Really worried about MIAM now.
My dh keeps saying I am doing too much, and promptly sits down and reads all about the bloody Ashes! So, who is going to do all the housework then - the magic housework fairy!!!!??? FGS!!!
Thought I was coming down with a bug last night as I had crampy tummy pains, but gladly nothing came of it. There is so much going around.
Anyway, had better head - thinking of nipping to the shops to buy some festive CD's to get in the mood for Christmas.
See you later. xx

CaptainDippy · 02/12/2006 18:34

We've been playing our Festive CD's since mid-Nov - I love Christmas!!

Reeeeally hoping DD1 settles for bed well tonight, she has been SUCH a little monkey lately!!

Hope you have a super Dinner Party out WaspElly. I'll be in tonight, frantically trying to get our illusive Christmas letter writtten ...... Argh!!

I am V.worried about MIAM too.
